Low notes at the beginning of "You're So Cold". Damn.

Easy. The left one cost 90 million. And the right one cost 110 million. Because it's slightly bigger.

Was her net worth ever that high? I have only read about 300 million so far. Not sure if this includes real estate and her catalogue.

Re: Net worth (93,369) (93,370) by Edward from USA
Don't believe everything you read online. According to Mariah's prenup when she married Nick, she was worth 150 millions. These magazines and websites keep pulling numbers out of their ass.

Net worth (93,369) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
How has Mariah's net worth gone from 520 millions to 320 millions in two years? Is her life that extravagant? Will Mariah go bankrupt in a couple of years?

Article: Mariah Carey - Breakdown (93,368) by Lainsky from Philippines
When this song was released in 1998 I was hoping Mariah to score another No.1 after "Butterfly" became disqualified to chart due to its new rules back then. Only to be disappointed again when released "Breakdown" like Butterfly, just for airplay and not as a commercial single. I believe it is one of her best work that needs to be given justice too like Glitter. It was ahead of time anyway and when I listen to it, it sounds so modern and fresh. Hope they would also make a move for #JusticeForBreakdown.

So, listening to Mahalia and Ella Mai's song, "What You Did", and Ella Mai's low notes are making me crave MC's low notes. Is anyone else a fan of the low notes?

Yes, you're an SJW - seriously the biggest threat to humanity this generation has and will every face. Try to find meaning in your life, other than siphoning off energy from other people by finding something to make you feel important and good about yourself. You find heroism by seeing victims when there aren't. You are a spoiled brat without a real cause. Please find something more meaningful in your life and not infect ours.

Re: I never thought (93,354) (93,359) by Lighty from China
Oh, you're calling me an SJW, but am I? If someone shout to you face something like "**** USA", what would you say? I've been a frequent visitor to MCArchives since the early 00s and I read the comments on this messageboard every now and then but I just rarely talk, because my English is not very good. I enjoy so much reading you guys' comments here, even Andrew's, because sometimes I find his opinions, as direct as they are, honest and truthful. But not this time. This time, he's just being mean, as he always is.

This should be my last time posting here, and I still hope you guys all safe and sound, including Andrew. One of my friends' sister, who's a nurse, went to one of the hospitals in the most infectious province to support, and she got infected too (recovering now, God bless). So please stay at home, wash hands, and wear masks.

Re: Correct, you didn't think (93,355) (93,358) by Lighty from China
I used the term "appear" because, first of all, China didn't intentionally create that virus and then whether it's caused by China or not is still hung in doubt. You may wanna watch this video where this Italian doctor stating that symptoms of the coronavirus were reported back in December or as early as November in Italy where in China the first report was in late December. I'm not trying to find an excuse, and yes, our local government tried to hide the fact (but failed at last) and it caused thousands of deaths in China, and the whole nation is blaming them, too. I just hope you could read more information before making a final conclusion. And if you still stick to your opinion, then fine. I never said anything nasty to you so I'm really disappointed that you need to directly say something like "**** you" to me. If that's a common western manner, I get it.

I didn't read that message so I take back those words. The other things I wrote, not so much. Time to get real people. This is a fan board indeed, but I think most people don't quite realize what we are facing.

The reality of it all: I have a friend who suffers from cancer (she isn't infected) and she will leave for the hospital today. She is in her last days. Thanks to Corona nobody will be aloud [sic] to visit her, and she will spend her last hours surrounded by complete strangers. Furthermore no decent funeral service will be possible because the current pandemic does not allow it. She will be silently buried as a child's pet goldfish. That is the effect on the world: innocent people who are ripped of basic human rights.

No racism but a lot of anger because certain people have acted without any sense of responsibility or respect to others.

Re: Correct, you didn't think (93,355) (93,356) by Aliya from Canada
I think the solution should involve rules and regulations for what animals are safe to eat and which are not. A proper infectious disease list that allows people to eat animals that we know for sure do not carry viruses. These rules should be implemented worldwide. And if they are not followed, there should be serious consequences, such as jail time and fines. But yes, it is true that in China, many people have a culture where they eat animals that are odder than normal. And from this, I hope people who follow this type of culture understand the consequences of it, like the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic that is happening right now.

Re: Correct, you didn't think (93,347) (93,355) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
"The fact that the virus first appeared in China is indeed, a fact. I never denied that."

The virus did not just "appear" in China, it was *caused* by China and the true situation *covered up* by China at a time when assistance to limit the spread could have been given.

"'But one thing is for sure: we should ban all flights from that country forever. And not trade one single grain of rice with them. Forever.' is what I consider the part that's racist."

I am sorry that not wanting to continue to import avoidable mass-killing viruses from your country offends your moral sensibilities. But I would rather that we were not all on lockdown with people dropping dead left, right and centre.

"If the first infected patient is a black person, and you say something like 'we should ban all flights from taking black passengers', you know what you'll be facing with."

Chinese is not a race; it is a nationality. And if you really think that the world is going to continue with China as normal once this total and utter disaster is over (whenever that is) you have another think coming. The world has gone to shit and when people point out the route cause you cry "racism". So yes, [censored] China. And you, too.

The SJWs of the world are the biggest bullies of our time. Their power cannot be denied - calling out -isms where there really isn't, canceling everyone that goes in their way. According to them, we live in the worst of times because all the -isms of the world are now at the highest rates ever. These vile creatures are the biggest scourge in the history of humankind - SJWs are people who have "Addiction Outrage" - they want to create problems where there are none - only to feel important and to feel good about themselves. They move from getting outraged by one thing, then another, post about it, and feel like the heroes they unfortunately aren't.

Dear SJW: Please stop being a plague to humanity.

I said nothing hateful or about hate. Trump is in fact inept and more concerned about his image than the health and welfare of U.S. citizens. He's a clown and his ego is detrimental to our well being. He lies daily and accepts no blame. Be upset and be concerned for your own hygiene.

Re: I never thought (93,342) (93,351) by Bill from the UK
But the fact is China has caused this global pandemic through eating bats, of all things, and other rodents and vermin that are swimming in disease, along with unhygienic practices, and a totalitarian government that tried to suppress numbers and facts when they should have warned the rest of the world about the outbreak so all flights with Chinese nationals could have been refused entry. Millions of people will die and I don't doubt a number of us on this very board will be impacted directly either through family becoming ill, ourselves becoming ill, or the economic catastrophe that awaits us all. God forbid for any of our loved ones to die because of the Chinese virus.

Now this is getting interesting; there are folks on here who obsess about what color Mariah's farts are, who are talking politics, pointing fingers, placing blame, and continue with their hate parade (which can often be about Mariah herself). You know nothing about the inner workings of politics, and whatever you think you know is as good as what's in your toilet.

People need not focus on hate, rather they should be washing their hands and their emotions, because your personal hate and discord (which no one cares about) is only contributing to the fuel that's already been set on this world.

Mariah called David Foster "the maestro" (93,349) by T from USA
After seeing her reply to David Foster and never to Walter (although she did mention his name on that Amazon docu) I think I can finally see that the reunion will never be happening.

How would it be if she reconnected and worked with Foster for some future classics? If I would have to rate her ballad producers I would say:
1. Walter A
2. Big Jim Wright
3. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis
4. Marc Shaiman
5. David Foster
6. Babyface
7. Randy Jackson
8. Daniel Moore
