Original title for Somewhat Loved? (99,449) by Bobby A from United States I am looking back at a news article from MCA on 08-10-13 titled Tracklist Revealed for Mariah's new album. Track 5 is The Dream collaboration called Hope Street. I think that it must have been the original title of Somewhat Loved. It's funny that we all have forgotten Somewhat Loved. It's sad that thirty years into her career the available greatest hits set focuses only on her first decade. I would love an elaborate retrospective but we ain't getting that. More collaboration needed (99,447) by Bobby A from United States When I look at the songwriters on the first two singles from Mary J. Blige's new album, I can only hope MC is looking at H.E.R., D'mile, DJ Khaled, Lucky Daye, Denisia Andrews, and Brittney Coney. MC is going to have to shake it up some on MC16 if she is going to even expect some airplay. MJB is going to own February with her new album and her Superbowl performance. Everyone, fans and critics alike, rated it as a really concise, tight, clever album that actually presented her correctly in terms of vocals. MIAM before it was like a Frankenstein album, pitched up and spliced and auto tuned and manufactured to the point that it didn't even sound like Mariah anymore. Caution was a really moody, somewhat dark album that I loved. Giving Me Life, The Distance, Stay Long Love You etc. The only misstep for me was GTFO. Whilst sonically I loved it, lyrically it was the worst thing she ever did. Even Crapfinity was better. Wait, no it wasn't. My playlist has the instrumental of it, and adds I Don't and Unforgettable, which actually go really well alongside the other tracks. (Sunday 16 January 2022; 16:08)

Caution (99,442) by Bobby A from United States Caution to me always felt like that album unlike any other MC album. It had a messy rollout, wrong single choices and she bashed it a year later during interviews. It should only have been released in Japan like Monica did All Eyez On Me in 2002. Weight loss (99,431) by Bobby A from United States Am correct that MC showed major weight loss in 2008 and 2013? I know 2008 was her fittest time since 1990. I think that she used a trainer in 2008 compared to 2013. Her voice was in the best shape since the Charmbracelet era. But GMA performance premature backing track embarrassed MC and the buying public noticed that she was no longer the Voice. (Saturday 15 January 2022; 01:01)

How Greatest Hits should've played out (99,430) by T from USA I know that GH became a big seller for Mariah but it also ate away at her catalog sales and #1s album at the time. Instead I wish Sony just updated #1's with the two tracks in 2001. Then Greatest Hits could've come out as a joint project between Sony/Universal in 2015 with a three disc set. 45 songs. Obviously, #1's could have once again been reissued in 2021 (twenty years later) to include AIWFCIY. Leaving the same classic cover in place. That's how I wish it played out. Why not discuss all of the lucrative deals and financial power the song has managed to give an artist 30 years into their career. Not everyone has that. The song is an anomaly and has grown bigger than Mariah herself. The fact that each year it gets bigger and bigger should be looked into. Not the obvious chart performance after the season. It's one thing to be contradictory of ones own points - that is often the case with people who "comment" (not report, because the "author" of this piece o' something, is not a reporter) on MC articles. But to describe Eric Clapton's tribute to child as a "dead-kid lullaby", tells me that not only are you heartless, but will likely never know what it means to beget a child into this world, because if you did, you would never describe someone's loss in a manner so disrespectfully inhumane.
