Lovers and Friends performance (102,669) by Bobby A from United States
Well, MC made us proud Lambs. She has her voice. I loved the Til The End Of Time - Camouflage - Vision of Love - hello lovers and friends intro. Mimi is even looking like she stepped back into her Touch My Body video.

Is it true that they have broken up? There haven't been any pics of them together since they dined in L.A. in March.

All My Life (102,666) by Randy from USA
Bill, I stand corrected. On the innanet (webmaster please leave that spelling for dramatic effect) people have wrongfully given MC a songwriting credit, but I checked my Glitter CD and you are right. Rick James wrote All My Life. Then, me being the nerd I am, looked to see if it is a cover from one of his album cuts or something. It's not. There is a rumor that it's an old song he wrote for the Mary Jane girls but that can't be substantiated. So here's where we unreal fans stand. There are two songs in the Mariah Carey catalogue that she has recorded that are not remakes that she did not have a hand in writing. When You Believe and All My Life.

Why is MC such a brilliant songwriter? (102,664) by Anonymous from United States
I love Stevie Wonder and agree with everything you said, but he didn't write the lyrics or the music for "For Once In My Life". That song was recorded before he started taking more creative control over his music.

Hmmm. Not sure where you got that information from Randy, but the Glitter booklet says "All My Life" was written by Rick James and nobody else. I stand corrected on "Almost Home", please forgive me.

Hopelessly Devoted to You (102,662) by Bill from the UK
At long last, Mariah and Olivia Newton-John's duet is available for the first time on ONJ's album Just the Two of Us. Annoyingly, it is still the edited version from the Around the World DVD, and not the full length version.

MC's live 1998 concert duet with Olivia Newton-John is available for the first time to download and stream. In addition, it is available on Oliva Newton-John's newly released compilation Just The Two Of Us: A Duets Collection - Volume One.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame plus Tony (102,660) by Randy from USA
Ummmm Bill dahling, I did some digging and MC is given writing credits on both All My Life and Almost Home so I think my statement stands. When You Believe is the only original song she has recorded with no writing credit on. Webmaster E. That's your rap name. I think the award is for the lyrics and melody. I don't think it was awarded for only the film version or they would've had the actresses sing it at the Oscars and not MC and Whitney. I think no matter what you do to a song musically, the lyric and melody credit always goes to the original songwriter and the producer that adds to or changes it still doesn't get writing credit, just whatever producer credit he's entitled to because he added to it.

And the Oscar was for the movie version (Sally Dworsky and Michelle Pfeiffer), not Mariah's and Whitney's version.

I just received the little funko Mariah Fantasy edition. It's so cute. So now I have R2D2, BB8 and the best Mariah. Really a nice item for a desk or a showcase. Singing: it's just a sweet.

I thought she did win an Oscar for "When you believe" with Whitney? I think I misunderstood it. But yes, an Oscar for a movie song should be possible.

Concert in France (102,652) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
What is this concert I keep see footage from popping up on YouTube, was this recently, or is it from last year?

From what I can hear at least, she is better than Global Cityzen, but still throaty and raspy, and still using the backing tracks we have become custom to. But she seems a bit more confident and happy.

If the concert was from last year, then just forget this message. Then we just have to wait for Mariah's next gig which is not that far away.

Dear Randy, you're definitely right. She could get an Oscar as a producer or as a song writer. There can be miracles when you work hard and you believe.

Edward, I think that original song Oscar could be hers. Eminem and John Legend have won it. Almost Home and Right To Dream are great songs. You know I'm the eternal optimist.

She'll eventually be inducted, Randy, just be patient. As for an EGOT, well, she could definitely get an EGT. Even if her fairy godmother turned her into a great actress, I doubt she would ever get an Oscar. It's OK though, she doesn't need it.

I've always pictured 90's Mariah playing Sandy on a Grease remake.

So again MC doesn't make it? And every relevant pop diva has (Madonna, Janet and Whitney). I'm disgusted. But yass queens and delusionals will say she doesn't need it, she's broken records and she's a legend in her own right. The Tony award nomination is exciting. Imagine if MC was to eventually earn an EGOT. She should've been nominated for an Oscar for Right To Dream. Oh shut up y'all.

What is your initial fan story? (102,646) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I really enjoyed to read all the different stories. Here's mine:

As a kid I always loved "Without you", it was played every evening on the radio and of course on MTV. Then two or three years later I had my own little radio which was playing all the time. And then the magic happend. I heard "Fantasy" and I became addicted to this song. When Daydream was released I bought it as my first real album (eurodance mix tape doesn't count lol) as a cassette. I still have it, but lost the case. Anyway my love for Mariah increased from that day on. Daydream was "my" album and my treasure. "Open Arms", "One sweet day" and "Always be my baby", huge hits and Mariah Mania was going on. I was so proud of my good taste. And I loved the "Fantasy" video so much, Mariah was the sweetest and coolest girl for me with the best voice I've ever heard. Everything was outstanding, her look, her voice, her charisma. I bought "Music Box", "Emotions" and her debut on CD and I could not believe how good all the albums were. I knew from that day, that I will always love her music. Taste changes, of course mine did as well, but the love for Mariah's music stayed.

Funny side note: my mom had bought the debut in 90 because she loved "Vision of love".

Why is MC such a brilliant songwriter? (102,645) by Bobby A from United States
This question came to my mind yesterday watching one of the American Idol contestants perform one of Stevie Wonder's most well known hits- For Once In My Life. Stevie Wonder will always be regarded as a brilliant songwriter because of his unique ability to draw in the listener with his lyrics and melodies. And that is exactly what MC does with her lyrics and melodies. Lastly, MC does that unique humming and singing to the melody of her songs that very few singers do. ABMB is a huge example of MC at her best. MC is one of the greatest songwriters to live. What do the Lambs think?
