Randy, I love what you've written here about Mariah's legacy. And I can also relate to having to defend MC due to the Christmas associations and also the perceived "diva" label. Yes she has that side to her, she wears it like a suit of armour, yet she's a kind and humble soul under all that - as we know. But the problem is, there's a generation of younger people in their millions who don't know that and pretty much associate Mariah only with the aforementioned. Anytime I tell somebody I'm a huge fan of hers, I immediately have to explain why, as I can literally feel the eye roll coming. And it shouldn't have to be that way. When I tell them her music practically saved me (and many others') they're like "Oh really? I must listen to AIWFCIY again - maybe there's a hidden meaning in there." Because that's the extent of Mariah Carey as they know her, or rather are "shown" - as stated in my initial post, media plays a big role in that too. Why would they show us all the amazing things she's achieved when that's not what "sells"?

But getting back to the point I wanted to make...and bear in mind this is just me: if Mariah is happy being the queen of Christmas every winter (and summer too of she fancies.), or she wants to launch a series of 10 Reggae albums that feature little more than humming and all sound identical, as long as it makes her happy, then that works for me (though I can't make any promises about purchasing them). And this is purely my perspective, which comes from being able to look back and uniquely realize this artist is the reason I'm still here - so what can I possibly do for them in return? And the answer for me is "just let them do whatever makes them happy". If you'd have asked me the same question a few years back, my answer would likely have been different. Every lamb's answer will be different, and every answer is equally valid.

Thank you Xavier and yes I'd be thrilled to. The full song is out there plus a video on various platforms/streaming, but for a fellow Lamb, I'd recommend watching the shorter clip on my X profile as it's combined with the story behind it. How Mariah inspired me to create this song, what I hope to achieve with it and why it took me 20 years. Do you have X/Twitter? I probably won't be able to share the link here but I can share my username.

Bobby, summer has arrived early this side of the pond. I'm sure Xavier will be feeling this where he is too as both countries are roasting as I type. And if I've started a new trend by consolidating my responses then all I can say is... I'm here for it all.

I think a lot of fans are genuinely excited about Glitter. The Justice4Glitter movement was a huge accomplishment by the Lambily which Mariah has very much recognized, so it would only make sense that whatever she has up her sleeve for Glitter25 is going to be worth the wait. But definitely there are many things for us to look forward to this year. Personally I'm most looking forward to the unreleased tracks from the Glitter sessions.

Firstly Lambi. Thank you so much for this, you've put a smile on my face. I was reading some of your recent previous posts earlier and was thinking how wonderfully you write, and in depth. I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.

Thank you so much Bobby. Glad to be here. I've read that 20-30 songs were recorded for Glitter that didn't make the final cut, and I'm excited to see which of these (if any) will be part of the Glitter 25th anniversary edition. Fingers crossed at least some of them will.

Hey everyone. I never knew about this site until today. I can't begin to tell you how refreshing it is to see actual conversations about our queen as opposed to an endless barrage of GIF's and emoji's under every Mariah post on Facebook, Insta, etc. And well articulated conversations - at that. I might not completely agree with every comment I've read, I think 1 or 2 border on overly critical, but it's good to see a diverse mixture of opinions from Lambs, without overt censorship.

I agree with some of the viewpoints here that Mariah increasingly does not seem like her usual self these days. It may be her condition, a side effect of medication, or past (and recent) trauma resurfacing, a combination of all the above, or... something unrelated. As Lambs, the best thing we can do is to support Mariah in any we we can. Because that's what she did for us through countless songs such as: Hero, Can't take that away, Make it happen, and so many others. We also need to overlook any behaviors we might not agree with because A) It's hard to trust anything you see online anymore (thanks AI) and media never shows us the true picture, only a distorted version that "sells" better. And B) We are not in her shoes, as much as we may think we know her, we only know her through the lens of the media, mostly. What she may be going through or battling internally and how they might manifest outwardly are things we need to be mindful of. Just be kind. As she has always been to us.

What do I feel could help? Well... if I had a magic wand I'd whisk Mariah away to a place where she could spend some time being in touch with nature, walk down a street without being recognized, and feel genuine excitement reconnecting with the simple things in life. It may not solve everything but I could literally guarantee that she'd feel a positive difference. Call it intuition (I share a lot of uncanny coincidences with Mariah) or just my observation of Mariah over the years and knowing the person she is beneath the exterior.
