What do you think based on this reenactment? Ginger is Mimi the Marilyn prototype, but who is Giligan?

Ginger is a glamorous woman from showbiz who always wants to seduce the men on the island for different purposes and being cunning to get what she wants. Watch a video of Ginger Grant on YouTube you'll get it.

A No No (85,517)
by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway

I really like the updated sound on this new album. Even though it seem like the public is mostly ignoring it, Mariah is in the lime light, and I am sure the critics will love the album. They push the album as it was a success, and I like that. No matter what, the name Mariah Carey sells, and now people go to her concerts again. Here in Norway the concert in Stavanger almost sold out after a week. There are still tickets, but far away from the stage. It's too expensive for me to go since I'm a student, but I saw her in Oslo in 2016, so happy with that.

I'm glad I Don't and the others didn't make it into the album. She needs to put that whole era behind her. I wonder if she'll keep drip feeding songs so that we end up having the entire album on November 16.

If it isn't, we'll be here 5 years down the line still complaining about it, like we do for "Migrate".

I absolutely loved the song. This is exactly what I was hoping for. It sounds fresh but at the same time it sounds like it pays homage to some of her older songs that I love. Sound wise "Cruise Control", TMB, and like someone from the listening party said "SIO on steroids". Lyrics wise it reminds me of her more boss babe/diss tracks. Like "Obsessed", SIO and Someday/Prisoner (mostly because of the "I'm too good for you" vibes) and of course we have the club feels of "Migrate". If they don't release this as the next single with a proper push and music video (and do lambs dirty like Migrate) I will riot. The Shapiro line is iconic and fierce. My other favorites are "Snakes on the grass, it's time to cut the lawn". and "irregardless of what transpired, it ain't even worthy of a slick reply". And of course the boss babe "I'll be on the stage with the stadium light up" gives me "I'm the press conference, you're a conversation" vibes. I think this whole track is directed at Stella, since Stella was the snake and isn't worth her attention or a slick reply. And also because even after Stella tried to ruin Mariah's reputation, she's still out there selling out venues for concerts.

It seems like this album will be a little like E=MC2 in that it seems like a good collection of singles. I am a little bummed out at there being only 10 tracks. I know a lot of people wanted that here but for me, the more the songs the more MC I get and even most of the fillers are often very satisfying. I wish there atleast 10 because it feels like we've nearly heard half the album already.
I am particularly looking forward to hearing Portrait, the traditional introspective closer we have come to expect from an MC album. Seems like that might have some indepth song writing that the currently released songs are missing. Did the Diane Warren song make this highly selective 10 song cut? Seems tough unless it is Portrait. Also looking forward to the Blood Orange number (one rumour that was true). Lastly I'm hoping some of the album tracks cross over the 3:30 min mark otherwise Caution will be a 30 minute album the way things are going.
Excited and hopeful.

Caution tracklist (85,508)

So we're back to the early 90s when 10-11 tracks were enough to constitute most albums including Mariah's. It would be really great if the remaining 6 unreleased songs were just as awesome as those we have heard so far, and would stay unheard until the proper release date. I feel like I Don't would be somehow tacked on there as a bonus track. That'd be odd.

It's so crazy to me that I don't know any words to With You. I normally latch on and learn her slower tempo songs first, but this one didn't take. I know every word to GTFO and The Distance though. I need to listen to No No No, but I'm trying to wait until the album release. I probably won't make it though.

If the only part that irked me about the song. I pretended she said it's regardless. Yup, that's what she said. Ed's explanation of it being a Mean Girls reference makes perfect sense. Like her I can't even know what to say phrase. The lyrics are clever, fun, and the arrangement is catchy. I wouldn't mind this as a single at all. Throw on Lil Kim and/Cardi B on the remix.

Mimi L, I've been patiently waiting to hear a club banger/bop and I finally got one. Her voice sounds good on the track and I love the shady lyrics. My favorite part? "No no no no no no no no no. Get me Ed Shapiro (lawyer) on the phone case closed. I love this song as well. It will be on repeat all day tomorrow."

It has the hi hat that he is known for. Plus she has worked with young new producers and he would be the only one that would sample an overused sample from the 90s (Lil Kim, SWV). It works really well and it's my favorite song so far. It's available now on iTunes and her YouTube page. Looks like they are continuing to reveal songs to show she has a strong body of work and win over the young kids using social media since they only know her for her shade and "that Christmas song". This shady club kiss off is a bop and perfect for the clubs. I like all the songs so far.
