Re: Mariah is in London (64,186) (64,192) by Andrew from UK
Martyn, you cheeky northern monkey. I've actually just gone to see and support a strong, powerful woman in London. Theresa May, the soon-to-be new Prime Minister. Hah.

Martyn did you just shade Charmbracelet? How could you shade my favorite album? I thought we were friends. *falls out in the middle of the floor diva style* Lol.

Re: Love Mariah honestly (64,174) (64,189) by RibbonB from USA
Most of us who post here love and support Mariah. There might be a few trolls from time to time, lol. But love and support is not blind acceptance. She fired a team of people who said they love and support her or they quit because they were not going in the same direction. Mariah seems to have some single minded focus lately and she's rocking with a group of people that she believes are taking her there, or she just decided to roll with the money team. But you're doing your friends and loved ones an injustice if you don't speak up when you feel there is cause for alarm or concern. This group of people she is now with are continually sending up red flags, alarms and if fans to just accept everything unconditionally or without question would be careless and destructive to that loved one. But both sides do create balance, so until Mariah decides to get off this boat upon these rocky seas, then voices of dissent and acceptance might be just what she needs. If she got nothing but "yas queens", she could be sailing off into the sunset of Stella's mess or scientology with JP, or who knows what. If she had nothing but "oh hell no bih". She would really be in trouble too. The problem she has with extremes is balance also creates stagnancy and confusion among fans. Tug of war is a messy kind of thing especially if one side gets too tired, or stops caring. An artist needs to stop playing games, or at least make it not so evident. Lol to paraphrase Eddie, Mariah's prior dancer/choreographer, let's hope Stellar doesn't sink the ship before Mariah makes her big comeback.

Totally with you on this Licia. I will love her music unconditionally, because in my opinion other than Charmbracelet her musical output has been consistently brilliant. Mariah as a person? I go through phases. At the moment, she's annoying me. Something seems off/weird again, but I always find that this behaviour tends to come in peaks and troughs. We are definitely in a peak and I'm more than ready for a trough.

Licia you better get in formation and cheer for them bra out, grinding snap moments. Stop being a hater. Mariah has done nothing wrong, you all are just jealous of Mariah and the Bulochnikovs amazing lifestyle. Haha sorry dahlin' I just had to. I can't with these "real lambs", "fake lambs", "haters/goats" posts that spring up everytime people try to raise concerns. I don't get it, it's a Mariah Carey messageboard, not a "praise board", we discuss everything here. The good, the bad. It's not like we are writing these on random article comments section.

Re: Love Mariah unconditionally (64,174) (64,184) by Licia from USA
The only thing I will love unconditionally is the great music that she has given me throughout years. My love for her music will never change. Other than that I don't have to accept or like the person she has become.

Re: Ariana sounding like Mimi again (64,177) (64,183) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I agree. I don't see the similarity. I don't know why it sounds more like an old school Destiny's Child song to me. I mean I can't pin point a song, but it just gave me that vibe. I don't see any Mariah in that song. Songs like "The Way" and "Baby I" or "Right There" on the other hand are blatant copies.

Re: Lambs are a support system or not? (64,171) (64,180) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
You think that I, or other people voicing concerns, will be fans by turning a blind eye and not trying to get Mariah's attention towards what we are seeing from the outside? How will it then make us any different from the "yes men" we keep complaining about in her team? A support system does not just say yes and support everything, especially if it it self destructive. A support system is one that will have your back but will tell you their views and opinions. No one here is trying to drag Mariah or insult her. They are just raising their concerns about how Mariah's current actions are affecting her brand and image. If they didn't care, they would just let her destroy her legacy. Mariah should be happy that her fans care about her and her well being, they are not just about superficial things.

I think we all just wanted her to take the right direction so that she's on top again. I'm one of the newer fans (became a fan in 2013) and I really want her to be on top again. It's one thing to know about how she used to slay the shit out of the game and another to really live in the years when she is slaying the game. I want people to take her seriously again and really give her another shot. At least, I want her legacy to be preserved. Reality TV and all those reality TV behaviour won't help her in damage control, Justin Bieber did not come back with that blockbuster "Purpose" with reality TV. Mariah did not comeback in 2005 with TEOM with all those ratchetness of reality TV.

Sorry Sheila but it is Mariah posting the selfies and parading about in her underwear and boozing it on up in front of the paparazzi. Fans are people too and entitled to their feelings and opinions. Celebrity is a double edged sword and we all have to pay the Piper for the choices we make. Mariah because of her talent has benifited greatly by and from the grace and love of her once millions of fans but if her antics sadden or outrage those same fans, there is no reason why they should be silent.

Re: Mariah is not a politician - Mirage (64,165) (64,175) by Licia from USA
I tried to keep quiet on this subject for as long as I could. No she's not a politician and no she's not obligated to say anything, but it would just be nice to see her or her team post something to show some kind of support for what's going on. There's nothing political in saying something encouraging to all that have been affected by the recent events. I agree nothing that she says will fix what has happened, but I just want to know that she cares and is aware. It won't make or break me if she chooses to continue to act oblivious to what is going on, but as I said before it would just be nice for her to acknowledge it. She never used to ignore such events before and I understand why some fans feel the way they feel.

Love Mariah unconditionally (64,174) by Shirley from United States
Guys I know Mariah case been acting different, but do you remember when she had a breakdown, she always said it was the love from her fans that got her through it all, how do you think she feels that even us "lambs" have become critics? To love unconditionally means, not bash her for her wrong doings or question her, can we try to keep it positive and just love Mimi for who she is? I personally don't mind the way she dresses, because she looks amazing wearing those adventurous outfits, and if she drinks, it's a lot of stress preforming so a drink or two helps, I drink when I'm nervous and it does wonders, but we all know that so we should try to think in her shoes... or heels lol, plus she is dieting and instead of cheating with food she prefers a drink. As for her children, I grew up moving around a lot and with lots of different people all the time and it actually made me feel more secure, and about Mariah not posting about all that has been going on with the shootings, we don't know if she contributed because she is a Christian and in the Bible it says "don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing" which means "don't tell the world know if you're doing something good because the world will give you glory if you do it in secret God will give you glory". Mariah knows what she is doing and all we can do is love and support her, God forbid anything happens to her and we feel guilty for not being there when she needed us, I might get jumped for this one but I just wanted to voice my opinion. Webmaster I hope this was readable.

What exactly are we supposed to be supporting right now? Her sea vacation? Her bra less photos? Her and her traveling circus? She's not really doing anything worth supporting at the moment.

Support (64,172) by Andrew from UK
What support is depends very much on an individual's own perspective. That an increasing number of people now accept that serious damage is being done on so many levels, and are now being vocal about it, is absolutely a *good* thing in my eyes because, hopefully, MC will, at some point, wake up to herself before walking over that there cliff and rescue what is left of the goodwill she once received. The fact that you criticise those who are admitting the reality of the situation and voicing their genuine concerns is pretty reprehensible to me. Where is this frustration of yours when Mariah is behaving like a slutty, drunk cougar in public? At the very least it is perfectly permissible to expect professionalism from your idol, to expect a developing maturity from your idol as you yourself mature and to expect to not have to tolerate your idol's slow descent into becoming a cheap imitation of their former self whose sole focus is evidently cheap tv-movie hell, bland endorsements, hideous Shopping Channel tat, and other amateurish nonsense of similar ilk. This kind of focus for someone of Mariah's stature suggests a recognition of declining sales but no attempt to do anything about it, save for the decline in personal income. Thus, a desire to make as much money as possible by any means possible, perhaps. How much does one person need? If your soul has a price you're in trouble. Nick Jonas laughing about Mariah selling cheap tat on television, repeating the word "moment" like a sex-line operator is so tragic Tommy Mottola must have it on repeat at cocktail parties. I would've preferred Mariah to have proved me wrong but I'm happy more and more fans are starting to sit up and complain. Put simply, and probably unequivocally, fans deserve a better type of delivery than the one they're getting here. Mariah has made a fortune off of her fans. It's a quid pro quo relationship, not a one-way street. When her next album tanks because the music is irrelevant and the public don't want to be associated with liking her for fear of personal ridicule, don't cry about it. You supported it.

As per usual the board was positive about [...] and the efforts she put forth, now you [censored] lambs are tearing her down again. How about this? You look in the mirror at yourself and see if you [sic] perfect? Did that work? I'm really starting to believe that the lambs are [censored] fans, nothing the woman does will ever make you happy. Look for the good in her lyrics and music and stay out [sic] her personal life. To the gay fans, why are you worried about her "nails"? Who cares? [censored]

Change (64,169) by Musti from UK
How sad that so many of us are emerging with the same emotions and the same frustrations. I wish there was something we could do. I think none of us would come here complaining if we didn't truly believe she's still got it in her and that she could still come out on top. I don't think anyone from her team comes here to check the pulse. We've been complaining about the image for weeks, and yet she still poses with Brett in a mini with her legs spread open. I still believe that ridding herself of some of the dinosaurs in her team was a good idea, but the replacements aren't doing her any good either. I'm tempted to think that MW's push-back is a matter of rescheduling to coincide with an upcoming single release. But not even the hottest song/production will save her career if she doesn't drop the self-obsession and the vulgar sexiness. To those who have said Mariah is not a politician, I'll take social awareness or simply anything else over what is being posted on her social media, any day. Some things have got to change.

Thanks for sharing that. She can't seem to let Mariah go. But I must say it's a nice song. She sounds far more original here than The Way, Only 1 or many of her other songs.
