I Wanna Dance With Somebody (108,310) by Bobby A from United States
MC's problem right now is not having a solid team behind her and guiding her career. I feel she has been making a lot of business decisions on her own since she left Roc Nation. These bad business decisions have affected her voice, performances, and MC16's delayed release. I wish Babyface would save her career like he saved Toni Braxton's career with their album Love.

Angie Stone (108,309) by Terna from Nigeria
It is so sad that people get away with so much evil and the good souls like miss Stone, most often are the casualties of the such scenarios. This is what Muni Long addressed on the Breakfast Club last year, there's so many ways an artist or creator of music can get ripped off in the business, if you don't find all those loopholes. You have to know the way songwriting, publishing, royalties etc. Work and ensure no other person's name is documented where it should be yours - she even says once in a while revisit and recheck just to make sure. It's just so alarming the way that music industry is full of snakes. May Angie Stone rest now.

Yes, it so sad about her passing. I send prayers to her children and family. I am glad that I have my collection to listen to her music. What is really bizarre is that a few months before her death she exposed on Facebook Live that Universal Music had been receiving all of her royalties and mechanicals for all of the songs she has written. That is really sad knowing she has been in the music industry for over 40 years and she doesn't have the money to show for it.

The issue I have (108,307) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I would [love] a new sit down, but agree not with Oprah. They are to close, and we don't get much new info because they shield [each other]. I wish Mariah had done the full media circuit when she released her [memoir]. I would love something unexpected like with Kaitlan Collins. She's the closest interviewer we have to Barbara Walters and she's a [millennial], so Mariah's music is obviously a part of her musical tapestry during her childhood through to young adult as it is with all [millennials]. I also like the idea because she's removed from the entertainment industry, unlike an Oprah, JHud, Whoopi, Andy Cohan, Anderson Cooper etc.

I want Mariah to address directly the following info: the passing of her [mom] and [sister] on the same day, what ever happened with all those [lawsuits] with Stella and that other assistant, [bi-polar] awareness and her approach to maintaining good mental health, does she have relationships with Nick Cannon's harem of women and all Roc & Roe's half siblings, does she see herself acting again, and a super simple question: what label are you on and what happened to the music.

So sorry to hear that Angie Stone passed away by an accident. I loved her neo-soul songs. What a powerful voice. "Wish I didn't miss you" was my tune back then.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody (108,304) by Jamie from UK
So I finally got round to watching the Whitney movie I Wanna Dance With Somebody. I really enjoyed it, but it made me feel sad at the way they portrayed her reflecting on loosing her voice. It got me thinking about Mariah and how she must feel. While they are both completely different circumstances, we know Mariah has her vices too. It must be really difficult to acknowledge you have lost your once powerful and distinctive voice. Whilst we don't fully know what's going on with Mariah, I can't help but think I want to sit down with her and get to the bottom of it all. She hasn't been herself for a while now, whether it be vocal decline or her mental state, something is off. She seems to have lost her personality, I can't quite put my finger on it, she's just seems different. I agree with her sitting down with someone to lay her cards on the table and then get the help she needs. She needs to know admitting things doesn't mean it's completely over. I think playing this façade of everything being ok is doing her more harm mentally. The problem as I've said before is firstly people around her approaching the subject and then secondly Mariah admitting to it. It must be really difficult for her, but I truly feel if she drops this diva persona, and portrays a classy approach to personality and craft, I think she would get more respect. She's done the diva, the hood persona, she's nothing more to prove, bring it back to basics and remind people of the great classy artist that she should be at this stage of her career.

Just a thought (heading correction) (108,303) by Bobby A from United States
I feel MC underestimates how well her ballads reasonate with the general public. I don't understand why she is so hesitant to release a WBT or DFAU type of ballad with Made For Me remix type of vocals. Yes, I am hungry for new music. I want MC back on the radio in 2025. I wish she wasn't such a perfectionist.

Just curious Eric, why do I see the change on a public computer (not logged in), but not when I am logged in on my phone?

She seems not very likeable. I never understood why she is so famous with her talk shows. So I also hope Mariah won't choose her for an "open" interview.

I agree. Being interviewed by Oprah doesn't carry the same impact it once did, especially compared to the '90s when she was at her peak.

I always thought Mariah's best interviews with were people like Donny Simpson, Craig Seymour, etc. The interviews she did with them always went beneath the surface and challenged Mariah to reveal different sides of herself.

BFF, until we can get what Summer Walker says in her songs to hook men, the single life will stick around for us. Seriously, I have given up on finding love. I have come to the conclusion that having a someone in my life is not going to happen at this point in my life. Sad, but true for me.

Breakdown (108,288) by BFF from United States
So I've gone from singing "Lead the Way" to pumping "Breakdown" in the span of three weeks. Mariah really knows how to sing/write a song about emotionally unavailable men. I was getting all of these signals from him for weeks and this week all of a sudden it's like I've been iced out. I'm all up in my feelings.

I agree. I swear Oprah thinks she's Jesus, and when gets a papercut, she goes like: "Stigmata." I don't trust her, she's very skinny now and very hungry. Mariah needs a different platform, Oprah might be plotting to get her on Ozempic.

I can't believe we've reached the day when we're ok if Mariah lip syncs as long as long she looks happy to be there. I personally don't mind even if she sits on a chaise lounge with a 90s boom box and just presses play and sips tea as long as she releases MC 16 this year.
