The guy has to be fully aware that she's an exception, not the rule, and her making more money shouldn't emasculate anyone. Literally, we all get it. Mariah is rich as hell. The one time she's with a billionaire who can actually match her wealth, it blows up in her face. Mariah's insane with money. She sued Packer for $50 million and walked away with 5 to 10 million plus kept the 35-carat diamond ring. I think at this time, she still has residual anger from divorcing Nick so she may have subconsciously lashed the rest of the anger out, on a billionaire. Bad move though, because after much thinking, and with how Packer has now been exposed in high-profile corruption involving the Israeli Prime Minister who has crazy power in the US government and Hollywood, I'm now inclined to believe that he pulled some strings behind the scenes to get back at her. Their settlement was November 2016, and Mariah's public humiliation happened December 2016. That was such a straight savage move, and I feel stupid for not seeing the picture clearer much sooner. I wouldn't be shocked if Stella was instrumental on this inside job and was paid off as well. I thought Nick sounded stupid when he said, "The government did that," but now I see you can literally draw a straight line from Mariah to Packer to the US government, and it makes perfect sense. Anyway, my point is that Bryan was truly a godsend to her at that time. I wish their romance had blossomed the first time they met on the tour bus in 2006. Their love story was cute: "We sprawled out over several tables and booths. We'd already started shooting flirty glances at each other in the bus about twenty miles back. We sat across from each other in a booth like eighth graders. We softly touched each other's legs under the table, undetected while the rest of the party roared on." I really wish they were still a thing because they made a great couple. I truly felt Bryan really loved her and wasn't out for her money etc. For a while I felt MC had finally found her man but I guess maybe Bryan wanted a family or there were other reasons why they broke up. Like I told TJ, you set the expectations and hope something sinks in. I try and teach my kids to laugh, work hard, nothing is automatic, honesty, integrity, and be kind. I'm trying to get my kids to enjoy Mariah's music. I play it in the car enough, lol. Sadly, that may not sink in. That's why the foundation they get at home is so important. Sure, they'll hear those words, but they should also know better than to actually use them. I remember when I was a kid, about 12 years ago, if I heard an adult outside my family cuss, I was shocked, I had never once heard my parents do it. Even now, I don't really cuss, though I might drop a word or two with friends, but it's not part of how I normally talk. No technology like we have today. I agree with you 100% we are raising snowflakes. Such whiny entitled brats. Not every kid. I teach plenty of good students who understand the value of hard work. I teach middle school special education so yeah I can speak to this somewhat. It's a hard balance of when to choice for my kids and let them choose for themselves. All three of my kids are teenagers. Did you grow up in a society where there was warnings on movies, albums and so on? I did not. I see the parenting guidance on the different tv series and stuff on Netflix etc, and I'm thinking this has to be a result of the worst generation ever when thinking of parenting. Generation X. We are helicoptering, stuff pillows under their arms (actually mattresses) and trying to protect them in ways that makes them incredibly insecure and not capable to handle normal problems in life. I'm not saying that you're one of those, because I really do believe you're not, but I see the parents of Generation X are often doing that. I think kids at home, and kids away from their parents can be totally different personalities and behave so differently that a lot of the parents would be shocked. Even in religious communities. Mariah's kids, I hope get the protecting they need, because I've said from day one that I hoped they would grow up away from fame and the public life she's living. I know a woman who had that hip sugery at 56 which is very "young" too. She always had high heels on. I will never understand why damage the foot just for a certain look. I can understand if a woman is very small and wants to look higher, but for a tall woman it makes no sense.
