Re: Remix coming (88,437) (88,442) by SM from Citizen of the World
I totally agree things are not the way it used to be. Maybe we will see some promo at the end of the month because she will be performing in NYC on the 25th, rescheduled her Boston show on March 28th so she is open for a few days after Radio City, or maybe just off for her birthday lol.

Caution (88,441) by Andrew from London, UK
So today was the first day I listened to thr whole Caution album in the car whilst stuck in traffic tryinf to cross the river. I have to say I have come around to the thinking that it is, as it stands, the best version of what it could be. Or wants to be. I can understand why it is so critically lauded. It's not the album anyone wanted. But it is the best version of what it wants to be. I shan't listen to it much more, however. Except for With You. That song is really classy.

If I call someone a Jamaican twit, what sayeth you? On many levels this could be debated. Let us move on.

Michael Jackson is innocent. Inability to prove guilt = innocence, no matter what hyper sensitive moral reactionist world people may want to force you to live in. Same goes for Mariah. Show me irrefutable evidence and then I will condemn. It's all hearsay. I mist remind myself of that often. It's so easy to fall into the virtue signalling trap.

Caution tour start time (88,438) by Jono from USA
Hey lambs, will be going to the Chicago date and super excited. Curious if anyone on here that has already been to one of the shows, what time did Mariah actually come on?

Remix coming (88,437) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
So I am not sure that all the other members posted this, but here it is.

What I disagree with, is that this is 2019. Clearly the traditional method of releasing music does not apply and a new strategy should have been implemented.

Why can't people just... (88,436) by J from USA
Accept the fact that Mariah's time has come and go just like all her peers? This is not me saying she should quit making music because I enjoyed Caution, but at this point the majority of you are stuck in the past. Times have changed. Mariah is no longer considered a "cool artist" anymore. Look at the Hot 100, the songs in the top 10 have been there for months. Mariah isn't 25 anymore. She's almost 50 years old. It happens to the best of them. The reason why some other older artist are able to at least go gold is because their fan base and music has remained consistent all over the years. Mariah for the past decade has been trying to cater to a crowd that isn't interested in her musically whatsoever (I'm 26, I know exactly what people these days are listening to and considered "poppin"). While she does have fans that are young, she has completely abandoned a lot of her other fans altogether.

Re: Michael Jackson (88,426) (88,435) by J from USA
The thing that's making me go WTF the most is the fact that all these MJ allegations are he said she said, hearsay.

I'm gonna need people to stop comparing MJ with R Kelly. There's actual video evidence of R Kelly having sexual relationships with a minor. There's a marriage license of him at 27 married to a 15 year old Aaliyah.

Where is the proof for MJ? This man was investigated for 10 years and the FBI found nothing incriminating against him. I get why people would compare but for me there's a huge difference between hearsay and something that's very one sided to a situation where proof is right in front of our eyes.

What I don't understand why would a parent let their children engage in a friendship with an adult man and let them sleep in the same bedroom?

So I guess all of those black folks that were born and raised in London who identify as British are white just like you? You guys are the same race? Now that is laughable or just plain ignorant.

Re: Eternally optimistic (88,422) (88,432) by Special K from USA
No Randy, I want you to love me the way a newborn baby loves his mother's breast milk. I kidd, I kidd. The introspective, deep lyrically content, mature Mariah never left. We see glimeses of her with songs like Cry, Langushing, Portrait, FTR. I do believe Mariah is gonna bless us with another Butterfly, Music Box, type of album. It's hard for me believe that Mariah didn't write more songs like Portrait for Caution. Maybe they just didn't make the album. So yes, continue to be eternally optimistic.

Re: Eternally optimistic (88,418) (88,431) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes most of her videos are about being pretty or partying. Except the live concert videos. But some have more to tell visually like "Butterfly" or the "The roof". I love the partying in "Fantasy" and "Agent M" in "Honey" by the way.

Re: A No No video review (88,420) (88,430) by B from USA
I wanted Mariah acting like Ava Gabor in Green Acres. Moving the lawn in a pair of Louboutin's and during the second verse on an island dressed up like Ginger from Gilligan's Island, but we don't always get what we want. It's currently trending at #13 on YouTube.

Re: No No video (88,416) (88,429) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I thought immediately of you Special K. when Bryan was doing some dancing in the video. I'm reading all of the thoughts of the video here on this board. Very interesting. I think it's an ok video. I like the colours. I'm missing a little story too. But compared to the GTFO video, it's not so bad. It looks modern with all the dancers on the train. Her kids are sweet on the few seconds.

Video concept (88,428) by RibbonB from USA
Let me help Mimi out, even though it's too late. Since my biggest issues with the video are why the kids are there and the lack of story line, I think Rheingold help. Mariah is down in the subway station for a ribbon cutting, for the new lamb line to Long Island. She's there with Roc and Roe all dressed and ready. Just as Mimi is about to cut tape a grungy, old, bright, blue/pink train rolls up on the opposite track, with music blasting, people dancing and Roc being a little harass dashes into the train quickly followed by Roe. Mimi whistle screams and dashes on to get her babies. The door slams and off they go. Then all the partiers dance, or slither by, in order to get Mimi's attention, showing massive thirst levels. The lyrics still wouldn't correspond, but it would at least explain why two kids are alone on a subway train and all the frantic dancing and eye rolling.

A No No video (88,427) by Gilles from Malta
I love the video, It is so glamour and in a certain way with a neon fashionista style. I love the outfits, make up, colors, the concept. I love the dancers, it shows it is for fun and they are all smiling, their acting make me smile. I wouldn't have imagined something else for the song. It is like a big party and having fun for a person who decided to say no no, not anymore of this relationship. The whistles session is fantastic à la Emotions. I love the fact that they show in the video a party session like in a club because it is a bit the meaning of It's Like That song, don't you think? Because it's my night, no stress, no fights, I'm leavin' it all behind, no tears, no time to cry, just makin' the most of life. Sorry if some people don't like it, I don't share the same sentiment, but I do agree that I would love another video with a story line as Touch My Body, Honey, Heartbreaker. I cross my finger that it would be for Giving Me Life. Have a nice video time.

Michael Jackson (88,426) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
I have no idea what to think. Victims or famewhores? I doubt "Leaving Nerverland" had infiltrated Mariah's world, but I wonder what she makes of it all. R Kelly, MJ and Jussie. Hasn't been a great month for friends of Mariah.

I like it too. I thought it was a cute, fun video. I have no expectations, what for? It is what it is. I've liked all the videos from Caution just fine. Lucky me. I thought that about the whistles too. A nice surprise either way. I'll be at the Chicago show. Did you get good seats?

Special K. I love you like ice cream In December. But for real for real, I'm really hoping for the change I assume is going to happen. Let me serenade you, Andrew, B, Jaker20, RJ112, Eric(k) and Ribbon now "every once in awhile, there's a distant glimmer of hope, I find".

Remix (88,421) by jaker20 from US
I still think there will be a surprise remix, maybe not the one we want, but something with someone somewhere. And then the video will make a bit more sense. I'm just glad its not tragic like I Don't vid. Come to think of it, this is one of her better videos in a long time.

Re: A No No video review (88,405) (88,420) by jaker20 from US
I was thinking of a video where there's a fashion show and some of the looks are so bad, and then it shows all her reactions while everyone is loving the show and kissing the designer's behind. Just like the train setting, it's a concept that required only a single setting if they are being cheap on the video. But it's at least a concept. Though I like the current video, but mostly because I love the song, she looks amazing as ever and I love the added high notes.

Re: Eternally optimistic (88,409) (88,418) by jaker20 from US
Randy, I didn't say she is none of those. I am saying her videos have always been like that, not serious and always just about her being sexy and or partying. Her videos are never deep. Ever. So why are we expecting any change now? She did write deep serious stuff. But this conversation is about the video, not the song. As I have stated, I love the song, and all I hoped was for it to be released, hit or not. People need to discover the album.
