Word on the curb is.... (91,982) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Word on the curb is Mariah will once again be in the music history books once the Hot 100 chart of the week is revealed. She will once again take the #1 spot and become the first artist in history to have a number 1 single in four different decades, as well as 82 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart the most for any artist ever. Congratulations to Mariah, as well as, all of us who have supported our queen throughout her amazing career. Here is to more greatness, and record breaking moments in 2020. Blessings to all, and all the best in the year ahead, and beyond.

15th Anniversary of The Emancipation Of Mimi (91,980) by Bobby A from United States
It hard to believe that it will be 15 years since TEOM was released. In my opinion, I believe the way L.A. Reid guided MC with the recording and roll-out of TEOM was extraordinary. Her next album should have the same roll-out. I really feel she should revisit the musical elements that gave TEOM such a party album feel with candid and witty lyrics. The live instrumentation gave the album such a organic feel. I hope she records again with Scott Storch and James Poyser. I would love for Darryl "DJ" Camper and Jasmine Sullivan to write four songs with MC. Pharrell would add a special touch with his recognizable beats and melody. 2020 will be the year for new albums and Mariah should work hard to deliver TEOM Revisted.

Re: Is AIWFCIY the 2010-2019 song of the decade? (91,949) (91,979) by Musti from UK
That would be epic. But I wouldn't be surprised if BB disqualifies it from that list, solely because it's a Christmas song. But who knows. If there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that BB loves Mariah. Whenever her name comes up, they can't resist listing out her extensive achievements on all their charts. I hope I wouldn't be going to far in saying that M is one of the few artists whose achievements have given BB the credibility it has today. She's one of its biggest leaders.

Jason (91,978) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
According to chart data Mariah set the record with 12 million streams of All I Want For Christmas is You for the most streams for one song in a 24 hour period.

Most streamed song in 24 hours. Ariana or Mariah? (91,977) by Jason from US
Anyone here can confirm who has the most streamed song in 24 hours? Ariana or Mariah? Scooter Braun. Official numbers are now in. Ariana Grande's 7 Rings now has the Spotify all time record for most streamed song within its first 24 hours with 14,966,544 streams, 4 million more than the former record holder. History is being made. Congrats to the team and Ariana Grande. Bravo.

Re: Mariah, Celine and Toni for 2020 (91,970) (91,976) by Edward from USA
Sales and streaming are measured from Friday to Thursday, she released the new video on Friday 20, so she almost has a full week of streaming and sales, including the most critical days: December 24 and 25. Her new video alone, as of now, has accumulated 25 million views during that period, which is impressive. Sadly, airplay is measured from Monday to Sunday, which means she'll only benefit from 3 full good days of airplay, including those two critical days. Since the strength of "AIWFCIY" lies on streaming, there a huge possibility she might remain at #1.

Boxing Day streaming day (91,974) by T from USA
It is slightly behind in the UK at #2. This is it's big chance getting her a third number one. It really is now or never, as she's thrown everything at the wall. As well as a third week in the USA. Things will fall big time tomorrow so I do think we the lambs need a streaming day on December 26th. It could make all the difference. Don't quit now. One more massive streaming effort.

We're not in the 90's anymore. That would be an interesting collaboration but it won't be a #1 song.

Licia, this is my last post too. Wendy has come after Mariah is horrible ways, called her a crazy women, lied that Mariah doesn't write her music and disrespected Mariah in every way. I can't believe you comparing the both.

The fact that all those people disagree with you on the comments says a lot and the fact that thousands of people watched and retweeted and liked that comment says even more and it's 90% young people.

No shade but the world is getting worse and better, so many young people are doing so many great things, their [sic] are more activists today than ever before. You guys see us as dumb children while we [sic] making moves in the Congress. Hey aoc. And in the world. Hey Greta.

One last last post about Walter (I promise webmaster), they have worked together on some beautiful songs, some of my favourite songs. He may be a great producer but I don't think he holds a candle to Mariah's genius. Here is a video of Mariah and Walter talking about how their collaboration works. Mariah has always said she is a terrible piano player but she has great ears and that helps more than you know.

I just read his article and Mariah may not always tell us everything but I don't believe she is a liar. And for her to delete a human from her life like that says a lot, she even forgave and laughed with him on Twitter a few weeks ago. I hope this fuels Mariah to be 100% honest about their situation and what he did. He is not badmouthing her but he is taking way too much credit. I know Mariah will be transparent or she wouldn't do the memoir. Remember no deal is made without her saying. I believe it's gonna be explosive. And her amazing team gives me hope.

I'm not sure. Mariah and Whitney didn't get that number one, even if the song was really beautiful. I'm just wondering if she will keep the number one spot in the first week of 2020. What do you guys think?

Re: Ellen and Mariah (91,966) (91,969) by Edward from USA
Seriously, Hellen likes Mariah, Mariah loves Hellen. They have great chemistry and they're very playful on interviews enjoying themselves. I've never seen Mariah acting uncomfortable around Hellen, ever. Hellen is a comedian, some people need to chill. Mariah is from New York, and here people don't play, she knows how to check someone, believe me. It irritates me these over sensitive people, mostly, guys, who are always looking for the fifth leg on an effing cat when its obvious it only has four. Always looking for a conspiracy on how people are shading or doing Mariah wrong as if she were a 50-year old woman who has been locked in a castle isolated from the rest of the world since she was 5. Next they'll say Mariah has her twins through immaculate conception. It's effing ridiculus. Merry Christmas everybody.

Re: 2020 (91,967) (91,968) by Bobby A from United States
I believe she has gotten the message. I expect a much different Mariah on her next album with more high profile collaborators. We have been wanting a Beyonce, Drake, Bruno Mars, or Ariana collaboration, but the time wasn't right until now. 2019 ended on a high note for Mimi. She has to keep the momentum going with new music that takes us back to 1995 Mariah. I am already excited for 2020.

2020 (91,967) by We are Lambily from USA
This year has definitely made more people like Mariah, she may be the industry biggest hitmaker and the most successful female singer songwriter producer of all time. Everyone may know her but the general people ain't checking for her like they used to. It's time to collaborate with artists the public loves. I agree that Mariah should drop a uptempo.

I really hope Mariah puts her musical integrity on hold and guns down the Beatles. She is the only artist that could do that. A song with Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Drake, The Weekend, a soaring ballad with Sam smith. She needs a collaboration album that will get her #1 album and a few #1s

Re: Ellen and Mariah (91,946) (91,966) by Licia from USA
This is my last post on this topic, but riddle me this. If Mariah was so uncomfortable why has she been back on Ellen's show several times since this particular incident? It would seem if she was that bothered she'd never go back on Ellen like she's never been to Wendy Williams's show and I believe all they ever did was a radio interview. Mariah is notorious for staying away from things and people that make her uncomfortable or cause her pain. It seems silly to me for her to continuously go back to a show that supposedly hurt her so bad. *waits for the next excuse*

Daydream 4.0 (91,964) by Lainsky from Philippines
Regardless whether Mariah will continue to be No.1 for the 3rd week or not, she and her team have to continue this seasonal momentum. Since 2020 will be her 30th anniversary year in the music industry as a total artist, I believe she has to go back and revisit once again her old sound where she became really famous globally. I hope and pray Mariah would release a "Daydream 4.0" album version in terms of sound, melody, lyrics, etc. In other words, a really pop album with a R&B flavor. I want another Fantasy (with remix later on), a pop ballad that many can relate to like OSD, a pop/R&B single like ABMB, another classic cover like Open Arms, and heartwarming R&B/pop like Looking In. I am pretty sure I am not the only lamb who misses her old sound. It would be interesting to listen now in her current voice. Merry Christmas to all.

Mariah, Celine and Toni for 2020 (91,963) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Just get those three divas to collaborate for a song in 2020 and that song will rise to No 1 in no time. The song needs to be an uptempo song with powerful vocals and catchy chorus. Just like Bang Bang. Imagine three fanbase of each divas assembled together streaming and buying the song. The song will become Mariah's 20th, Celine's 5th and Toni's 3rd No. 1.

What Mariah has lacked in Grammy recognition, she continues to more than make up for in commercial and critical success elsewhere. Sounds like a bigger win to me. You can't lug your Grammys everywhere, but can have hits and one hell of a classic holiday standard that follows you anywhere.

Mariah against the music (91,960) by T from USA
Remember in 2003 when Madonna teamed up Britney and it gave her career a little jolt? Actually a big jolt because her next studio album was the very successful COADF. I wonder if Mariah duetting with Ariana would possibly be this generations version leading one one last successful mega selling album by MC? Just a thought.

The Ellen thing (91,959) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Regardless of what you think and how you feel about Ellen or how you view her interactions with Mariah (I'm personally neutral because I don't think she has had any significant impact in Mariah's career whatsoever, or even her life, really), I'll say this - Ellen has always employed shameless pressure tactics on her guests, putting them on the spot many times, basically risking any personal relationship with them just to make her show funnier or more interesting. At times, it has been fun, mostly because the guests were great sports, but most times, it would get more awkward than she probably intended it to be.

I mean we are talking about the same woman who hijacked Nick Jonas' plan to announce his upcoming stint on The Voice on social media accounts for his fans first, the one who gave J.Lo a clock with her and A.Rod's faces to tell them time's-a-ticking to jokingly pressure them into an engagement (which they did soon after) and did the same thing to Blake Shelton to remind him of his 4-year relationship with Gwen. And those all happened within the last 6 months alone. It's basically the woman's MO regardless of what the situation may be. She's still on the air, so I guess it's still working for her.

On a more festive note, happy Christmas, y'all. Despite all the disagreements, we are still a big dysfunctional family that I wish I knew how to quit. I appreciate all of you in different ways.

Grammys (91,958) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
To be real the Grammys are a political contest for the music industry. I am not surprised by their treatment of Mariah even during her heights of the 90's she was barely recognized. Even when she defied the odds of the greatest comeback in pop music to date she won but none of her categories were televised. A year later when MJB won the Grammy award for Best Female R&B performance the category was televised which tells me the Grammy committee has never been in Mariah's corner. But that does not take away from the great music that she has blessed the world with.
