About Lara from Middle East:
I discovered Mariah with "always be my baby"...Got hooked by "my all"..didnt know it was the same artist back then..I couldn't (yet) understand what she was singing! Since then, I've been a big fan and rediscovered her catalogue and appreciate her even more...Searching for her lyrics was my way to learn english :)

All the speculation about her mental health are finally revealed. The past years were really obvious. I'm really optimistic about her new approach and bursting her protective bubble.

It's oh so quiet (81,222)

Quoting Bjork's song. No news so we start picking up at each other. Personally, I really wish Mariah gave one clear interview about the state of her voice. To let the world her voice isn't the same anymore would remove the huge expectations she has to face everytime, and for sure once that is relieved, her stage "stiffness" would be gone. For me, it's her tone that made her special, not the high belts she strains to reach.

Exactly Edward, you can feel she's relaxed in her performance and in control and doesn't have to worry about the next note. You mentioned that maybe a surgery that went wrong around 97, I guess her breath support got damaged when she got the implants. We'll keep on guessing until Trey put out his memoirs.

I really need Mariah to collaborate with him. Look at this mashup . Only him can bring her old vibes with a fresh sound.

For me lyrically Through The Rain is better but I don't like how she whispered through it. Can't Take That Away is much more enjoyable to listen. I think the most underrated inspirational song from Mariah is Almost Home.

In honor of the Cranberries, I think Mariah should release a new album "Bury the hatchet" and make it only duets with all the persons she doesn't know.

I think Christina Aguilera had an album named Lotus, I doubt she'll use the same name. But I want her to use a short title.

Concerned (78,651)
by Lara from Middle East
| |
|
|
Regardless whether her team knew/informed her before or not, I'm concerned with her reaction. She stayed lying, almost frozen, any movement is extremely slow from her. She answered well but her body language was disconnected. Add this to her weight gain, I can't help thinking if she's on medication (more specifically anti-psychotics). If Mariah is also struggling, I wish her well and I need her team to take note from Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato's teams how to handle health/mental issues.

Weight gain (77,041)

I don't care what size she is. I hope this is not a side effect of some medication she might be taking. Maybe corticosteroids for her voice could explain this or some antidepressant. My only concern is her to be ok.

As much as I'm surprised how Stella took Mariah's plane for her own vacation, I'm delighted that for the first time in almost 3 years they're more than 20 meters away from her.

To all still defending this era (76,540)
by Lara from Middle East

For the last 2.5 years there have been zero moments of Mariah alone. She has been photographed with her more than with dem babies. Any flight she has taken, Stella was with her. they're living in the same house. Unless they're in a relationship, don't tell me it's not alarming.

Definitely now. In the Glitter era, you had the necessities for a comeback available. Most importantly, the public felt sorry for her, unlike now with her exaggerated diva persona.

Denial (76,418)
by Lara from Middle East
| |
|
|
The Mariah Carey we all fell in love with is gone. I don't if we - the fans - are in denial and still hoping to see the singer that used her voice for recognition or Miss Carey herself is in denial and still herself the 30 year skinny woman energetic and walking on heels like it's nothing. I feel sad when I read her news. It all went downhill since her injury then followed by her divorce. Something is wrong and I wish she would come clear about it.

You know all these videos on YouTube with the clone theories and how at some point some celebrity got replaced by a clone? I used to laugh at them. Not sure if I'm gonna laugh now if I see one about Mariah.

Re: Mariah the songwriter (74,533)
by Lara from Middle East

|

I'd like to see Mariah co-write a song with Julia Michael, her song Issues could really work with Mariah's voice. Or she should go the uptempo way, yesterday in the gym I was pleasantly surprised to hear a dance remix of YME, so something upbeat on which a nice zumba choreography could be done would definitely help in gaining popularity.
