About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: My All (101,253) (101,255) by Bobby A from United States
Thank you, Eric. Wow. That was the R&B group Next's only number one pop hit.

My All (101,253) by Bobby A from United States
I listened to Butterfly last night. Mariah's tone on the Butterfly album is mesmerizing and captivating. My All came on and for the life of me I can't remember what song caused My All to only spend one week at number one. Does anyone know what song knocked My All out of the number one spot? If I am not mistaken, My All had a slow ride in the top ten before it rose to number one. By the way, this has been the best week ever on the board in a long time reminiscing about the Butterfly album. Here's to the new era that officially began on 09/16/2022. Got to capture the pre-era moments too.

Re: If Butterfly single was released (101,243) (101,245) by Bobby A from United States
I was thinking last night that Breakdown should been the follow up single to Honey and then My All. Breakdown was such a great cross between R&B and hip hop. I heard Breakdown and Butterfly both on radio station K-97 in Memphis, TN for at least 3 months. The funny thing is that they wouldn't play The Roof during that time period.

Re: New projects (101,237) (101,242) by Bobby A from United States
It looks like 2023 is going to have four album releases.
1. An album for a documentary or series
2. A theme album
3. Somebody's Else Daughter album
4. MC16
I just wonder if the theme album will be similar to Jasmine Sullivan's Heaux Tales or Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope. It would be cool if the theme album was the soundtrack to a major movie in 2023. Somebody's Else Daughter will probably be released during the summer followed by MC16 in the fall. I am excited for 2023. Maybe that's the reason for the move back to New York.

What. I went to the website this morning at 3am and received an error message.

How do you order the new vinyl and cassette? They are not on MC's website.

Re: The 8 "new" tracks (101,212) (101,216) by Bobby A from United States
I look at it this way. The two vinyl releases and cassette are going to worth some money 15 years from now. I am curious to hear all of the tracks.

Re: Butterfly 25 (101,202) (101,203) by Bobby A from United States
Let's hope that the physical CD is made available on her website Friday with the Honey vinyl and cassette.

3. New Honey video documentary
4. Classic live performances

MC just tweeted a 36 second video with all of these goodies happening on 9/16. Those who wait are rewarded. Lol.

Atlanta home (101,188) by Bobby A from United States
It looks like MC is making plans to be a full-time New Yorker again. Maybe she is in the beginning stages of recording MC16.

The Clark Sisters (101,184) by Bobby A from United States
I just remembered that Dornda Clark Cole said on Facebook that The Clark Sisters did something with MC. Hopefully it was used on whatever is coming this week.

Randy, it is going to be interesting as to what MC is going to announce this week.

Re: Butterfly 25 (101,168) (101,170) by Bobby A from United States
I think that she is going to drop it digitally first and then the following week the physical release will drop or be available to pre-order. For sure, we will know when it shows up on Target's website. That seems to be the trend lately.

A Charmbraclet jewel (101,160) by Bobby A from United States
I put in my 2020 SD card into my music player tonight at the gym. Guess what played in my rotation? Clown. Probably has the best lyrics on CB.

Re: Toni Braxton (101,146) (101,148) by Bobby A from United States
Toni's last two album releases, Spell My Name and Sex and Cigarettes, are great albums as well. I have a rare vinyl copy of Spell My Name. I am really sad too about no Butterfly 25th anniversary album.

Re: Butterfly announcement? (101,138) (101,141) by Bobby A from United States
It's probably for the best right now until she can come up with a new sound by experimenting with some new young producers. I really can't think of any one producer that has really dominated the pop and R&B charts this year. Most songs this year have all sounded the same. Radio has been quite boring this year. Let's see if Taylor Swift changes my mind with Midnights on October 21. She has really been on a creative journey during the past 3 years. I would like MC to create a new album that takes her back to her beginnings focusing on her songwriting skills.

Butterfly announcement? (101,137) by Bobby A from United States
Fall is the time artists and record labels release new albums, complications, Christmas albums, and boxsets. I find it very odd that MC has not made an announcement about Butterfly's 25th anniversary release. September 16th is next week. Something must be happening with her label. Do we even know what label she is on anyway? Epic? RCA? Maybe she is dealing with a lot like Nick's baby announcements, backlash from her Queen of Christmas trademark application, and her Atlanta [home] being burglarized. I think that a new original pop ballad or remake released and hitting #1 on the Hot 100 would put a smile on her face. If only MC listened to me. Lol.

Endless Love (101,114) by Bobby A from United States
The live concert version of this song is truly awesome. MC was truly at her best during her vocal prime years of 1993-1998. You knew when she used her hand she was about to give us some gorgeous live vocals.

Re: New music (101,106) (101,107) by Bobby A from United States
MC's speaking voice has gotten deeper too. When is the Global concert event? It is going to be interesting how she sounds live in 2022.

Re: Butterfly 25 (101,095) (101,098) by Bobby A from United States
I really believe this is really the actual tracklisting. Reddit is reporting a 2 disc set with the original Butterfly album and the new tracklisting. MC is really making a statement that I am the Vocal Queen and the original Dance Queen. Notice how MC chose Halle Bailey over Chloe Bailey for Breakdown. Must be a subtle shade to Beyonce and her protégé Chloe. We should know after September 2nd with be listed many retailers website when the album is coming out. Who knows, maybe the Jumpsmokers Remix album will be a bonus disc. Good times are on the way.

This is wonderful news. I like the fact that there are some demos to songs she has written for other artists.

Re: Negativity (101,061) (101,062) by Bobby A from United States
Lol. Stacey, I am a middle school special education teacher. I see and hear everything. I have two small group classes and three co-teaching classes with a control freak. He treats me like I am his assistant teacher. You know I live for the weekends by Friday. Anyway, we are just ready for a new album from MC. At least when she posted pictures in the studio, we knew something was on the way. She doesn't do that anymore.
