One more try (61,438) by Giovanni from USA I would hardly call a song like "One more try" soulful. I personally think Mariah did a fairly well job singing the song. There are parts where her voice sounds damaged. But at the end she belts her [censored] off. I think if she had covered the song back in her prime she would have done a much better job. My only problem with "Me I am Mariah" is that there are a few songs that should have never saw the light of day. "You're mine", "Supernatural", "Money" and "One more try". I've grown to like "You're mine" but it could have easily been replaced with "The art of letting go". That song vocally destroys Beyonce, Adele and Ariana. (Wednesday 20 April 2016; 10:27)

MIAMTEC vs Butterfly (61,433) by Edward from USA I might get crucified for this, but I think that MIAMTEC and Butteffly shouldn't be put in the same category. Butterfly for me is on a league of its own. The lyrics, the melodies, the musicality on that album can't be compared to any other album but Daydream. MIAMTEC has some good songs, but it is also kind of depressing and not that cohesive to me. I rarely play it anymore. I think that when Mariah and Nick decided to have a divorce, she scraped most of the songs of the original concept she has to reflect what she was going through with him and the album suffered from that. Butterfly is pure art, not only lyrically but musically. Mariah did really conveyed her truth like she hadn't done it in any other album and the outcome spoke for itself. When I have played Butterfly to people who haven't ever heard it, they all think it is something fresh and new, that's how good it is. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy MIAMTEC when it first came out, but I was also disappointed with some of the song choices. For the first time, in my opinion, Mariah took on a huge and soulful classic favorite of mine, One More Try, and basically mutilated it. I wished for that day, but when it came, it was bittersweet. MIAMTEC unlike Butterfly is dated and the lyrics are complicated rather than poetic. If James could be her muse for the coming of another Butterfly, I would die a happy fan. I was in the audience of a chat show Mariah was on and it was mentioned to her by the host. It was pre social media, YouTube and smartphones. I chose to stop taking this so seriously a while back for many reasons. If it's rude not to tolerate what you consider to be dumb [censored] comments then rude be I, through talk of "I just know Mariah's written another number one" and "she doesn't have to sing live, she's got nothing to prove". Favourite highlights include "she's not fat, you're so rude" followed by "well done for losing weight, Mariah" lmao. I'll keep my grammar and big words though. Them being English words an' all and the language of which I have a reasonable mastery. I flick in here a couple of times a day as there are often really cool, interesting posts. And I think I would hope I am at least interesting although disagreeable. But thanks for the attention, mate, because I be craving it, obviously. Because if you don't sound like a dumb [censored], you're just trying too hard to be insightful lol. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, what on Earth are Stella's kids up to? Has Stella finally bedded MC? Eternally thirsty? (61,430) by RibbonB from USA I find it interesting that many of Marian's peers are making smart moves without all the diva reality show shenanigans. Alicia Keys has a new single coming soon and she will appear on SNL in early May. Beyonce has this surprise lemonade video coming soon along with a new CD and her tour. Even E V E, who has been off the scene for a minute has come back with a new movie after taking a break and getting married. Now she is reportedly touring this sumer with Gwen Stefani. These ladies manage to be relevant, make music without the level of foolery coming from the Stella camp. So far none of her peers have gotten marked on a pay reality show. Shame Mariah has dropped so low to blac rob and Kim K. levels. Those are floundering reality show brands. Mariah will be at the end of this fad just like the Idol fad. (61,426) by Billy from Greece Reminiscing of the moment two years ago when time stopped the first time I heard the opening bars of "Cry." while staring into Mariah's eyes in the cover of the Japanese edition of "The Elusive Chanteuse". Definitely a re-awakening of sensations and a re-introduction of Mariah the musician. For those still waiting for the sequel of the "Butterfly" album, you will find it in "Me. I Am Mariah". "One Sweet Day" remake from Zach Sings Mariah (61,424) by ZachSingsMariah from USA Dear lambily, while I am finishing editing the rest of the footage from my Mariah tribute show this past Sunday, I want to go ahead and share this video of my recreation of "One Sweet Day" (the Sweet A Cappella version from the '96 single, to be exact). I was honored to sing this alongside the Vanderbilt Melodores, who won the 2014 season of NBC's The Sing-Off. Also, I am singing it in MC's original octave. She looked quite draggy in those pics she shared recently, and that is no shade to drag queens in any way (they're great), but that is no compliment to Mariah either, a beautiful woman who, incomparable talent aside, is also known for her femininity. Meet & Greet in Zürich (61,420) by Philipp from Switzerland So, I met Mariah yesterday at the Meet&Greet. After all the horrible stories I read on this messageboard, my friend and I developed a strategy. We told each other that we can't get starstruck and we can't cry in front of her. We said we would just start talking to her even if our time is up. And so we did and I'm telling you it was amazing. We showed her our signs and she said she already saw it on stage and liked it a lot. Then she said she loved my t-shirt and even called Stella to look at it. Then we posed for the picture with her and after that I told her about my engagement at her Christmas show in New York last December. Stella and her kids also took pics of our signs. Stella then asked me if I would give my shirt to Mariah, since I'm a dedicated fan so I took my shirt off and gave it to her. Lol. Mariah saw me shirtless haha. (Tuesday 19 April 2016; 10:54)

She needs to continue to work on her voice and the best way to do that is to be on tour now that she has decided to be more disciplined about it. She also needs to reconnect with her international fans. How long has it been since she has toured in certain locations if at all. Add as many dates as possible now that there seems to be an interest in people going to see her. I'm not sure how it could work. Not sure about the make-up either. She looks more like catwoman than Bianca. It didn't look like a professional pic though so I'll be forgiving. New music / SSF tour extension (61,417) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It has already been somewhat confirmed that Mariah is bringing the SSF tour to South America. Stella said it before, her dancers confirmed to an Argentinian fan that she will be there in August I think (August or October) I forgot. So with that in place, and the Vegas summer leg and then her summer wedding, Beacon in December, I don't think she'll have time to release an album or even if she does will she ever have time to actually give a decent promo tour to it to support it? I see no point in releasing new stuff and then just abandoning it. I really want her to back up her work when she releases it this time around. It's turning out to be one of her busiest years. She also has the reality show coming, for which she might need to do more promos. Anyways Mariah said she would release a single "soon", but "soon" in Mariah's world may be anything from 2 years delayed (MIAM) to never seeing the light of the (Why You Mad song/video release) haha. Let's hope she has some surprises up her sleeves. I am craving some new Mariah music. (Tuesday 19 April 2016; 1:07)

I'd be happy if it does but it might actually be for the best if it doesn't. She needs to promote like crazy when she finally drops the new single and album. I don't want the wedding or a never-ending honeymoon to get in the way of that. We don't want another E=MC2 situation when she disappeared off the planet after marrying Nick. Her schedule needs to be absolutely clear. I want a successful single but I want a #1 album even more. A legend of her stature should be able to achieve that easily but for some reason she hasn't had one for nearly a decade. Everything needs to be perfect. I'm enjoying the hype though. I used to actually stupidly defend Andrew before when he used to make some good points (even though back then he still seemed like he was always hating on Mariah) but stopped once he started abusing people on this board left and right. I had finally decided to ignore him completely but dude just kept trying to rile me up. He is starting to come off as someone who doesn't get enough attention at home and so he comes here and tries to rile up people by abusing them just so someone would talk to him. It's pathetic that he comes here and calls people stupid, psycho and all those colorful words. With his lack of social media skills it is clear he doesn't know how people can see pictures just by "following" the person and do not have to be an aggressive stalker. Andrew probably doesn't even care about or believe in stuff he writes here, he just does it to stir up drama. And you guys are right, the best course is to go back to ignoring him.
