Re: Adam (64,357) (64,358) by RibbonB from USA
Adam, I've said months ago that Mariah likes to play the damsel in distress and she brings in people to achieve a goal. Some of her fans buy what she's putting out even if its a bad look. Others from her team jump ship or were pushed out when they don't like the new direction. I think Mariah does this to hedge her bets so if it works they all win, if it fails blame the team. That said, there is a dark underbelly to that industry. I still say Mariah has now chosen to swim with sharks and it could easily end badly. I am definitely one of the ones who speak out though I have no desire to interact with a thirteen year old who now allegedly controls her social media. I am positive Mariah's people read this messageboard. Perhaps this is another hedged bet, she can put out whatever she wants yet nobody wants to interact with a kid on social media. If Stellar signed on for the role as villain, Russian dictator, leech then so be it. She is doing it well and deserves to be treated as such. No matter what, it's unwise for Mariah to have one family involved in her personal life, control her finances etc. Even if Mariah chose it, it is still a recipe for failure. Opportunists look for Areas of weakness to exploit. Whitney died in a tub of hot water while her sister in law/manager slowly walked down the hall, and her manager's brother/bodyguard was no where to be found. Now those family member are trying to sell her Grammy's for money. Lastly, I wish Mariah would develope or display more internal strength to live alone, be strong, raise her children in more privacy. The wider your circle, the more vulnerable you become. I think this crew is in it to control Mariahs legacy, her songbook. Mariah is a tough fighter I hope she wins and always wish the best for her kids.

Re: Poor Mariah (64,347) (64,357) by ADAM from USA
Wow. Spot on. As a fan of MC, I see her choices that's she's made professionally and personally as all her own. I think some people take Mariah's lyrics or confessionals during interviews a little too personal and feel like Mariah isn't accountable for her own behavior and choices. Nick was someone who she fell in love with and is the father of her kids and not the "villain". When they were together she genuinely looked the most in love and it produced the first and only set of children she's ever had. That's no small feat. When two people get together it takes the love and commitment from both ends to make a relationship work and when it no longer works out anymore, it's okay. When two people break up it's because they feel that point, they'll both be happier apart. Why does Mariah have to be taken advantage of? It's so silly. To me, whether it's Tommy, Nick, Stella or James. These are all people who had/have relationships with Mariah and at one point or another were close with MC. We'll never know both sides to anyone's relationship so why do we feel the need to destroy or victimize the other person? We all have been kind, loving, and at times with other people mean, unkind, and drift apart. This includes Mariah Carey. Let's just vote on whether the content she creates is good or not and remember that we are all human even the ones we consider to be supernatural lol. Thanks for reading. No ill-intentions from this post.

Re: The disconnect (64,331) (64,355) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
So true. As a songwriter, she has been been autobiographical more times than one could count. Of course not all people deal with and react to their struggles the same way. Mariah has been very good at hiding what goes on in her personal life and there are some things that happened to her that we weren't exactly aware of until they came pouring out through her music. She is rightfully in control of what she wants and doesn't want the public to know. However, we are at an era where people treat social media like their diary, and we are led to believe that whatever a person posts is a reflection of what their real life is like. These days, people expect the music to go with the artists image. Take 2 serial daters Taylor Swift and John Mayer for example. John's music was criticized for being a complete 180 from his lovelife. Tay, on the other hand, is almost applauded for revealing too much of her short-lived relationships through her craft. Relatability is the name of the game. Mariah, like every other celebrity, isn't one-dimensional, and there's more depth to her than what we see on the internet. But the more she keeps on posting pictures of her lavish lifestyle in her mostly either ill-fitting or inappropriately racy outfits or lack thereof, the harder it would be for people to believe or relate to more recent personal songs like Cry. or Camouflage, even if they do happen to come from real experience. And the unfortunate fact that a tween is in control of her social media presence is unsettling and is really just sad.

No I think it's a fan edit. They did a flawless job though, merging 2 different photos from the Butterfly era.

It took me while to find one haha, because I was like did I really like in this period? I'll go with the Jimmy Kimmel appearance. She looked great, she was gracious, loved that she got into the tub without any fuss.

You did an amazing job. Mariah looks stunning that way. I especially love her hair. I think Mariah would look amazing with that hair. I wanna see Mariah with a wavy shoulder-length blunt bob with a darker colour, I think it would suit her. What do you guys think?

Re: Recording? (64,339) (64,348) by darrian liu from taiwan
Yas, she's finally recording. There's no way she's not recording if she brought her sound engineer to Europe. She doesn't have any gigs right now right. She should take advantage of her great vocal condition to record and with all the views she saw she should be inspired.

Poor Mariah (64,347) by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from USA
I don't understand how some of you all constantly blame Stella, her daughter, Nick, Tommy and whoever else for Mariah. Mariah is a grown woman who is a mother and nearly 50 years old. I find the infantilization of Mariah to be disrespectful. Blaming Nick for Mariah years later is like blaming Bobby for Whitney's drug issues. Britney has a ton more issues and an actual conservator. I think Mariah is doing a lot of what she wants. It would be funny if this Mariah, and not the one we used to know, is the real her. I find it hypocritical that some of you who are reaching to blame every Mariah foible on someone else are the same ones who want to argue that we can't expect Mariah's voice to be the same as the 90's. So we can expect her voice to change/evolve, but we can't expect her personality/lifestyle to change from teens to nearly 50? If some of you all are so worried, start contacting her on social media. Instead of saying "yasss queen" and "slayriah", tell her you're not happy with her new direction. We have to hold her accountable. I think there is a fear that since so many legends are dying, were afraid to say anything because she might die. Truth is we all will die someday.

Well she does love recording in Capri. She recorded a lot there in the past. So there's that. It might also be what you suggested, and either ways I don't expect a full on album at least until next year. But if Mariah wants to make one last big comeback, she'll have to do it fast enough.

If only somebody could pull a What Not To Wear show moment on her. Someone like Andre Leon whom she likes and trusts should school her.

Did anyone ask Liron? Or is this another lie to keep lambs quiet. Lambs has been extremely vocal on Mariah, Stella and her behavior on twitter, instagram this past week. I hate to sound so pessimistic but what's the thought about recording in Europe during your vacation? Vocal rest, alcohol free vacation?

Thank you RibbonB and Luke, darker shade is always good on her, don't know why she isn't bringing it. Yes for Victoria Mimi L. It's really a great dress, I hope Mariah or her team sees that these type of outfits will surely be phenomenal on her. If we can only decide what she can wear haha.

I love dresses like these. They look chic, cute, flirty and sexy all at the same time. She should go ahead and ask Victoria Beckham to send her some stuff. Victoria is a huge Mariah fan and they know each other. Most of Victoria's designs are like this. I find it very polished, sophisticated and flirty.

Wow that's a really good edit and she would look amazing like that. A darker hair colour would suit her also like caramel blonde? She should be brave and experiment more, I would if I could afford expert stylists like her haha.

Hi Lee TS. It's called Cool Sculpting and it's what the news was saying in 2015 that Mariah had done to get a jump start on losing the weight. Here is the article I saw about it. Sounds like it's true if KB had it done. Also, this whole face thing everyone is talking about where Mariah's cheeks look bigger is a fat transfer. Around late 08 is when that story came out where Mariah and Janet were celebrities named as having it done. When people age, their face becomes more gaunt looking which ages them. Plastic surgeons say a fuller face (cherubim like) gives a more youthful appearance so older stars get a fat transfer into their cheeks to prevent this gaunt look.

Style (64,336) by Malcolm from Asia
Since I think color black is the theme of this vocally improving but messy era, what if she tries some black outfits that is demure and classy, in short not showing her cleavage. Someone said that "ample cleavage" is constantly appearing in Mariah-related articles, which is very true so for a change, how great if the articles about her sometimes written as "Mariah slays classy look". Just for fun, I edited her with a sheath dress sporting short hair, I can't, it really suits on her. Imagine if she always wears something like that, the backlash will probably lessen.

Do we have any Real Housewives fans here? So in an episode of the NYC one, KB made an appearance to do one of the housewives' makeup. He told a story about how he got his fat frozen and they would melt away. That sounds so dramatic and a crazy trend. I wonder if Mariah's doing it too on top of her parcel purple diets. Just for laughs.
