Amazing performance for 70.000 people, people said she was the highlight, everyone waited for her, Canada festival with almost the same amount of people. Icon Award. One of the best selling r&b albums, with over 400 millions streams. Top female artist. The millions records AIWFCIY broke is amazing as well, Mariah is too damn legendary Mariah has been making money this year, and repairing her image, she has gained like 3+ million followers since Stella left her on Instagram alone. New milestone - congrats Mariah (92,042) by John from USA Congrats Mariah, on being the first artist to have a number one in 4 decades. That said, I think most of the argument here on AIWFCIY being number one for a third week and whether that would be considered the first number one of 2020 stems from the confusion between the date of announcement of the upcoming/next chart results and the actual chart date. For instance: Last week for instance, it was announced on December 23, 2019 that AIWFCIY remained at number one for a second week, but it was actually for the chart date of December 28, 2019. Today, December 30, 2019, Billboard announced AIWFCIY is number one again for a third week, but the chart date is for January 4, 2020, effectively making it the first number one of the 2020 calendar year. At least, that's how I understood it. Anyways, congrats again Mariah, and the Lambily. Hope this inspires Mariah to make more timeless music in the future - not just for chart purposes, not just for the Lambs, but for the world at large. She was smart I capitalize on its anniversary in 2019. It was a mistake for her to try to crunch Caution in last year before the holiday rush to AIWFC. But now Mimi can move into her next project unless she wants to start a justice for Caution campaign. And by reliable reports AIW earns the writers 600k annually, each. That's a whole lot in any economy, especially one where music sales barely cover artists expenses and where continuous touring is needed for them to gain or retain wealth. That's rich coming from someone who didn't even read my message correctly or understand it and made a silly knee jerk response off the back of it. Allow me to break it down for you in bite size chunks. 1. Mariah has been in the industry for 30 years. 2. Mariah is 50 years old. 3. 30 years times 2 is 60 years. 4. 50 plus those 30 years is 80. Starting to make sense? If it isn't, concentrate more in mathematics. Mariah is unlikely to still be performing at her current rate at 80 years old (she has already slowed down in the last decade), and therefore it is safe to presume she is indeed in the second half of her career. Again, stating that is a fact and not an insult. Please do go back to my original post and point out where I wrote that being so is such a terrible thing. I'll help you out again with that one as you're struggling. I didn't do that. I was, in fact, paying her a compliment for so successfully riding the crest of the AIWFCIY wave and capitalizing on the song's unending popularity. At no point did I detract from any of her many achievements in the past decade. In future, before you start berating people here's two pieces of advice: be sure you've read and understood what the person has said to avoid making a complete idiot of yourself, and really make sure you knuckle down when you get back to school. I mean, really, he couldn't even get the original release year for "All I Want For Christmas Is You" right. I'm beyond excited for Mariah for having the best Christmas, ever, in 2019. Lambs, we stuck together and did it again. We gave Mariah another record of being the only artist to have a #1 in 4 different decades.
