Ya wait until at the end of the series it's revealed that after several heartbreaks from dudes Mariah is now dating Stella. I'm calling it right now hahaha. Also how annoying was it that Stella had the nerves to go off on Danielle and tell her she's outta line when Stella was the one continuously flipping her middle finger and using the F word on Danielle?

After watching Mariah's World, and if any of it is true, I'm really surprised that an A-list celeb like Mariah would even put up with such a rowdy and chaotic team. I mean Stella is continuously throwing fits, messing up, others are fighting and going at each other and Mariah is there either on stage or counseling her employees. Celebs spend so much money on big teams so that they themselves don't have to take a lot of stress and instead focus on their craft, and of course just see that her team is doing what they were supposed to do (like you mentioned). But the picture that MW is painting is that she has this whole mismanaged amateur team who are all up on each other and messing stuff up and eventually Mariah is having to go around and calming them down. It's weird.

You really don't, you can actually mistaken this for any of her other recent interviews. No straight answers, questions avoided by talking about her shoes and decor, no actual mention of what she is actual promoting (unless of course you take into consideration that she said "I want people to watch the show and find out" when Andy asked about Bryan).

Thoughts on WWHL (70,085)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

1) Living for the Demi shade. This is probably the first time in forever that Mariah addressed a question head on and I appreciate that she gave Demi a read and that too with top notch class. Demi's attack on Mariah was uncalled for. 2) Cringed at the Ariana shade. I am no fan of Ariana, I find her annoying and well don't like her in general, but I do enjoy some of her songs, I'll be honest. I think Mariah really didn't need to add more smoke to fire about her not liking Ariana. 3) She speaks fondly of Beyonce and that Dembabies get along great with Blue Ivy (I'm sure North West is out there throwing daggers for glares right about now haha). 4) I'm a little annoyed as usual by Mariah constantly going off tangent and avoiding questions. Her going on about the decor and her ensemble whenever she wants to avoid questions. Even Andy looked annoyed haha. 5) Mariah's comment about how she won't talk about the truth about her and Tanaka because she wants people to watch the show just cements the fact that it is indeed a scripted show, in case some of y'all "real" *cough delusional cough* fans were thinking this is the real deal. The only way she'll come out looking good about this possible "cheat-ation" (in Wendy's words, please don't censor it Eric, haha I know it's not a real word) story line is if it is revealed that Tanaka is gay or that James was abusive and Tanaka came in to protect Mariah.

Re: Trey Lorenz? Blurred face (70,079) (70,084)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

To be fair, I think Brenda is just pissed off that Mariah has distanced herself from her. Mariah can't possible take "advantage" of her friends because to do that, her friends need to be able to have something she doesn't. All of Mariah's friends are just her employees and these people are not public figures and have nothing to offer her apart from what they are employed to do. Why Trey Lorenz chose not to sign off on being on the show is also a mystery to me and if it's because he doesn't want the drama then more respect to him. I mean if the fact that he stuck with Mariah through thick and thin for so long wasn't enough for me to respect him, then this would seal the deal. But ya I don't see how Mariah can take "advantage" of her friends. I'd understand if this was said about Taylor Swift and her squad, all of them seem to have an agenda to use each others fame to collectively boost their image, but in Mariah's case it's completely different. If anything her employees take advantage of her, as we can see with Stella and some others before her.

So the popular YouTuber Patrick Starr posted this video on his channel with some other YouTubers dancing and "festivating" (as Mariah calls it) to AIWFCIY. This song is just so festive.

MW episode 3 : Mimi L review (70,069)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
1) The SIO snippet at the beginning made me go back and listen to it a couple of times. Love that song. 2) Love Mariah's ensemble in the scene where Mary Ann is still complaining about Anthony. Mariah is in her Ms Weiss mode, giving out free therapy sessions to her employees. 3) Ugh Marah in that denim jacket, vision of perfection. She looks like her 2013 self. If nothing else, this show will at least have some of Mariah's best looks. She looks so beautiful in every shot. 4) If only Stella would take some of the more damaging rumors and bring those to Mariah instead of ones that are not even believable (they were discussing the rumor about Mariah wanting endangered species at her wedding). 5) Love that they used some footage from WBT and SIO performances. I want these more than the Stella and Molly drama. 6) So is Stella just hiring one inexperienced employee after another? She hired this new inexperience hairstylist for Mariah because she had some beef with Danielle. 7) Ok so apparently the reason Danielle was left out was because she was asking for a lot of money and causes a lot of drama. Rich seeing Stella talking about others causing drama. Side note: Mariah did her own hair after she was fed up with the new inexperienced Larry. 8) Anthony brings up how some of Mariah's former employees are talking trash about Stella. And Stella goes like she is very protective of Mariah because she's seen her former teams and no one cared about Mariah, they had a self serving agenda and they just cared about the lifestyle and making money. I'm like, Stella, girl, are you talking about yourself? There is another scene where Mariah gets an article that paints Stella in a negative light and Stella goes into a "women empowerment" speech in her talking head session. 9) So half of the episode is about Stella and her getting angry about the articles and her threatening to sue people and all the crap. And now Molly is back again so I'm expecting the next half to be about Molly. Seriously why is there more footage of Stella's assistant than there is of Mariah. She isn't even directly involved with Mariah. 10) The scene about Stella's competent team not knowing there's a time difference between countries. After so many mess ups I still don't get why Mariah thinks Stella is a good manager. 11) Danielle: "If I was Stella, I would have probably known that there's an hour time difference." I love Danielle already. 12) Mariah is walking on stage after being an hour late while the crowd is booing and Mariah goes "Am I being booed really?" and Stella goes "no they are not booing, no they're not, no they're not, no they're not". Haha probably exactly what Stella tells Mariah on a regular basis with all the recent embarrassing moments. 13) It's nice to see Mariah being very apologetic that she's late and she talks about how she hopes she can win her fans back after making them wait for so long and talks about how it's her job to give them a good experience. Then she goes on stage and asks "Do you forgive me?" It was cute. 14) Tanaka talking for the 10th time (in this episode alone) about how he hopes to have a conversation with Mariah and catch up. Dude lay off, she's engaged. Stop being thirsty. 15) Kris Buckle is just hilarious. His scene about him talking about how his dad thought he's having an affair with Mariah when he first started working for her because why else would she fly him around the world. Then the other scene with him and Danielle having to share a bed and Kris going into a country accent. He's hilarious, I can see why he gels well with Mariah. "Sleep next to the hussy." Dead. 16) Danielle: "The thing with Stella is she's always so loud, I don't know if she has a hearing problem or anything." Danielle, girl, I can't. "Stella she thinks she's part of the Russian mafia, and I'm the Italian mafia, and in history the Italians are much stronger than the Russians." Historical mess haha. Can't believe Stella is going off on Danielle after Danielle called Stella out for continuously flipping the middle finger and using the F word a lot on Danielle. Stella girl, calm down. 17) Stella trying to get Danielle fired and talking about bringing in "new people, new energy". Mariah rolling her eyes at that and saying "Larry was new" and then rolling over and giving her back to Stella haha. Stella finally realizes Mariah won't fire Danielle so she goes to plan 2 and says she won't add to Mariah's stress and that she's willing to do anything for Mariah even if she doesn't like the person. I think Danielle low key called Stella a punk. Also saying how it shouldn't be "The Stella Show" all the time. 18) Mariah having another successful therapy sessions this time with Danielle and Stella. Side note Stella went on about how there shouldn't be a "girl on girl crime", first of all Stella, look up "crime" in the dictionary. Secondly Danielle's expression to that line, priceless. Mariah just asked if they're willing to work on it, Danielle said "yes" but of course Stella needs more screen time so she goes on a monologue. Stella talking about how the only reason Danielle wasn't brought on tour was because of her agent's issue and nothing personal, but in the beginning of the episode Stella clearly talked about how she'd rather Mariah do her own hair than have Danielle back and also about how she doesn't like Danielle. So what is the truth?

Article: Mariah Carey's reality show was re-edited (70,022)

Called it the moment I saw that lame scene. So I want to know how this is still considered a "docu-series" and not straight up scripted reality show with down right pathetic disregard for timeline.

Carpool Karaoke (70,003)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

I was so pleasantly surprised that James planned on this for so long. Getting almost all big names from Adele to Sir Elton John to dance and groove to this song, brilliant. I was so proud of Mariah's songwriting that it transcends generation and there is hardly anyone who doesn't know the song or doesn't like it. I hope this goes viral (and there is a good chance it will because it has everyone from the youngsters - Selena, Demi, Nick to the established artists - Gaga, Stefani, to straight up legends - Sir Elton John). I wish Justin Bieber was also included but hey, the line up was already awesome. Seems like Madonna and JLo decided to sit this one out, especially JLo, because Madonna's one was shot after Mariah's so obviously she wasn't in it, but JLo probably said no, or maybe Corden didn't even bother asking. Anyways I hope this also helps AIWFCIY to reach a new peak, in addition to it already doing so well in airplay and streaming. I will however have to agree that Mariah was super stiff and it was weird because everyone (even Elton John, who is much older) was dancing and grooving away. I mean come on now how can you not groove to that song Mariah? I don't know why Mariah sometimes has that posture where she seems like there is an invisible neck brace on her, that keeps her neck stiff. Also dahlin' even though we knew that she has a bra underneath, it almost looked like she was naked under the jacket haha. The left boob was almost aiming for emancipation.

In all honesty, even though it's believable that she might have altered her age on paper, I don't think it's her doing. Maybe it was just Sony's decision to do it. After all back then she was really young and really didn't have much idea about how show business worked.

Personally, the age doesn't bother me, however Eric's explanation seems to make sense. You know how in stores they price things 19.99$ because in consumers' minds that somehow seems to be lower than having to pay $20, when really the difference is just 0.01, almost negligible. It's psychological pricing. So in show business, where age is everything, the question is that "it's just one year". It's more like "Oh she was from the 60's" instead of "she's from the 70's". So saying "from 60's" makes her sound older. Whereas the gap is just 1 year.

I think the reason for her not co-headlining the tour is that maybe until she isn't done with her Caesar's contract, she might not be able to headline a show in the States during. There might be a clause or something.

If anything, she sounded stupid by making that statement. Even people like Selena Gomez and Miley and Ariana and Justin are trying to steer away from 12 year old fans who want them to be Disney like and instead focus on a little older audience. Like late teens to mid 20s. Saying that a 47 year old woman is trying to appeal to 12 year old kids as her main audience and that's why Mishka is perfect is her just trying (and failing) to cover her behind up.

Ya Randy Jackson. Maybe she wasn't asking for advice, Randy probably just told her what he felt. She decided she doesn't wanna hear it. Good thing though, people (fans and casuals) are so busy getting annoyed at Stella that Mariah is really being the least of the divas on the show. 2 parts down 8 more to go. I'll have to agree with Special K and say that although the show isn't bad (and no I didn't expect it to be a train wreck because I knew Mariah was too self conscious to be completely real on camera), I did find myself getting bored mid way between both the shows. Maybe because there is so little about Mariah and so much about Molly, Mary Anne and Stella. Last episode had like 4-5 long scenes of Molly, I'd instead much prefer longer footage from the show. Or Mariah's rehearsals or even her just laying on her chaise long that have to watch Stella play games with Molly, Molly giving stupid interviews and Stella acting like she's the boss. Side Note: The Randy Jackson conversation wasn't an interview. Wendy brought it up during the Hot Topics section while talking about Mariah's World. She met him backstage at some event apparently.

It's a review/thoughts post. I wrote it for people who don't watch the show but maybe want to get and idea about what is being shown. It's not like all the points were negative. Infact most of the stuff I said about Mariah were positive, with the exception of the Bryan rendezvous which was extremely odd. The only negative points were about Stella, especially her talking about Mariah appealing to 12 year old kids and hogging the camera time. Maybe you should read it properly instead of thinking I wrote 10 points criticizing Mariah and the show. I have mentioned in my previous post too that the show isn't bad. Some of y'all just get too butt hurt everytime there is the slightest criticism.
