Here for it all (111,835)
by Giovanni from USA

Is a solid and cohesive album by MC. I'm glad she recorded it and believe she tried her best to promote it. I'm a little disappointed by the sales but at this point Mariah has nothing to prove, is past her prime and I think she's going to keep recording regardless which is fine with me. I can't wait for the next album and I heard she won't wait too long to release it. I think going 7 years without any new music was definitely too long and a mistake. My favorite songs are "Jesus I do", "In your feelings", "Nothing is impossible" and "Here for it all". One thing this album shows is that Mariah still has her pen game and I can't wait for more new songs in the future. I'm very proud of her for still showing us that she's still one of the best music artists and song writers of our time.

Jesus I do (111,474)

Trust me this is the one I'm most excited to hear and it's going to be one of Mariah's best tracks from the album. Jay Valentine already made it clear it's going to be good so I cannot wait.

Negative reviews (111,473)

Means nothing to me, when you give TEOM 3 stars that tells me everything I need to know about your taste. We all know that album is 5 stars and a 10/10 and Mariah definitely deserved the Grammy for AOTY. People have to remember there are many in the industry and editorial boards still to this day who hate Mariah and don't want her to break The Beatles record or be successful. I already know HFIA is going to be one of Mariah's best albums but before I give it a listen I will be listening to Caution. I'm curious where are y'all purchasing your physical copy if you haven't already ordered? I'm thinking of buying mine at Walmart lol I just don't like Target anymore and haven't been in one in years.

Promo (111,445)
by Giovanni from USA
| |
|
|
The promo for the album has been good so far and I feel MC is only getting started. She did look tired in the Gayle King interview so I hope she gets plenty of rest. I know "Play this song" is going to immediately be sent to radio on Friday so I hope everyone will be streaming and playing the video on YouTube. Mariah deserves her next number one and hit record. I do think Here for it all will reach number one on the r&b chart but on the Billboard it's questionable. There have been so many artists who have released albums and they flopped bad and didn't even chart at all. I don't think that will happen with Mariah. "Play this song" sounds promising and with her label behind her she could very well have the album chart decent. Also I heard there is something in the works with SZA, either a collab or a remix. 2025 might be Mariah's year if the fans do their part.

SZA/Apple (111,444)
by Giovanni from USA
| |

I have to say I did not pay much attention to SZA when she first came out. I knew about "Kill Bill" but that's it. She comes off as nice, respectful and she is another artist who loves and admires MC. The interview was good and that "Here for it all" snippet was amazing. I think it might be one of Mariah's best ballads and maybe my favorite because of the piano. It's a very emotional song and reminds of something from "Butterfly". The audience was certainly eating it up and here for it all haha.

Gayle King (111,443)
by Giovanni from USA
| |
|
|
That was one of Mariah's best interviews for sure. For once we got good questions and it wasn't boring. Gayle knows how to do an interview and she loves her some MC. My only complaint is that it was too short. I'm looking forward to MC doing Jennifer Hudson's show. Her last appearance was great and she even got herself an award. I thought that was so nice and sweet. I feel like people are respecting Mariah again and after "Here for it all" is out and is heard everyone in the industry will know MC is still number one and a music force to reckon with. This woman deserves her flowers and more.

Play this song (111,429)
by Giovanni from USA

I made the mistake of not turning the volume off my phone before I went on Mariah's Insta and well I heard a little of "Play this song". It's sounds pretty good and has the potential to help the album. I have to say by seeing the short video clip Anderson .Paak looks so happy with Mimi. I think he has a crush on her and I wouldn't be surprised if they were secretly dating. I've never seen someone smile so much for Mariah probably since Bryan. What do y'all think?

I really wish this had been Mariah's song. I can understand how it might not have been hit worthy but I like it and I think it had potential. Her voice sounds good and the lyrics are decent. It's certainly a lot better than that horrible garbage "Infinity" song. I would like to ask her what she thinks of the song.

Recent falsetto (111,426)
by Giovanni from USA
| |
|
|
Christina was good when she first started. I like her debut album and it's aged very well. "Come on over" is her best song in my opinion followed by "I turn to you". She definitely had a tendency of over singing and over doing it with riffs and runs but her problem was that she did not have proper singing technique which damaged her voice. She's probably the only singer who I can think of who has strained the most and well that also had a major impact on her voice. I've seen some recent performances of hers and surprisingly sounds much better these days. I'm happy for her and hope she can have another hit record one day.

Christina can sing, she just over sings most of the time, which can be unpleasant. I was just listening to live versions of Reflections and a few other songs from her first two albums, she definitely can sing.

Good morning to all. Mariah just posted about her video "Play this song" on X. I am here for her look and I actually like the high boots, she looks sexy. And Anderson looks so happy being with her, wouldn't surprise me if he has a crush on her. I wanna know what are your thoughts on the outfit Mimi L.

I agree 100%, not only should it have been the first single but a solo for sure. As much as I like "Type Dangerous", it was not single worthy plus I hate the video even though Mariah looks good. I feel like "Play this song" is the song and single we all will like and all wanted.

Oh for sure Mariah definitely looks better than JLo and yes she has a killer smile. I loved that outfit because of the color and because it gives me 2013 vibes in terms of looking so young and fresh. I even liked the shoes haha. I can't wait for "Play this song" with .Paak.

You're too kind and likewise I enjoy your posts. Mariah's beauty is truly underrated and not talked about enough in the industry. I know JLo gets a lot of compliments with what people call the "JLo Glow" and not to put one woman against another but Mariah's beauty far outshines her. She has the thousand watts smile. She keeps looking better with age. She needs a consistent stylist. Get her Law Roach for that edgy looks.

SZA (111,403)

Another Frankie J fan on this messageboard, I love it. He's so talented with an amazing voice and he's taken care of his instrument well because he still sounds so good. "The One" is my favorite album from him. I'm normally a fan of debut albums like with Beyonce's "Dangerously in Love" album. It's one of my favorites not just by Beyonce but of all time. I love r&b so maybe that's why plus there are so many good songs like "Crazy in love", "Baby boy", "Naughty girl", "Me myself and I". I like Beyonce and her music but I feel she has way too many Grammys and not all are deserved. But man Frankie J can sing and I wish he was bigger because he has a way better voice than a lot of people in the industry today. It's good to see him still performing and making music.

Hi Mimi L. I love your posts and yes Mariah ate in those photos. The color definitely suits her well and the hair and make up were on point. She definitely looks young and gives me 2013 Mariah. If she recorded the video for "Play this song" in that ensemble it would explain why she posted those pics. Maybe she was giving us a hint.

Streaming (111,349)
by Giovanni from USA
| |

Even if "Play this song" turns out to be a good song or even hit worthy I worry about streaming. Mariah has a social media and streaming problem and so I worry fans will not stream the song or album. I know the single will be sent to radio but in order for Mariah to have a successful single and album we need as many lambs to stream. Mariah definitely has some more hits left in her but she needs our help. I hope Gamma has a plan and will help but I don't see it.

I mean the song title itself sounds good and tells me it will be a good song especially with Anderson .Paak. I can't wait for the video because although I like "Type dangerous" the video is terrible and too AI for me. I'm wondering if the photos of Mariah on the piano were from the video? There has been no sightings of Anderson .Paak with Mariah so I wonder if the video was recently shot or done a month ago?

Does anyone agree that Mariah ate in those two photos on the piano she posted on her Insta? The hair, the face card, the ensemble. That color looks so good on her and she does not look 56 at all. Now why couldn't she wear that instead of the Golden ensemble at the VMAS haha. I just can't let it go and never will. I never wanna see it again.

Hooker dresses (111,302)
by Giovanni from USA
| |

I miss so many ensembles and voice eras from Mariah but I really do miss the hooker dresses from 2008 lol. I just watched Mariah's performance at American Idol in 2008 performing "Bye Bye" and I loved the black hooker dress as well as the performance. She really looked so good and sounded amazing even Ryan Seacrest said so. I loved the moment one of the back up singers got loud and was letting her voice be heard lol I thought it was cute. 2008 was a good year for her vocally. Her chest voice was so powerful and she could belt loud and fierce. Also loved the pink hooker dress she wore on Good Morning America lol don't come at me they were hooker dresses but they looked so good on her and only Mariah could get away with wearing them. She will always be the prettiest and sexiest female singer of all time. She is not just legendary because of her voice, singing and songs but also because of her outfits.

Mariah the rapper (111,295)
by Randy from USA

When JD was talking about Mariah wanting to be a rapper, it didn't click until I heard Mi. She's talking about if it ain't about money I don't wanna hear it. Then I thought about Rihanna's Bitch Better Have My Money and Beyoncé's Diva. So the lines are blurred. Singing fast and talking about brands, bling and hoes is now r&b and pop. I think now about the fast singing in We Belong Together and the first verse of More Than Just Friends and Type: Dangerous. MC is really an MC. Thank God Sarah McLachlan comes out tomorrow. I miss ballads and old fogey music. When MC invited ODB in on Fantasy in 95, I thought she had a lane and he had a lane. Worked for me. Mariah is a bob and weave kinda driver. I wonder how this'll all sound at 60? I know. I know. She doesn't acknowledge time.

They touched each other's legs under the table haha so hot and funny at the same time. They truly were hot for each other. Packer (111,288)

I love it. We'll pray for the right man. Men are called to provide, and I bet Nick and Bryan both felt they came up short because you just can't out-earn Mariah. The guy has to be fully aware that she's an exception, not the rule, and her making more money shouldn't emasculate anyone. Literally, we all get it. Mariah is rich as hell.
The one time she's with a billionaire who can actually match her wealth, it blows up in her face. Mariah's insane with money. She sued Packer for $50 million and walked away with 5 to 10 million plus kept the 35-carat diamond ring. I think at this time, she still has residual anger from divorcing Nick so she may have subconsciously lashed the rest of the anger out, on a billionaire.
Bad move though, because after much thinking, and with how Packer has now been exposed in high-profile corruption involving the Israeli Prime Minister who has crazy power in the US government and Hollywood, I'm now inclined to believe that he pulled some strings behind the scenes to get back at her. Their settlement was November 2016, and Mariah's public humiliation happened December 2016. That was such a straight savage move, and I feel stupid for not seeing the picture clearer much sooner. I wouldn't be shocked if Stella was instrumental on this inside job and was paid off as well. I thought Nick sounded stupid when he said, "The government did that," but now I see you can literally draw a straight line from Mariah to Packer to the US government, and it makes perfect sense.
Anyway, my point is that Bryan was truly a godsend to her at that time. I wish their romance had blossomed the first time they met on the tour bus in 2006. Their love story was cute: "We sprawled out over several tables and booths. We'd already started shooting flirty glances at each other in the bus about twenty miles back. We sat across from each other in a booth like eighth graders. We softly touched each other's legs under the table, undetected while the rest of the party roared on." And it's crazy how this is the same man who saved her exactly 10 years later, during what would become the darkest time of her life.
