Interesting, let me give it a try. Mariah Carey - If I have to pick one, it'd be You Need Me. Production-wise only though. I can't stand that guitar. Vocally it's a gem. Emotions - I can't decide. Don't make me choose. Music Box - Now That I Know Merry Christmas - Again vocally stunning, but I'd go with Jesus Born on this Day. Daydream - The interlude-Daydream mix thing. Butterfly - I love all of it tbh. Rainbow - Maybe TGIFY, even though Joe is one my faves too. I love the Make it Last remix though. Glitter - Want You. Expected more from a duet with Eric Benét. Charmbracelet - Boy TEOM - Your Girl E=MC2 - Last Kiss. Second half of the album has a lot of similar sounding songs on it. Very nice, but not exciting. MOAIA - Ribbon. Easily. MIAMTEC - Heavenly Caution - Probably Stay Long Love You. OK, that was pretty difficult for some of these albums.

So funny how our tastes are all so different. Rainbow is not flawless. Did I Do That is one hot mess, lol. I can't stand most of CB and Caution but I love Giving Me Life and Irresistible. Go figure.

I love Daydream. No surprise there. But for the longest time, I always skipped Long Ago and Melt Away. Say what? I know, shocking. Then I had the CD in an old player in my kitchen. (I like to play music while I clean. Who doesn't, lol?) I let the whole CD play including these songs of course and I realized these songs are amazing. Why did I ever skip them?

You hate "Long Ago"? I've always loved her vocals and feel it's her most R&Bish song in Daydream, other than "Melt Away". We may all be Mariah fans, but we really truly are quite diverse.
I hate almost all of Rainbow, maybe except Heartbreaker, hahaha.

Yes, Long Ago is a good one. I love how right at the end of the song as the fade out kicks in, she starts singing the first verse again. Great touch.

Throwback Thursday (90,020)
by RibbonB from USA

This song sung by this singer always makes me stop and shed a tear or two. What a classic, sung by Opera Adams [sic] and such command and control, with a full orchestra. Too bad Mimi and John Legend in Florence with orchestra was cancelled.

Yes "Long Ago" is an underrated gem. I still love it and listen a lot to it too. The way she sings it, so special and so Mariah. "Cause tonight I'm crumbling down Sinking in the memories Shadows of you keep washing over me" That part is so great.

The same accounts for the Flemish media. Not one article about the booty pictures yet the "cake story" received some attention. A storm in a glass of water.

I know a lot of you don't like JD, but they are airing an episode of a show called Hip Hop Documentary with him and So So Def on July 18th on WeTv. Mariah is on there so that's why I'm posting this here.

Caution looking pretty (90,010)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I was looking at Caution sitting on the shelf today looking pretty among other great R&B albums. The cover really stands out. It is really a classic album from MC. Her vocals and ad libs show that she is the queen of making sure every little vocal technique shines through on every song. I just feel like she was trying to go for that Alternative/Throwback R&B sound. And it worked for MC this time. We won't get MC16 until 2021. If Katy and Taylor can make-up, then surely Walter A. and MC can reunite for the return of those beautiful ballads from the 90s. It may happen. I am praying for it.

I love that cake story. And at least in Germany all, and I really mean all, online outlets wrote about it. But only one paper wrote about those leaked pictures from 2016. So we can all move on from this. Nobody cares about a bikini picture but everybody loves some cake.
