It is currently #12 (+3) on Amazon USA for CD. On iTunes USA the album is 25 (+10). The album is doing wonderful things in the UK and has risen to the Top 10 on iTunes #8 (+4). LA (53,534) by Hana from UK It's wise for LA to not over promise or make bold claims that Mariah has got new hit singles/no. 1's in the pipe line. If her promo team started going around claiming "Infinity" is No. 1 material it could harm her image and career further if the general public didn't care for it. The media loves a car crash. I believe he's playing it cool and hoping for the best. If she gets another number one then that would be amazing. If she flies off the radar on the music charts, then it wouldn't be so embarassing and people would sweep this attempt to "comeback" under the rug until the next album. (Tuesday 19 May 2015; 15:49)

2002 Through the rain (53,531) by Hana from UK Watching this old performance of Mariah makes me real sad. She used to be able to command the stage. Mariah is so talented that she could make it in any era if she only had the confidence. And contrary to popular belief, the girl does have rhythm and can move. Elena summarize LA words to some extent, "There is something really wrong with the attitude of the youth from this generation." Look at Kylie Jenner, sadly she represents what teens are doing to legends and icons sleeping on them. The radio is hardly even playing these icons in fear of losing their young core listeners. I for once would love to hear the American book in Mariah voice a la Toni Bennett. It shouldn't be about the hits it should be about making good quality music that will last the one hit wonders. Although he did say there are still many things Mariah can do, but the things he mentioned will forever push Mariah to the "old" category. Which is something I am sure MC wouldn't want, plus to say that another #1 is unrealistic so openly was bad too, I mean does he have to say that to the media? It portrays a bad image that he thinks MC can no longer get a #1. With the right promotion and a good song anyone can really get a #1 now as long as the song goes viral. So I didn't like what he said. Anyways he might however be doing something tricky. Usually Mariah's releases have high expectations because of her previous track record so people get disappointed easily, like what happened to me this time, I had such high expectations for "Infinity", but got disappointed when it released, but thankfully I ended up loving it in a few days. So maybe L.A. is lowering people's expectations to hit them with a massive album and all the talks about covers and duets are maybe so that her fans start petitioning against it and demanding original materials. So I am hoping this is his attempt to lower expectations to later hit them with a hit and that he doesn't really mean what he is saying now. Fingers crossed for this being a publicity stunt. Jimmy Kimmel (53,525) by Lee TS from USA Full performance of the mini concert captured by a fan. And the full interview with Jimmy. Yay, tens across the board. Mariah has her talk show game on. I'm loving the interview, she's being light, funny, poking fun and in on the jokes. I've missed this so much from her. Totally selfish now but she needs to go on Corden, bid farewell to Letterman, and fake laugh it up with Fallon. Kimmel was a slam dunk. (Tuesday 19 May 2015; 14:12)

I don't think J.Lo was deliberately being rude, certainly her applause seemed enthusiastic and she was clearly nodding her head to the beat which would indicate she was into it. The Loverboy debacle was 15 years ago, everyone's moved on, particularly J.Lo and Mariah. Really excited for the video, loved the clip on Ellen and Mariah looked fantastic. From what I gathered, they air 1 and 1/2 or 2 performances and they sometimes air other performances on other nights or on YouTube. We know obviously that VOL and "Infinity" were chosen to air first because it is her first and last single to date. Plus, she is promoting the latter and also both kind of show the beginning to current position of her career. (Tuesday 19 May 2015; 13:33)

Jimmy Kimmel (53,522) by Will from England Perfect performance. Better than the BBMAs. She belted out the last part of VOL like it was nothing, and the high note at the end of Infinity was most certainly live. Did she have some backing track? Yes. Was it 90% live? Yes. Overall, her voice is better than what it was a few months ago. It sounds thicker and rich, compared to how it sounded thin and stuck in a high part of her chords. I don't know the terminology, I'm no expert. Side note, I laughed at the Infinity clip. It was just too funny, with her slamming the door on all those guys. I think the video is going to be the tongue-in-cheek video like TMB. Also, her response to "Do you watch Wives With Knives" was perfect. A good start to the week. (Tuesday 19 May 2015; 13:12)

Finally I've heard Infinity on the car radio here at 4:00 am. She posted on instagram her singing Touch My Body on the Kimmel mini concert (and Roc is so cute clinging to his mom) but I have seen her video where she sang the same medley of the BBMAs (only much better) and no Touch My Body, so I'm confused. My gosh, people should be exposed to this Mariah. Oh and bonus, this time she did the "punching" dance moves at the end of infinity. He gave Billboard an interview and said for radio to just play M is already winning to which I agree. But I don't know, he is very hit or miss and is the "forever picking the wrong second singles" powers that be. The only thing he's got going on for him is Meghan Trainor. Like, poor Ciara with her dismal 19k album debut, the Fifth Harmony girls getting their Billboard performance nixed and it seems like they're taking forever to blow up. Toni's little sister Tamar is like a one hit wonder I suppose, but I still find her hilarious. Well, all that to say if Mariah feels supported and heard as an artist then coolies. The Mariah and JLo "feud" had gone on for a while. You might say JLo started it by stealing Mariah's song. JLo never stole anything, she just sampled the same song Mariah sampled. I think all this could have been orchestrated more by Mottola to instigate the "feud" and retaliate against Mariah. JLo was just a pawn. Mariah fell for it and took JLo as an rival. What #1's should she perform (53,511) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I think Mariah should leave VOL for now in public appearances. It's not appealing to the current music buyers. Yes I am ready to be shot at with arrows by everyone on this board, but after yesterday's performance all songs mentioned namely "Infinity" and WBT started re-charting. VOL was no where to be seen. I personally never (oh my gosh please don't kill me) was a fan of VOL. I tried, I really did, but I couldn't, but I have the utmost respect for this song because 1) It is the song that introduced Mariah to the world. 2) It is the song that has inspired more artists than probably any other song. So yes, but I think it's time Mariah pumps up "Someday", LTT, "Heartbreaker" and "My All" (I know she sings the last 2 a lot, but those were mainly for her own concerts, not the TV shows). It's summer time and "Heartbreaker" is perfect for a feel good song and people can sing along, "My All" and LTT will showcase Mariah's beautiful range and her classic ballad moments "Someday" again will be the sing along anthem to every girl with a broken heart and that note at the end will be the cherry on top. What songs do you think she should use for her upcoming appearances? I am talking about TV shows and music awards and all, not personal concerts, so bear that in mind. The GP has to be hooked in with these more commercial songs and then bang, she can slip in VOL.
