RJJ12 / Webmaster (40,841) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
RJJ12, if I tell you, I'll have to kill you lol. L is just the first letter of my real name. Webmaster, I've been thinking for the past few days that it would be nice to have a like/dislike button! I am glad you decided to add it.

Where did you come from with that Sylk E Fyne? Man, you took me back and reminded me I'm old. Lol I actually would like to see where Kendrick Lamar could take that song. I can imagine him rapping over that beat more than Drake.

Sorry (40,839) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Today I've added the option to like or dislike a message. Unfortunately, I made a big error, so it was no longer possible to post messages. I want to apologize to everyone who tried to post a message the last few hours. I'm so sorry.

Mariah / Isaac (40,838) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah seems to be collaborating with Nas, Wale, Darhyl and another "surprise collabo". This must be a diverse album because Mariah said that TAOLG shows which direction the album is going (raw ballads) and now we are getting to know a lot of people including different rappers are on board. Another TEOM/Butterfly in the making? Excited! Isaac, you are entitled to your opinion but do you think that maybe all these attacks are not just because of Nas, but also because you keep shooting down everyone else's opinion by making them sound like it's the most ridiculous opinion you have read. There are many messages of yours where you tell people off in a very rude manner, most of your messages start with "I don't care what you think" or something delusional like Marian still sounds like her earlier years and then there are the usual "who cares about Mariah's hair/dress/songs, Mariah is perfect". You were rude to the webmaster saying you don't care if you offended him, why not? He is the reason we all are able to come together here and discuss our love for Mariah. Lamb o chop wrote to him too, but the message wasn't harsh like yours. You are calling people non-factors, who gave you the right really? I get that you adore Mariah, so do we, in our own ways. You have to really let people just express their opinion instead of attacking everyone. You apologized and that's nice (if it's genuine), but avoid booing down people's opinions just because they are not the same as yours.

Mimi L, promo video / Justin T / Nas, rap collaborators (40,836) by 123 from USA
Mimi L, what does the L in your name mean, or can you not reveal that because it's top secret. Lol. So it looks like the video might be in the can already. It seems like she might be a lot more prepared than her last attempt. She was still working on the album when she released #Beautiful. With the album complete, she should be able to focus her attention on promoting/performing the single. I'm against a collab with Justin, I dislike how his label wouldn't release when Mariah wasn't at the top of the charts in the early 2000s. He is talented but some of his songs from his latest efforts sound like left-overs from past albums. His harmonies are completely "influenced" from Timbaland's r&b group, Playa. You can clearly hear it in one of the group member's song for example, Static Major-Lova Lova. Nas is a hot collab, I actually prefer him over Jay-Z. He is very poetic. There are a select few from the new school of rappers that I would love Mariah to collaborate with. Kendrick Lamar would be a great mix over a Scott Storch piano driven beat. Drake would be another awesome duet. I had an idea where they both collaborated on Sylk-E-Fyne's-Romeo and Juliet, and re-write it while still using the beat and general idea of the song.

Collaborations (40,835) by Lainsky from Philippines
With all these collaborations with this rapper and that, I am sensing somehow that this album to be released will not have a huge difference from the previous releases. I could be wrong.

clueey23 (40,833) by Isaac from USA
Lol, shame on me? Please, you posted something even worse than I did. All I posted was in regards to someone being irreverent (?). But you took it to a whole nother level and put down an artist. And I mentioned that they have no talent. Now I don't know if they are any Jennifer Lopez fans on here, but I'm not. But your comment makes you a hypocrite. You're no better than me or anyone else. Also, how or in what way is Justin Timberlake overly hyped?

Nas (40,832) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
I'm glad that most of the messageboard is in agreement regarding Nas' ability and his potential contribution to Mariah's album. I'm looking forward to hearing her collaboration with him and Maxwell the most. I've seen Maxwell tweet her, indicating that there may be a duet, so I am very hopeful.

Nas / Lamb_ O_Chop (40,831) by Isaac from USA
It's ridiculous how people are coming at me just because of my opinion on Nas. I wasn't harsh or disrespectful. I just stated that I haven't heard from him in awhile. It's my opinion and I believe that I am entitled to it. The way people defend Nas, I'll do the same with Justin Timberlake. It's not like I am the only person here that has ever posted anything harsh or mean. Lamb_O_Chop thanks for not being rude or mean towards my comment. You are one of my favorite people here on the messageboard. You always state the truth and never attack someone based on their opinion. Something some people (including myself, Edward and Warmillo) should learn from you. Those two are non factors to me. And I can't seem to get enough of posting about me, lol. I love you too. And if I offended you or any other Nas fan, I'll put my pride aside for you and apologize. I would never disrespect you. I appreciate your love and advice. And I will listen to the album you suggested. So thanks.

Dedication (40,830) by Bill from the UK
Well amongst all these posts for Isaac there's some people talking about a new single. A collab with Nas would be great, I loved the Make It Last remix of TGIFY more than the original. So dream-like and soulful. If it's more of the same then I can't wait.

Nas / new album (40,828) by Ernest Moreno from USA
Nas is okay. It will interesting to hear how the track will sound. But Justin Timberlake is just as good, if not better (as in regards to his music). Personally, I think they are both talented. I can't wait to hear the single and album.

Stuck in a YouTube loop (40,827) by Lee from UK
Does anybody ever go to YouTube to listen to a specific live performance by Mariah and then get stuck in a loop of listening to lots of her live performances? Then an hour later you're like "What did I actually come on the internet for?" Seriously, if I'm listening to one performance I'm listening to ten more suggested performances even if I've seen them all like 100 times. I remember the days before there were lots of YouTube videos and you had to buy CDs of her live performances from EBay.

Edward from USA (40,826) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
?Edward, in my opinion you make some of the most insightful comments on this message board. I actually log looking to read what you post. It's evident that you have actually "followed" and experienced "Mariah" and have "gone through" her many metamorphosis stages and phases. It's obvious that you are reasonable and grounded and able to set aside your love and admiration for Mariah enough so to make coherent, logically sustainable comments or observations and even predictions, about her life and career. I value your opinion and appreciate your consistency.

Isaac, Isaac, Isaac... (40,825) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
Isaac, daling, I can't even be upset at you. Cutie! You can't be more than 17 years old or something "childish" like that. Now, you've never commented to me because I've never posted a comment so astronomically ridiculous that it drew you away from the actual attention and point of this site, which is to speak real "Mariah". Like you said, you've never disrespected me directly, you're right, but every time you speak and you keep that "dummy-stick" in your mouth, and you speak your diluted comments, which don't even pass as "opinions" but rather psychologically induced distortions of the reality around you, its like a straight slap in the face. I feel totally disrespected! Lol. In other words, you dont make any kind of sense, hon. You called me "irreverent". You obviously also use words you dont understand. For me to have acted irreverently, you, personally, would have had to be held in some type of high regard and clearly, thats not the case. Considering the fact that you are the one person that receives the most rebuttals of any other member of this blog. Also, I'm not upset at anything at all, as you claim. You are totally entitled to your own ignorant opinion, as I am entitled to shedding light on said ignorance.

Ok lets not do Nas (40,824) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
I love you Issac darling, but a talent of Nas caliber could never be considered irrelevant. The guy is a lyrical genius and has nothing but the upmost respect of the entire industry. He's not called the street disciple for any reason. I would recommend you listen to a few of his albums, particularly God's Son and It Was Written and tell me he doesn't slay 99.9% of rappers today. Like some say he's legendary and exactly who Mariah should be working with. It's always a good look to have him one your album.

I just thought about it, Maxwell and MC were label mates on Columbia back in the 90's. I really hope that they collaborate.

Nas / the album / style / Issac (40,821) by clueey23 from USA
I just wanna say Nas will never ever be irrelevant. Just like MC, he is a timeless artist. Even his latest album is full of real instrumentation and great lyrics, a classic. Listen to "Cherry Wine" with Amy Winehouse. That is the type of collaboration MC needs and I'm sure wants. It's classic and classy. The most relevant artists of today are over hyped and Justin is one of them. Beyonce is another. And I think once we get the album from MC we will all hear why. I think this album, regardless of hairstyle, will be a masterpiece to sit next to Butterfly. I personally don't want MC to be singing a whole bunch of pop songs in the vain of Rainbow or E=MC2. I'm too old and she's too old for that right now. And I know there are people that don't care for "The Art of Letting Go" but it's a step in the right direction, especially what we saw and heard in the promo clip back in October 2013. I hear growth from MC with each album. I agree that MC needs to consult with a stylist like the "Mimi" era, Andre from Vogue and June Ambrose was another stylist she has worked with in the past. But again I always remind myself MC isn't a style icon and she has never ever needed to be, save it for people with less musical talents like Jennifer Lopez. MC has always been the artist that would have the perfect dress on with the wrong shoes or vice versa. lol. Issac do your research before you talk about music legends on this board. I can't believe you said he's irrelevant, shame on you.

Nas irrelevant, I think not (40,820) by B from USA
Nas is often named as one of the top hip hop artists. MTV ranked him at number 5 on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time. [6] In 2012, The Source ranked him No. 2 on their list of the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time. In 2013, Nas was ranked fourth on MTV's "Hottest MCs in the Game" list. He has six number 1 albums on the Billboard 200, tying him with Eminem and Kanye West for 2nd all time among rappers.

Do you even read the news posted on this site? I love JT, but I don't think MC is talking about him. Nas is legend. Go listen to If I Ruled The World by Nas. Educate yourself!

One thing having an opinion and a voice, the other is being arrogant and aggressive. And you need to change your approach if you want respect on the message-board, otherwise see twitter.

Collaborations (40,817) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
How do you all feel about Mariah collaborating with a female artist? Not Celine or her contemporaries. More like Beyonce (they are pretty good friends I think), or Britney, Rihanna (I don't really like her), Christina Aguilera, Adele or Shakira? I think her and Beyonce could be huge. Britney too. She could do a "groovy" dance song (similar to Migrate), an uptempo "feel good" song or even a ballad. Also which other female collaborators can you think of? (Again, singers who are not her contemporaries.)

Speaking on irrelevancy (40,814) by Licia from USA
Isaac, your boy JT thought Mariah was irrelevant in the CB era and I bet he thinks the same thing now because she's not on top of the charts. I respect him as an artist, but he gives me douchebag vibes. We are going to always bring up that Yours remix because it was a great opportunity and as much as I think JT is a douchebag, I think he would have sounded nice on that song.

Isaac (40,813) by Licia from USA
Have you ever listened to anything by Nas? Nas is one of the greatest rappers ever. His social awareness and lyrics make you think about things in a different way. In other words, he's a stinking beast on the mic. Look up any list of great rappers and I'm pretty sure Nas is high on the list. I'll just assume you have no idea who he is and that's why you are talking out your behind. Lol. Boo to Mariah and Justin Timberlake.

Ms.Giselle / Peaceful Aquarium (40,812) by Isaac from USA
Girl please [...] Still on Mariah's fashion. Yawn. Peaceful Aquarium, Nas compared to Justin Timberlake. I can't believe people are still on the whole "Yours" remix track. Who cares? Justin is a very talented music artist. Who can actually sing? Who makes good music? I just hope Nas and MC's collaboration will top songs like "Sweetheart" ,"Say something" or "Get your number"? It has to.
(Tuesday 28 January 2014; 10:17)
Nas (40,811) by Peaceful Aquarian from United States
What's the problem with Nas? Sure, he isn't as mainstream as Jay-Z, Kanye etc. But he is a legend and seems to be relevant enough for Mariah to be working with him again. Timberlake, really? He's another mediocre trend hopper that ditched Mariah during the Charmbracelet that suddenly wanted to collaborate in 2005. Eff him. Nas over him any day.
