New albums era (109,936) by Giovanni from USA I heard Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez will also be releasing albums this year and I for one am sick of Taylor Swift. Hopefully no one stands in our way for Mariah to get herself a hit song. I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of excitement on social media for this new album with the fans. Sugar Sweet (109,826) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so snippet is out. Next single is Sugar Sweet. Seems very easy breezy sexy kinda vibe like TMB which is a song I love. The snippet hasn't instantly hooked me but neither did the snippet for TDang but I grew to like that. What does everyone think? By the way she looks like a literal Barbie. Special guests (109,835) by BFF from United States I honestly wish the Usher collaboration single had happened with "How Much". I really liked the So So Def Remix version we got on the Anniversary Version of "Rainbow". That could have been a big git considering Usher was pretty big at the time as well. Fingers crossed that Mariah hits a home run with the second single. "Type Dangerous" kind of fizzled out. (Saturday 19 July 2025; 23:46)

New album (109,703) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter The new album is supposed to be a summery sound, well July is almost over I wonder what the roll out plan is and I was thinking I really hope the new album and what we heard about it turns out to be like E=MC2. I've been playing the album and it's still so fresh and experimental. Almost every song had single potential. I was also re-listening to For the Record and indeed what a record only MC has a legacy worth referencing in her own song. I absolutely love her doing the part where she word plays her own song titles, how I wish we had a music video of the song with her recreating her famous MV scenes from the songs mentioned. Anyway I'm rambling but yes I'm hoping for an album like that. It's peak summer vibes with songs like TMB, Cruise Control, IBLULT, FTR, Migrate, ITC. Even has the cheesy Love Story and Last Kiss which I know people hate on but I love it. (Saturday 12 July 2025; 23:55)

Type Dangerous (109,744) by Giovanni from USA It's been a long time since I posted or caught up with Mariah, but I have to say after giving "Type dangerous" a chance it has grown on me. I didn't really like it at first but I do now. When "It's like that" was released, I didn't really like it either. Her voice sounds much better and rested. Tanaka (104,673) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Bryan released a statement confirming what we've all probably already knew at this point that they broke up. This was one of her longest relationship and even though at first I didn't ship them (I thought it was Stella's influence and also that Mariah was in a vulnerable state and needed that confidence boost of dating someone hot and young) but over the years they seemed really happy. I never saw Bryan try to use his relation with Mariah to be more relevant/famous. Their relation seemed quite strong because Stella tried to break them up but eventually got fired. The breakup probably happened earlier in the year because Mariah was saying last Christmas was a very bad time for her. Rumor is that they separated because Bryan wanted a family but Mariah didn't (and I don't blame her, her pregnancy was difficult and I'm sure her priorities are different as she already has 2 kids). I feel like Mariah is taking her career more serious and wants a hit record. I loved "Caution" and "The rarities" album so I hope we get more songs like "Portrait" and "Save the day". Caution album (100,090) by Giovanni from USA I'm still enjoying the "Caution" album. It's definitely her best album since "The Emancipation Of Mimi". I don't care about the Grammy's. Mariah's voice (89,636) by Giovanni from USA We all know Mariah's voice isn't what it used to be and I'm sure she knows it well. There are a lot of voices that aren't what they used to be. Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Jo Jo, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clark's son even Celine Dion doesn't even sound the same anymore. And in time neither will Ariana Grande. It's called ageing, vocal damage and nodules. I do wish Mariah had taken better care of her voice. The best time she can do is get a vocal coach if she hasn't already. In my opinion Mariah remains unmatched in voice and as a singer. God gave her a special kind of voice. Nobody will ever come close. (Sunday 19 May 2019; 00:44)

Billboard Music Awards (89,447) by Giovanni from USA Mariah looked amazing and gave a very good speech. She had a diva moment but kept it classy and was humble. There was a lot of love and respect there that night and she deserved it. She's paved the way for so many and has inspired a whole new generation of singers.
