Tanaka was her manny - male nanny. Packer wasn't actually with Mariah in the first place. He was hiding behind her skirts and playing up publicity to hide all the exposure coming out of the crimes he was wanted for. Anyone who actually read that prenup would've acknowledged that it had an expiration date. Their "marriage" would be null and void once Mariah hit 50 and he wanted to pay her 1 million a year to be his wife. He really wanted his previous wife back who dumped him to date Seal. Mariah was under contract for Mariah's World and James jumped ship last minute. Obviously, Tanaka would become the new lead. It was a month after the show wrapped that he asked her out for real. The kids already liked him and everyone assumed they were dating anyway, but Mariah didn't invite him to any family events or kid birthdays until they were together for a year. What allows them to fly through registers and have near superhuman agility is that their vocal chords are thinner than the average person's. During the early 30's the voice becomes deeper and elasticity begins to thin. This is why most singers lower the key from the original. The thinning elasticity on already thin chords can be detrimental to a Coloratura's ability to sing. The agility takes a hit and the voice may not be as reliable. Yes, Mariah's singing style is far more difficult and complex than most pop stars. Even verifiable vocal coaches on YouTube mention that. Mariah has a worse issue because of nodes. I don't think anyone really understands the amount of work and sacrifice Mariah made in her 20's. She didn't have time for friends, family, or hobbies. All she did was create new music and work on her voice. Mariah has never given up her work ethic. You're right, she's not working on her voice and maintaining it as she should. She's too busy working a back to back schedule. She finished up her Butterfly residency in February. She's been quarantined in her NY home since mid March and is approaching her 5th and 6th tribute. It is beyond bizarre to expect a concert leg to be sold out 6 weeks prior to its opening date. In addition, this isn't a "new" residency, it's actually an add on to her original 2 year tenure due to high demand. She sold out at 96%. Mariah keeps getting offered residencies and extensions because she sells. The Palace integrated a new slot machine designed after Mariah and her favorite things to serve as a landmark to commemorate her residency there after her Infinity series. Her fandom likes the slots. The rest of her concerts outside of Vegas usually average between the 80-90th percentile overall. (Friday 10 April 2020; 11:05)

Mariah was unfairly thwarted too many times. How does she have the best selling and most acclaimed album of the year but not win any major awards? MC early works (93,443) by Nikki from usa I'm not sure what the music scene was like in Europe during the 80's other than Madonna's popularity, but Mariah's debut was an ode to the 80's over here. She covered everything that was popular that decade from Rock to Dance and even a We Are The World kind of song with TGTBAW. She added her flavor with Vanishing and VOL. I'd like to know what singles she wanted to release and in what order for Emotions before those decisions were removed from her. It would be interesting to know how the project would've done without TM meddling. It would be called The Wind. If Mottola and Walter were on board with Butterfly than there wouldn't have been so much squabbling and Walter wouldn't have fallen out with MC. They weren't on board with her hip hop tracks and Mottola even undermined Butterfly the song by giving it a limited release. It's the timeframe their careers are based on and how they're judged. Just ask Madonna how much she loves the age topic. Eminem and Nicki Minaj were both portrayed as being in their mid 20's when they came out, but both were a couple years older. JLo came out claiming she was 28, but it turned out she was off by a year after she went to jail with Puff Daddy. That's part of their marketing. And, to Bill, everybody lies no matter the religion. In fact, my life experience has shown people who proclaim some kind of purity due to their religion tend to lie and backstab the most. Mariah's benefit contribution (93,391) by Nikki from usa I hope she doesn't sing Hero. Enough already. This is a benefit concert for people with cabin fever stuck at home. They don't need inspiration, they need a break to cut loose. Since all of you have no faith in her ability to sing anyway, she do better to sing uptempo songs or remixes that don't require over the top vocal acrobatics. A compilation of old hits doesn't constitute an "album" by label standards. She still owes them 2 more and no one really knows about the terms of the renegotiated deal or if it went through. Mariah's touring/residency schedule doesn't provide her enough time to do all the things she needs to do to care for her voice. When she did the Daydream tour she only did 1 concert per week. That was at her prime and her youth. It goes to show just how much a concert takes a toll on her voice. Now, she's singing back to back shows then taking one day off before she's back again. She's supposed to have 2 days off between concerts as a minimum. (Monday 17 February 2020; 05:41)

Current MC (92,803) by Nikki from usa She's wrapping up her residency all this month in Vegas. She's heading out to Hawaii for an arena concert in March. Just one. I'm not sure what that's about. I'm assuming she's adding more dates for her tour or using it as a jumping point to segue into something else. Everyone's aware of what she was doing in December. She took some R&R in January. She went to that movie premiere and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Then, had to gear up for her last month of The Butterfly Returns. The fans decline (92,797) by Nikki from usa If Mariah needs to explain to people that she's pushing 50 and not 20 anymore than maybe some folks need to be hit with a stupid stick. There are rock stars who do a lifetime of hard core drugs while drinking gin and tequila like water who don't have half of Mariah's vocal issues. So, trying to blame everything on wine or the fact she entered a store selling pot once is beyond reaching. Perhaps the fans could be a bit more honest about the fact they've checked out. Her voice has always been inconsistent. She has gone over it. You not liking the answers isn't the same thing. Mariah will continue to have a career even if it isn't at the top of the charts. Nobody is on top forever. This new generation doesn't know the 20 year old Mariah. All they care about is a good beat. She's older and needs a different platform if that's what she wants to go after. Mariah doesn't need to retire. She doesn't need all of her records broken, so you don't feel "anxious" if someone's about to break one. If you don't like her live than don't buy a ticket. The remixes (92,654) by Nikki from usa I'm pretty sure the songs were chosen for the US lambs. We don't get all the extras that are automatically included in the international releases. I would've never heard Miss You otherwise. Through the Rain's remix was a #1 on the dance charts and I believe the rest also charted well or were popular in the US on the club scene here. I always wondered if some of the choices were based off Mariah's favorites or not. I wouldn't mind another release with some more thought put into it and some actual promo this time.
