Before I let go (89,364) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I appreciate Beyoncé for covering a classic but the original will always be superior in my opinion. Robert-Anthony why should MC all of sudden change her sound to fit a mode than she will be criticized for following a trend and trying to current. At this point she at an age where she does not appeal to average top 40 audience which is considered 18-34 so radio would give her a hard time either way. On top of that she made an album that sounds current but it is still classic MC as it should be. I am glad she sticks making music that she loves because she has already broken so many chart records that many pop stars today can only wish they see 1/3 of her success. Also if MC wanted to make a trap pop album she definitely could but she loves R&B or the contemporary R&B sounds so she stays in that lane.

I love that remix but I love the album version more.

Re: Angels Cry (89,357) (89,362) by B from USA
I prefer the Angel The Prelude to Angels Cry. It's hauntingly beautiful.

Re: (89,358) (89,361) by B from USA
Mariah doesn't and never has had a "street diva" persona. Why are you mad at her for working with the best producers in the game at the moment? By the way, Giving Me Life features a guitar solo.

Re: (89,358) (89,360) by Dove from United States
I'd love a jazz album or an album of standards or a stripped album with mostly piano guitar and vocals as much as the next guy but I don't mind her working with younger people. I feel like the fun and innovation is with the younger people and she's gotta keep it fresh. The standards, stripped, or jazz album has to be a side project IMO.

What do you mean, I thought this was her Thriller album. Geez. So fairweathered. That's a no no.

And my favorite part of this is she'll be 52 at the next album. So will she still be working with 25 year old rappers and producers or will it be enough already with trying to hold onto this "street diva" persona and we finally get a jazz album or an album of standards or a stripped album with mostly piano guitar and vocals?

Angels Cry (89,357) by Jeff from USA
Such an underrated gem. But can we talk about the prelude? I'm not sure if I even believe in angels, but that made me want to believe.

Next single (89,356) by Jeff from USA
I'm not holding my breath, but I would love to see Caution and 8th Grade released as singles. I think, unfortunately, that all but the Lambily have moved on.

And obviously I Still Believe (Pure Imagination Remix) eclipses the album version.

Re: Collaborations (89,338) (89,353) by B from USA
I've been begging for Mariah to collaborate with Bruno Mars since I heard When I Was Your Man. Maybe The Stereotypes can make it happen since they've worked with Mariah and Bruno.

Re: "Remixes" that are better than the original (89,342) (89,350) by B from USA
The Thank God I Found You (Make It Last Remix) ft. Joe and Nas is better than the original. I wouldn't go as far as saying the My All/Stay Awhile Remix is better than the original but it's just as good in my opinion as is the Classic Club Mix.

Agreed. The Mo' Thugs Remix of Breakdown and the Mobb Deep Extended Version Remix of The Roof take both songs to another level. I mean, come on as Mariah would say. Both songs are enhanced by having hip-hop legends Bone Thugs and Harmony and Mobb Deep on them.

Re: Groan (89,334) (89,349) by enwar00 from usa
Really B, if Medellin was Mariah's new single you would be defending it to others saying it's way too early to call it a flop. A flop by what standards, Mariah's? Because the Medellin video is trending and in only 2 days has more views than either GTFO, With You or A No No. The frickin audio of it on YouTube even has more views. Madonna's last album was the only one that didn't at least go gold, and I'm sure the huge leak really hurt that project. Even still in just its first week it basically sold more than MIAMTEC or Caution have in total. Do you consider Caution and its singles and MIAMTEC all bigger flops then? Idk I just hate that term, so overused and negative. Let's just enjoy all the music. I think I'll go create a Mariah and Madonna flop playlist now.

Re: Next single from Caution or is this era over? (89,341) (89,347) by Dove from United States
I said Giving My Life in my last post but I changed my mind to One 'Mo Gen. It's the one I think fits best on top 40 stations.

B. I just meant that I'm suprised that Madonna gets 3 million for a TV gig. And yes I don't know much about her, because I never cared for her and her music.

MC's Caution is so boring right now to me (89,343) by Bobby A from United States
Beyonce's cover Maze's Before I Let Go is just pure brilliance. I wish MC would make smart creative original and cover song choices like this to get people talking and radio playing her again. Caution was good but haven't we heard those same type of songs on TEOM, E=MC2, MOIA, and MAIM before? I just don't see her ever being played on radio again if she continues this trend of not being in a brilliant creative mindset to make music that fun and radio friendly.

"Remixes" that are better than the original (89,342) by Randy from USA
I love Angel's Cry with Neyo. I love that you are all giving it some love. I started to think of some of the remixes that I love more than the original versions. Up Out My Face with Nikki. Fantasy with ODB but with the pop chorus in between. The Someday video version more than the album version. Obsessed with Gucci Mane. Breakdown and The Roof rap versions.

Next single from Caution or is this era over? (89,341) by Sheila from United States
Caution should be next. If there is a next single.

Just popped in to say hello to all the fans out there. It's been quiet in Mariah land lately but big things are on their way with the Billboard Music Awards this week. Huge moment and I hope everything is as spectacular as it ought to be. Can't wait for Mariah's looks, the performance, the acceptance speech and all. Hope for another glorious moment just like the one back in 1999 when she accepted the Artist of the Decade award. Oh my. It's been 20 years. And counting.
