About Dove from United States:

Play that Song video (111,576) by Dove from United States
I like it. It's simple but she looks beautiful and that house is really nice. I like her boots. I bought some like that but they were knock offs from Shein so they were very uncomfortable. I could only stand in them for a few minutes. Ha ha.

Black and white videos usually look so classic and timeless. Everyone looks their best in black and white. I guess she really is dating that dude. I hope he treats her well. I wouldn't say this is one of my favorite videos but it's better than no video. I like the song and their voices together.

I kind of wish she was wearing a longer coat. Maybe like a black trench coat. And that the shorts were a little longer. I'm over the underwear look. At least she has the body for it though. I'm thankful for whatever videos we get and I'm thankful for the ensembles. I see it like in The Devil Wears Prada, the clothes are art too.

HFIA initial reaction (111,549) by Dove from United States
I listened to it at midnight when it came out and I don't know why but I cried. I did come and read everyone's reviews right after, I couldn't help myself. I can't wait to spend more time with it and have better formed opinions to share.

I really like the Associated Press interview with Leslie Ambriz someone posted. Thank you for posting.

Negative reviews (111,481) by Dove from United States
That's true. Most of her albums have had crap reviews but every single one is a 10/10. Even Charmbracelet, which I consider to be her weakest album, is better than most people's best album.

Touring (111,480) by Dove from United States
I think she should stop touring too. She needs to rest. I love seeing her on stage in her magical, glittery ensembles but I would rather she rest and spend her time with her kids and release a studio album once in a while. For the art and fun of it. I mean, they're fourteen. In a few years they'll start their own lives. She should cherish every moment.

Growing up, my mom never worked. I remember feeling so safe knowing my mom was always home. Even if I was being a brat or too cool for my mom I loved knowing she was there if I needed her. Not every mother has the luxury of being able to stay home most of the time.

She could still connect with fans through social media and doing public appearances sparingly. She could keep the Christmas residency going since it's only a few weeks out of the year.

Just my thoughts. That's what I would do.

Heavenly is one of my favorite songs. Ha ha ha. Beauty is in the ear of the listener.

Article: Mariah Carey was the "worst" celebrity guest on Mafiathon 3 (111,478) by Dove from United States
I didn't want to give Tai any more airtime but this quote of yours is spot on. Ha ha.

"Mariah has been extra stiff ever since, probably from sitting in that ridiculously low, unglamorous chair. That wasn't even a proper gaming chair, it looked like a punishment. Come on. If you're going to invite a legend, treat her like one."

Kelly Clarkson Show (111,453) by Dove from United States
I'm kind of bummed out she's not going on the Kelly Clarkson show. One time my brother and I were watching Kelly, in an interview or something, and my brother said I acted like her. I know she's a Taurus, like me. I can get along with most people, but the few times people haven't liked me, it's usually been fire signs.

A long time ago when Kelly won American Idol she went on Oprah's show and Oprah was super rude to her. She kept talking over her and wouldn't even look at her. Oprah is also a fire sign. It was very obvious she didn't like her.

I grew up watching Oprah. When I was a broke college student I would even set aside money from my very small grocery store budget to buy her magazine. Oprah probably wouldn't like me either. That makes me so sad. I was a devoted book club member.

Then when Kelly was super pregnant and started crying during her performance on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez was looking at her like she was disgusted by her. She's also a fire sign. If she doesn't like Kelly she wouldn't like me. I don't care too much about her, though.

I know Kelly adores Mariah and she's in her top favorite artists of all time. Back when Kelly was on American Idol, the contestants had a profile online with their favorite artists. Kelly had Mariah Carey and Reba McIntyre as hers. She would sing the songs Mariah had covered since she wasn't allowed to sing actual Mariah Carey songs. But she was respectful and sang them differently.

I know Kelly is a huge lamb like I am. She's only a little older than me. After my brother said that I acted like her I started seeing myself in her more. She's more of a down-to-earth celebrity, than a glitzy superstar like Mariah, but she's still famous.

She's always wanted to do a song with Mariah and it still hasn't happened. I would say she's as famous as Ariana. And now she's not even going on her show. How often does Mariah have new projects to promote these days?

If she didn't feel comfortable singing, I'm sure Kelly wouldn't make her. She seems loyal and like a good friend. All those other shows she's going on are not as big of fans as Kelly. Kelly said she used to read the liner notes while listening to her albums like we did. When she auditioned for American Idol she knew Randy Jackson because of the liner notes.

I guess I'm just super sensitive right now and am taking it personally because if Mariah doesn't like Kelly, she probably wouldn't like me. I think I'm projecting.

Thank you for reading my heartfelt and probably embarrassing rant.

Article: Mariah Carey was the "worst" celebrity guest on Mafiathon 3 (111,439) by Dove from United States
Why else would a star go on a show if not for promo? Honestly, he was the one who seemed disorganized. I gave him a pass because they're young and it's a YouTube show but that was not a nice thing to say.

Article: Mariah bluntly reacts to Nick Cannon co-parenting question (111,438) by Dove from United States
I don't like how Nick's baby mommas are listed by name sometimes when there's a story about Mariah. Is that necessary? It rubs me the wrong way. It's like, they're forever linked to Mariah now because Nick can't keep it in his pants. I could see if it was a story about him but this story is not about him.

HFIA (111,326) by Dove from United States
I'm a little bummed because I'm going to be super busy the weekend the album comes out and won't be able to listen to it the way I wanted to at the same time you guys are. I wanted to listen to it all the way through a few times (like in the old days) before I form solid opinions about it.

I may steer clear of message boards and reviews before I listen and decide how I feel about it myself.

I remember when Mariah went to Jamaica in 2015. I watched the clips before I came here to read everyone's posts. I thought she sounded so amazing and looked so beautiful. Then I came here and everyone was roasting her. It kind of did influence my opinion, I think.

So I'm going to take a little break from here when it comes out (even though I really want to know what everyone else has to say) so that I can get to know it one-on-one.

Packer (111,316) by Dove from United States
When I was growing up my mom and grandma were super religious. I was too. I bought some astrology books in a yard sale when I was like 13. I got really into it. I would meet people and see if their personalities matched with what their planet placements said about them (if I knew their planet placements). When my mom found my stash (of books) she threw them all out. I took a long break but it always remained a secret interest of mine.

As I got older I became more spiritual than religious but I still always pray because I like having a relationship with God. I will pray for you that you will choose the path that will benefit your life the best.

Packer (111,299) by Dove from United States
Scorpios are natural detectives. I was once on a dating app for three days and my Scorpio female friend found out everything about a guy I went on a few dates with. Even what the inside of his house looked like (from when it was listed for sale before he bought it). She found so much information about him with very little. I think I just knew his name and his birthday. She always has the tea before anyone else at work too. She's low-key and quiet but she notices everything and people just tell her stuff. It's crazy. She doesn't like everyone so I'm thankful to have her as a friend. She's very loyal too. Scorpios and Geminis are supposed to be the "bad guys" of the zodiac but they're my favorite. I'm a Taurus.

Lip syncing (111,292) by Dove from United States
I think I'm both. I relate to the Rainbows and Butterflies aspect, but I have been a fan since 1990. I was a kid but I can say I've lived through all of her eras.

Right and the OG's. I was grouping "OG's" with Lambs since "Lambs" are Mariah Carey fans. But we can make a separate category.

My prayer (111,271) by Dove from United States
Me too. That's my biggest prayer for Mariah. That she will meet her soul mate and they will be happy and content for the rest of their lives. Someone like Tina Turner's second husband. You could tell he adored her. Mariah writes a lot of songs about love so I think deep inside it's what she truly desires.

I honestly prefer when she lip syncs nowadays. At least I know it'll sound good. The only people who notice are the lambs and the haters.

JD interview on The Breakfast Club (111,107) by Dove from United States
Thanks for sharing.

I would be interested in listening to a full hip-hop album with MC rapping. I see her as a musical genius and I've never been disappointed by her music. I'm curious to see what her full, unrestrained, creative expression would sound like. It may not do amazingly well on the charts but she's already done that. Like I always say, authenticity is the highest vibration. She just needs to let the audience know what it is beforehand so they know what to expect. Like when Taylor Swift switched from country to pop and made an announcement about it.

Article: Busta Rhymes makes raunchy plea to Mariah Carey (111,102) by Dove from United States
They're at a party. I rarely drink, but the few times in my life when I have, I've acted a fool with my friends and it was fun. I don't think we should scrutinize every little part of her life. She's allowed to have fun and act a fool with her friends at a party after winning a big award. We actually don't know if she's on any medication - it's all speculation.

Mariah is an intelligent person and if she thinks Busta's words were inappropriate, she'll handle it. As we've seen in the past, she doesn't have a problem cutting people out of her life.

I would hate to be famous. The only good thing about it (IMO) is the wealth that usually comes with it.

Golden ensemble and boots (111,091) by Dove from United States
I love the golden ensemble because I love a crystal beaded moment. It seemed appropriate because it's MTV and she's pretty much winning a lifetime achievement award. It's both casual and over-the-top at the same time.

I think she had a different dress planned for when she accepted her award, but since it was given to her before the show, she didn't get to show it.

I agree that the longer length on the jumper looks better. Also, the longer sleeves threw off the balance. I prefer the shorter sleeves like the blue and purple one at Brighten Pride and the black one from Capital's Summertime Ball.

Overall, I really like it. It's different than anything she's worn in her other eras and nobody else is wearing that silhouette right now. (That I can think of.) I loved the boots but I think the taller ones look better.

I'm looking forward to a Mrs. Clause sparkly moment in this silhouette. But with over the knee boots. Maybe she needs to have them custom made so that they're taller.
