Here For It All one year later (114,496) by BFF from US Mariah waited too long to release a new album after "Caution" and hasn't been focused on creating new music for quite some time. There are songs that I like from "Here For It All" and "Caution", depending on my mood. After the "Caution" release, I think Mariah made a mistake in allowing her holiday music and concerts to overshadow her impressive non-holiday catalogue. And since COVID hit in 2020, she has been leaning into anniversary editions of her older albums and anniversary concerts. It probably makes her a good bit of money, but it has also put her in a major creative rut. The writing and production on "Here For It All" were pretty good, but the voice and her overall health really seemed to deteriorate after the end of "The Butterfly Returns" residency in early 2020. Here For It All one year later (114,491) by Randy from USA Still great. I'm pissed at the ageism in music. I think Nothing Is Impossible, In Your Feelings and I Won't Allow It could be hits to the masses. My Love has grown on me, although the Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa sounds silly and child band of the 70s to me. I still love this album more than Caution with its burdensome second half or the frosted garbage known as MIAMTEC. But when you have so many almost flawless albums Butterfly, Daydream, Rainbow, Memoirs, Music Box, and Mariah Carey, Here For It All is sort of middle of the pack. I think Mariah needs to relearn first single etiquette. Because after Oh Santa, I haven't agreed with any of the first singles. MIAMTEC had three. And all of them were boring in my opinion. YDKWTD would've been a winner. Caution should have had A No No first. Same video and paid Cardi and Lil Kim whatever they wanted to be involved. However, I do like GTFO and with the right trend on TikTok, I could see that going to #1. But Type Dangerous and Sugar Sweet were as boring as watching Martha Stewart tie knots at the end of an area rug. (Thursday 27 August 2026; 20:40)

Glitter anniversary - disc 2 predictions (114,490) by BFF from US Very interesting. I know Amanda Wilson from "Love On My Mind" in 2005 with the Freemasons. Not a pop hit but big on the dance charts. The "Everytime" recording doesn't sound like Wilson to me, but it was recorded much earlier than the songs she did with the Freemasons in 2005 so maybe it is her? Twister - alternate studio version? (114,486) by BFF from US This song is really resonating with me right now, as I'm in a really rough patch. It's always intrigued me that "Twister" plays near the end of movie but with an alternate lyric and alternate vocals. "Yeah, I'm feeling kind of fragile And I've got a lot to handle But I guess I've gotta keep it all inside..." It's a beautifully haunting song and featured a lot in the movie. Glitter anniversary - disc 2 predictions (114,481) by BFF from US The only reason why I hesitate about "The Flow" is that it is on the IMDB listing for the movie and doesn't have Mariah credited as a writer or performer. But I'd love to be wrong and get a version of the song with Mariah's vocals. I am confident we will receive at least two unreleased original compositions from writing sessions with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as well as earlier sessions with Stevie J. Because "Loverboy" was a planned single before the J. Lo sabotage, I also wonder if any earlier remixes were completed when the song was still based on the "Firecracker" sample. I'm interested to see what Mariah has planned for the movie's anniversary as well. It hasn't been on streaming for a while, and it would be cool to know more about how the project changed over the course of 1997 to 2001. The Mariah Report podcast did a series of deep dive episodes on Glitter in early 2019 with interesting insights into earlier versions of the script, and Kate Lanier gave an interview last year and mentioned regret over how studio interference impacted the final product. I understand now why MC wanted Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to help executive produce Glitter 25. MC needs their studio recording expertise to help make new songs shine on the album like The Flow. I predict that The Flow will have MC's vocals in her current voice and could possibly be the next single. MC would be able to really make the Gliiter 25 anniversary album have a major impact globally by having songs featuring Michael Jackson and Prince on the album. The Wedding Song, Yours ft. Justin Timberlake, and Reach For The Sky could possibly appear on the album as well. Finally, the October 30th release date was probably chosen to go along with her annual "It's time" video. There's a song called "I Know" listed on IMDB that was written by Damizza and Randy Jackson and listed as "Performed by Padma Lakshmi, Maria Montreano, and Trey Lorenz". I think this might be the song we [hear] in that scene when Dice meets with Timothy and Timothy is showing him "what all his money is buying him". Big Nasty sample song 7 through to 15 should be all new songs, but I suspect we’ll get the Loverboy and NTF/Hero remixes that were out at the time and a bunch of acapellas. If I set my expectations low I shouldn’t get too disappointed. A whole album worth of shelved songs and unheard material from the era is highly unlikely... but let’s see.
