MV (53,808) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ok so I heard all the radio interviews but I seemed to have missed her talking about the music video. Can someone tell me exactly what she said?

MC calling in to "Kyle & Jackie O" and "Fitzy & Wippa" Aussie radio shows (53,807) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
As always, M is showing mad love to the Lambily and Olivia Newton-John. Also she casually broke the news of the Merry Christmas re-release later this year. The Infinity MV is on the way and it might be just hours until we get to see it. I'm excited, these things make me happy.

MV might be released tomorrow (53,806) by Malcolm from Asia
Mariah said in nova969 that the video "might" be release tomorrow.

Out of the Billboard 100? (53,803) by Michele from USA
Is Infinity already out of the Billboard Top 100? The XM Sirius radio channel Heart & Soul has been playing it consistently.

You truly are Mariah's biggest lamb. You're always defending her. Props to you.

Infinity music video (53,801) by Malcolm from Asia
So MC is uploading a video of her "memories (and rants)" from each of her #1 singles from her facebook. As I have noticed, she might upload one video per day and I have a feeling that we might be getting the Infinity MV after all the 18 #1s memory videos are uploaded (that is less than 17 days ). More than 1 month after the single release? That's too much, is there anybody who knows a singer releases his/her MV months after the song released? Well after all, I love Mariah more than that MV so I just hope that it is worth the wait and not a typical MV, it must be something different, fresh, and new. Have a nice day Lambily.

Re: Lamb_O_Chop from Australia (53,800) by MimiLamb from Germany
I couldn't agree more. Of course we don't have to praise Mariah when it's not deserved but that doesn't make it right to stomp her into the ground either. To be absolutely honest I didn't want to post here for the longest time because of the tone of a lot of the messages but I was also afraid I would come across as "too positive". I have Mariah's back in good and in bad days, do I agree with everything she does? Not at all. Do I think she is innocent in everything that happens around her or to her? No. I'm very happy to come here again and not only to read the articles but also to read what people posted on the messageboard. I don't miss the alltime negativity at all. The critique I have been reading is milder and not as harsh then it used to, but with that more relatable and even to a point were I think about it from another perspective. The messageboard has a healthy balans again and I hope it stays like that.

Highlights (53,799) by Luke from United Kingdom
Here's a video of some highlights from her shows. My All sounds so amazing. It's kinda hard to believe how clear her voice is becoming. Is this the third coming of Godriah?

L.A. Reid's comments were blown out of proportions by the media just like many of us feared. JD is not vilified, he just wasn't capable of managing Mariah. Damizza is a cockroach coming out of the woodwork. Nick broke our girl's heart. These type of comments no matter how you and Andrew try to justify them are disrespectful to the others and to Mariah.

Lamb_o_Chop (53,797) by B from USA
They are still here. They just don't have any valid complaints at the moment. They are still claiming she's lipping and that she's lazy because the video to a song that's destroying her legacy that they hate hasn't been released yet. I just no longer read post by recent individuals.

Twitter (53,796) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
People on twitter please just flood Mariah with the hashtag "Where the heck is the video Mariah." Gosh, "Infinity" has gone down to the 600s in iTunes now.

By the same token, it's one thing to be objective and fair concerning Mariah and it's another thing to never have her back on anything (even when she's truly been betrayed or wronged) and only come here to vent negativity. I'll go on record of saying the energy here is much better since many of the pessimist have put themselves out of their misery. Every other fan base has their faves back, when chips are going down, so why shouldn't we?

Still no video (53,794) by Ty from USA
We should all be used to this, say what you want but Benny [..] and [...] Reid got those Mimi videos out one after another, after that record. [...] was late, [...] was dry, [...] never appeared, [...] never appeared, I miss the Mimi era. [...] is the best vocal live she has done in years. If she would have sang this at the [...] she would have gotten a standing ovation [...].

Mariah's pride / TGIFY in Vegas (53,793) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I'm really glad that Mariah isn't one of those artists who are too proud to drop keys when they perform their songs live. I'd much prefer her singing on a lowered arrangement than lip synch pretty much an entire song just because it's harder to for her to replicate it live than it was for her before. With that thought out of the way, I know it's practically gotten universal acclaim here but can we just once again bow down in respect for that stripped down rendition? It's interesting because TGIFY is probably her most maligned #1 and is often considered one of her more forgettable hits. So how ironic is it that she turned it into the night's highlight? Said it before, I'll say it again - it's consistency that she struggles with. On a bad day, Mariah is still a force to be reckoned with. On a good day, she's in a league of her own.

Mariah on the Dan & Max radio show (53,791) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
Dry wit and all. Cute little cameo and nice banter. These things make me happy.

The Damizza arguement (53,790) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why is this even a debate anymore? The man himself has issued statements both personally and through his manager/publicist that he was misquoted, even going so far as to say that he didn't even say those lines. So please tell me again why we are dragging Mariah through dirt when the woman didn't even say one word on this topic.

Baby / Mariah fandom (53,789) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
It can be sad to be the only Mariah fan from where you are, though I think there are others out there, you just have to look. If it's any consolation, it's not like there are a lot of Mariah fans here as well. Most just know her name and associate her with her biggest hits. Although there are hardcore lambs out here who are very active even in social media (I mean, they hold regular gatherings and stuff, they print Mariah shirts out of her latest single/album covers, and even they raised funds to buy Mariah a fan club gift, among others, during her latest tour when she stopped by last October), the masses here usually identify with songs first, then when they like more than a few, they start to become fans of the artist and start following them, and once they do, they're usually extremely loyal. It's not like Mariah's a topic worth discussing here on regular days, but when she releases new material or visits the country, it's amusing to see the "closeted" lambs suddenly come out of the woodwork. Haha.

Seriously, where on earth is the damn video? It's getting annoying. I mean it's been a month since "Infinity" was released. Is this a joke?

Baby / Pinoy Carey-oke (53,787) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
You're welcome, though I think my fellow Pinoy out here explained it better in a shorter way, haha. Anyways, no, it's not like every Filipino here is out belting some Mariah hit, but a lot enjoy just belting out, period - regardless of whose hits they are. I believe the most popular Carey-oke songs here are:
1) Hero (this is everywhere, like if you haven't heard this on the radio, which is impossible, you've probably heard it from your neighbor first)
2) Through The Rain (this is pretty much as huge as Hero here, and it's probably because we are suckers for inspirational sappy ballads)
3) Without You (a lot attempt and of course, fail to emulate Mariah's belting during the chorus - miserably)
4) Love Takes Time (this is better known here than Vision Of Love)
5) Always Be My Baby (probably the most uptempo song on this list, highlighting our overwhelming preference for ballads)
6) My All (most of those who try to sing this eventually end up either straining or lip-synching to the high parts)
7) All I Want For Christmas Is You (naturally)
8) Open Arms (just as known as the Journey version)
9) I Still Believe (another favorite)
10) Can't Take That Away (told you we love us some self-help songs)
11) Endless Love (as popular as the Ross-Richie duet)
12) Thank God I Found You (one of the more popular Mariah song choices for duets)
13) Never Too Far (yes, this is somewhat known thanks to its exposure as a contest piece in televised singing competitions)

Ardis (53,786) by Abraham from USA
I love "Me I am Mariah". It's still my album. "Cry" is classic, love it. "Faded" is okay, not a favorite but I let it play. "Dedicated" is a nice song it's nostalgic. "Beautiful" is amazing. In my opinion Mariah's best single and song so far. "Thirsty" is a cool, fun cut that's catchy. "Make it look good" is awesome. I can't stand "You're mine", sorry. "You don't know what to do" is brilliant. Could have been a hit. I don't like "Supernatural", though it's cute. "Meteorite" is so cool. "Camouflage" is beautiful. "Money" annoyed me at first but I like it now. "One more try" is a nice cover. And last but not least, "Heavenly". She does so well with gospel. The choir in the song is perfect. This is hands down one of her best albums. I hope she can make another great piece of work. I really want Mariah to work with Pharell. *fingers crossed*

Born to sing (53,785) by Mara from United States
Just watching some of those videos of Mariah singing TGIFY and the improv of It's Like That, just reminds me of how this young lady was born to sing and what a gift she was given. Literally she was gifted this voice. She can sing anything with a piano and it mesmerizes people. That is truly a gift. There is no one alive that can do that, no disrespect to some of the greats, but she has so much tone, so much richness. She hypnotized just by opening her mouth. She is at her best when she improvises with a piano. I unfortunately cannot make her Vegas shows in July, but hope she mixes up her songs at the Beacon this December. She is truly amazing. We are lucky to be blessed with a talent like MC. The Taylor Swifts of today do not hold a candle to the young legend that is Mariah Carey.

Andrew / very typical (53,784) by Marcus from Brazil
Andrew, you nailed it on your last post. No matter the facts, anything said about Mariah by people who at some point in time worked with her is a lie. Everybody has been bad to poor innocent miss goody-two-shoes Mariah. L.A. Reid, JD, Damizza, Nick, etc are bad for Mariah. As if Mariah were a little innocent girl who sits on a Barbie pedestal at night. And don't even imply Mariah had sex, she had those babies by divine conception. Mariah is this little 12 year old everybody likes to pick on. When she throw shades at some one, it is ok, she must have a valid reason. When they throw shade at her, she's a victim, and those shaders should be put to death. Most of the fans that kept some sort of balance on this board have gone away or are taking breaks, but one can definitely feel that MCArchives messageboard is not the same without them. Please guys come back, this is getting to "Mariah Daily" up in here.

Missed oppotunities from the past (53,783) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Re: Liz Archer from Sweden. "I don't get why her past albums haven't been more successful." In my opinion there have been a lot of missed opportunities. Mostly I believe it was due many reasons. Maybe it was the label and management not fully being in Mariah's corner, or just not being motivated enough. Maybe Mariah wasn't motivated and had other personal things going on at the time. When "MOAIA" came out I thought for sure "Candy Bling" would have been a huge single. I still play that song and love it so much. Great potential was there for a hot video and all that jazz. Then go back to "E=MC2" many good songs on there too, not to bring up "Migrate" again, but that song could have been huge, if given the same attention that she has been getting recently. Whatever it was, it's all in the past now. I just try to enjoy every moment and right now things for MC are looking pretty good.

"One More Try" (53,782) by Ardis Logic from Earth
I was listening to "Me, I am Mariah" today and when I heard this song again, I just had to post about it. Originally recorded by the amazing George Michael, I remember hearing this song as young kid in the 80's. At the time I thought the song was ok, but I preferred some of his other songs instead. When I heard Mariah's version of it for the first time, it was like a whole new experience. She had me loving this song and singing it all day long in my head. Doing a cover of someone else's record is a big challenge that I think M has mastered. She is truly amazing.

Troof (53,781) by Andrew from UK
Bit typical of this board to annihilate someone because an article claimed someone was less than complimentary about Mariah. Never mind facts or "the truth". Bit like the continuous annihilation of Nick Cannon, despite Mariah never having said anything negative, and the need to try to find "shade" in her songs, about him. On a lighter note, I saw a Mariah Carey CD in a supermarket here today. For sale. For actual money. Hasn't happened since 2008. Kinda cool. She simply needs a killer Pop/Dance track a la Fantasy/Heartbreaker with a video a week later and an album a week after that covered with furious promo and she might pull it off. But what do I or the general populous know? The video for Infinity is awesome, I'm sure. I'm not sure why they bothered filming one, at this point. And what of doing Vegas again next year in the same guise? Who is going to care? I think LA Reid was right about expectancy of Mariah's career. But I think Mariah fans deserve some truth about what they can expect from her future endeavours.
