I concur. Mariah did everything right this time.

Wait, seriously? Nothing for Daydream30? (111,886) by Bill from the UK
The European leg of that tour, especially London of which I attended, was sensational and needs to be released on audio or DVD, whatever they have. There were tripods set up at London to film sections and take photographs, and Rotterdam was filmed professionally but never released. Japan was literally the worst of all the dates as 1) she lipped a lot of it 2) the upper register was weak and airy and 3) her outfits for Europe were way better.

Wait, seriously? Nothing for Daydream30? (111,885) by Alexis Carrington-Colby from United States
What's left from the Daydream era?

1. If indeed the OSD video was the real making of the song, release the entirety of the footage. Same for the remix of ABMB.

2. We've never seen the full Steven Meisel photoshoot for the artwork. Release it.

3. It's clear that some of the European dates of the Daydream tour were filmed. Release it - even if it's just select performances

4. Where is the acapella release that the other albums got? I want to hear a "sweet acapella" of I Am Free, when I Saw You, and especially the album version of Fantasy.

5. I would like to hear a merger and sequence of Daydream and Ugly Daughter. I want to hear the songs she worked on in the day and then the secret grunge she did at night. A cute title like "Twilight Daydreams" would be cute.

6. There is all kinds of merch that could be released.

Why was the second disc a Daydream live tour? It could've been literally anything, it could've been the live Charmbracelet tour. But it was 2020 which was the 25th anniversary of Daydream. Maybe if she held off on including that disc then you would get it this year on the 30th. Maybe there's nothing worthwhile left from Daydream.

Hostage release Nothing Is Impossible (111,881) by MusicfanJ from Germany
The video shouldn't be used for international politics. Not for any side of the crisis spot (with religion and horror). It doesn't suit. It's a personal Mariah song and should show Mariah or like in the "Trough the Rain" video some actors with a nice little story about a part of her life.

Is HFIA her ILTY? (111,880) by Will from England
Dropped three singles that had a variety of success on different charts, 1 quality video, did a healthy and packed promo run of radio and a variety podcast interviews both in US and UK, some TV appearances of varying quality, 1 stunning magazine cover, a few awards picked up along the way (1 of which for the current project), performed at some high profile festivals and concerts at various locations across the globe (Sandringham had the huge QR code for everyone to scan to save the album on Spotify) on the lead up which resulted in mostly positive press, more TV appearances, in-person album signings for the fans, new merch in support of the album, a few variants of the album available for purchase, a solid roll out of the album (right from the teaser to the album title and art reveal) on social media, live snippets recorded and posted on social media in the week leading up to launch. All of which resulted in positive album reviews and a decent placements on various BB album charts. I think she did enough.

Here For It All (111,877) by jaker20 from US
There is more to those numbers. The album did drop to 187 on Hot 200, but on sales it's still in the top 10. This really goes to show how messed up and useless the charts currently are. It leans way too heavily towards streaming, which doesn't really benefit most artists' pocketbooks.

The keyword here is "sell". The charts are obscuring these details with "album equivalent units", because in reality, no one "sells" to profitability anymore in the same level that it used to, and that's a bad look for the industry.

So when someone says: "Mariah didn't even sell as much as Doja Cat", that need to correction. Mariah did actually "sell" more than Doja Cat, in the US and certainly globally. The charts just obscures it.

Equivalent sales unit will never equal sales, however the industry tries to convince us that it is. And as such, it will always be rigged against legacy artists.

Close My Eyes 2020 was not good. Somewhat Loved was brilliant and a great vocal. I wish it had been promoted.

I think there's another key element, Mariah's voice, specifically the belting. When you hear names like Mariah or Whitney, you instantly think of powerhouse vocals. Up until MIAM, we still got a taste of that from her. I really think Mariah should bring back some belting, at least on a few tracks, even if she never performs them live. That's something the general public truly misses from her. Just my humble opinion. There are plenty of songs on E=MC² where she belted, and most of them were never performed live anyway.

I hope she learned her lesson. I've said it a million times, seven years is way too long for a current artist, and for a legacy artist, it's basically career suicide. The thing is, since "Caution", the only decent thing she's put out is the acoustic version of "Close My Eyes". Everything else, including "Falling in Love at Christmas", has been pretty meh. "Save the Day" was another letdown. "HFIA" proved that when she really puts in the effort, she can still deliver something amazing.

Wow. Caution had the same downward fall on the Billboard 200. My new friend says that downward fall is typical of independent album releases. There is only one explanation to go back to. HFIA didn't have a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 100 at the time of its release. I keep going back to this point. At least one JD or Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis song would have sat nicely on the album for a hit Hot 100 song.

Is HFIA her ILTY? (111,869) by Alexis Carrington-Colby from United States
Is Here for It All to Mariah what I Look to You was to Whitney? It was agreed upon by her fans that Whitney didn't need to tour with that album, but what else could've been done to promote it? Similarly, I don't think Mariah is in the space nor has the interest to tour, so what should her PR strategy for the album be?

Bedtime stories is Madonna's best album and it has been neglected by her they way Mariah neglects Daydream and Emotions.

Wait, seriously? Nothing for Daydream30? (111,866) by Alexis Carrington-Colby from United States
As the biggest Daydream-era stan, it is shameful that Mariah gave a half-hearted "happy anniversary Daydream" repost and that's it for the landmark album. Music Box, Merry Christmas, Butterfly, Ones, Rainbow, and Mimi all got deluxe/special releases. Hell, even MIAM, Memoirs, and E=MC2 got Amazon special releases.

It's obvious she hates the Emotions album so I'm never surprised when it is paid dust. But Madame Daydream? She is quick to remind people of the hits from the album, she is quick to praise UTS, she is quick to accept the praise for the groundbreaking Fantasy remix, she is quick to tell you she directed 2 videos this era.

I've long suspected, and she said it once, that Daydream is bittersweet for her but to ignore it like this is disrespectful to the fans.
