Re: Why [...] mad? (71,165) (71,177) by Edward from USA
Marissa, that has been my point exactly. If you don't like a messageboard where people express opinions that make you slowly boil yourself slowing in water to death by reading them, it is insane to stay around (all caps). As simple as that. I'm not telling anybody to go away, I've always said that the beauty of this board is the rainbow of opinions with different and sometimes extreme insights. It's like reading the posts of a person whose opinions you despise, why torturing yourself by doing so? We all have different opinions, and many of us have disagreed on specific subjects here and there, but for me it hasn't ever been personal. You said something very, very important, and it's the context in which these opinions are being conveyed. I don't understand how people don't see that Stella is toxic to Mariah. She's not only her manager, but now she's her publicist. The woman can't seem to have a switch to turn her foul mouth off. I'm pretty sure that if Mariah were to start saying crazy things on a mike, Stella wouldn't ever take the mike off her hand like Cindi Berger did back then, and that worries me. That's the difference between somebody who's professional and knows what she's doing, and somebody with a thug attitude pretending to be an Alpha female, whatever that means, who doesn't know the repercussions that her loud comments could have for her client. But oh well, there's saying in Spanish that reads: "El que por su gusto muere, que la muerte le sepa gloria." "He who by his own pleasures dies, may death taste like glory to him." She loves Stella that much, she should deal with the consequences of her actions not with tears and stress, but with joy and enthusiasm.

Re: Kelly Price (71,170) (71,176) by Joe from United Kingdom
I don't think there's much chance of this happening. I think Kelly made an issue about a deterioration in MC's voice a few years ago. We know when Mariah cuts you off, there's no coming back.

Suing FEC (71,175) by Licia from USA
As another poster asked on this subject (sorry I forgot who asked) why did team Mariah wait until a day or two before the concerts were to start to pull out? Seems like they had a plan for payment and it was to be paid way before and it seems like they had more than enough time to cancel. It's baffling to me as to why they waited. Now once again Mariah is in a position where her name and brand are being drug through the mud all because her team didn't do their job.

I could swear I saw Molly in the last part of the MW episode that I caught. But anyway, that was such a dumb aspect of the show.

The Weeknd and Selena Gomez? (71,173) by RibbonB from USA
What a random couple if this is true, or are they just working on new music? Hollyweird. I am ready for some real, good R&B music from someone. The ones who are getting the limelight do not represent the best there is in R&B these days. It's quite sad. Even Miguel has promise, but I don't believe he is the best. His new project with Raphael Saadiq might be promising though. Having a good musician with good technological acumen working beside you is a good thing.

New Stella quotes about Tommy (71,172) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
1) "How dare he? Whose career has he managed in 15 years? He couldn't walk a day in our shoes. We work our asses off. I wear bigger heels than his b---s."
2) "Since I started working with her, Mariah has had nothing but unbridled success." (Stella look up the meaning of unbridled, while you're at it, look up the meaning of success.)
3) "Her career has not taken a hit. Everything that she has touched since I started managing her has been a huge success." Yes before you Mariah Carey was a struggling artist, trying to make her mark, you made her relevant, that's what Zarina said at least.
I can't deal with how immature and unprofessional this woman is. Taking a major international music royalty and cheapening her image and then when everyone else has moved on from this NYE disaster, she stays complaining about it. How butt hurt are you about Tommy's words that you are releasing statements to multiple publications? Why is it that you only speak up when you or your kids are being attacked but never do anything to take the heat off Mariah? Selfish.

Beauty and the Beast (71,171) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ugh so I have been wishing ever since the new "Beauty and the Beast" live action movie was announced that Mariah would do the theme song for it. But now supposedly Ariana and John Legend will do it. Stella obviously can never book her for these high profile things. It would have been so great if Mariah and John Legend sang it.

Kelly Price (71,170) by Terna from Nigeria
You know how Mariah works with Crystle sometimes, well I was wondering if she's considered collaborating with Kelly songwriting wise (just for old times sake). Kelly penned K. Michelle's "Not a Little bit" from last year and it's easily one of the strongest R&B records 2016 had to offer and that vocal just wow. Jazzmine Sullivan too would be a good choice too. I love her melodies, lyrical phrasing and delivery, quite unique. I would love to see what they come up with.

I can bet anything, it relates to MC's "I don't know her" quotes. I'm sure it was a fan of JLo, Demi, or Ariana. It's all good. MC will always be worth more and has sold more than all three combined. The real crime, cost of $1,500.00 to clean up a "?" I could've done for $1,398.50

The Superbowl halftimes are lipped anyway most of the times, so it wouldn't factor much.

Re: Camouflage or Close My Eyes (71,151) (71,153) (71,167) by Philipp from Switzerland
it's tough to say which song I like better. I like both songs, because they are very personal. I really love the live version of "Close My Eyes" at the Rosie O Donnel Show. She sings it so emotional and you can really tell how she is feeling the lyrics. Especially the bridge is amazing. The album version on the other hand is more "quiet".

Jazmine Sullivan, Darryl Camper, MC collaboration (71,166) by Bobby A from United States
Darryl "Hey DJ" Camper just retweeted my tweet about him being in the studio with Mariah Carey and Jazmine Sullivan. It must be true. Go checkout his twitter page. No joke. I can't wait to hear their song.

Re: Why [...] mad? (71,143) (71,165) by Marissa from USA
What I don't understand is why people who have heard and witnessed how "negative" this board is keep coming back for more? What is the payoff if you hate almost every post here? I can understand having an issue with 1 or 2 people's harshness on here, but almost everyone? You're torturing yourself. "Positive" lambs always make it seem like Mariah just won a Grammy last night, an Oscar the day before that, and has a #1 album on the charts and we're still here complaining despite how great things are going. They never provide context to anyone's "negativity" and make it seem like everyone just woke up mad at Mariah instead of seeing it as a reaction to something specific happening in her life or career. As of now, Mariah's ability to sing is being questioned or completely rejected worldwide, many people are excited that she failed because they think she has a bad attitude anyway and needed to be humbled, they think that the DCP foiled/sabotage comments are her lying and making up excuses, people are calling her old and irrelevant, etc. This isn't exactly a sunshine and rainbows type of time, so why you're shocked by negative comments is beyond me. At some point people are going to understand that the influx of "negative" lambs is not random, but because Mariah's career has been very hit and miss for at least the past 7 years. What I find hilarious is that when the NYE debacle happened, almost all of the people who fled the board because it was too "negative" reappeared. Why? Because, negative or positive, this board represents stability for people. It's been around for decades for a reason no matter how often people shit on it, because Eric allows us to be human and express both negative and positive emotions on here.

Close My Eyes. I love this song so much (from the first time I heard in 97). This song has everything, it's pure and the lyrics are one of her best. It's so magical, I always can calm down and start the imaginary journey.

Wow, that could be the only good thing to come out of the whole debacle. Trust and believe she made a tsunami of new fans already. Lol. Once again, Mariah stays winning. When will they ever learn? It truly is Mariah's world.

Re: Why [...] mad? (71,150) (71,158) by Terna from Nigeria
Your suggestion would mean letting the negativity thrive on the message board of a website dedicated to only (all caps) Mariah Carey. This isn't Ukmix nor a general forum for just anyone to come spew rubbish. This is a Mariah message board and as such there should be a certain level of respect towards her even when offering your "opinions" seeing that you're here because you identify (one would want to believe) as a fan of hers, because let's face it we're all on the outside looking in on her life and career. It's all speculation. So there's a problem when certain folk come on here with their "constructive criticism" which is borderline insultive, degrading and just straight up hating (no one is fooled when you see a blatant hate message you know) , all the while tagged as a "strong opinion". Smh.

Here we go again (71,157) by Lila from United States
Lord have mercy on our souls already, please. What have we done to constantly have to deal with Stella's big mouth? She's done an interview with In Touch Weekly sounding a hot ass mess, once again "defending" herself against Tommy's words, once again trying to make him out to be some relic, and claiming that since she's managed Mariah, Mariah has experienced nothing but unbridled success. Not only is she an idiot, she's blind. Hit dogs holler but this idiot needs to be muzzled already. Everyone has already moved on from NYE and those that aren't are at least trying so hard but Mariah and Stella are the ones that won't let it die. All this extra and unnecessary foolishness with the interviews and voicemail and Anthony being "fired" is just annoying.

Lady Gaga Superbowl Mariah Carey (71,155) by T from USA
I just had a thought, if there's any other singer out there who has shown so much respect (going to her shows, tweeting her and complimenting her so many times) it's Lady Gaga. Wouldn't it be wild if Lady Gaga feels just as bad for Mariah as we all do and offers her thirty seconds of her twelve minute set at the halftime show to prove to the world that she still has it. There's a rumor that Beyonce might do Telephone with her. Wouldn't it be the best if Mariah appears from a trap door through the stage and nails Emotions?

Close My Eyes. The imagery in the lyrics is beautiful. It's haunting, soft, hopeful, poignant. Great underrated gem from the back catalogue and what made Butterfly one of her best albums.
