I agree she does need someone to help her but after the abusive conservatorship I doubt she trusts anyone. People have really not done right by Britney. I don't think Mariah is like Britney, though. While I don't think she should lose all control over her life and finances, it's clear that some kind of support system should be in place to protect her from herself. I don't like the video for I Don't but what I really liked about it is her makeup. It's the best it's ever looked IMO. I like her outfits in the video for Say Somethin' the most. Wing beneath my wings (110,687) by Dove from United States I was thinking about that song Wind Beneath My Wings. Someone sang it at a talent show when I was a kid and it always stuck with me. Mariah, if she ever does get another serious romantic partner, needs someone who is going to be the wind beneath her wings. I say "if" she does because I've noticed in myself and some of my friends as we get older, we feel less of a need for one. Maybe she feels the same. I like how Kelly Ripa's husband took a backseat to her career and focused more on being a husband and father rather than chasing the spotlight. She needs someone who is going to accept she is a very bright star and isn't going to try to block her light. Tanaka seemed like he could be that but then I didn't like how he was pretty much asking for both jackets at Balmain when his luggage was lost on her reality show. I get that when you're dating someone rich they can afford to spoil you but they weren't even dating yet. It was a reality show, so maybe it was all staged. Ew which reminds me of the annoying little daughter of the manager. When we said her team needed the young kids to tell us what's cool I meant the cool kids. Tirzepatide (110,685) by Dove from United States I just remembered I was on Tirzepatide for a few months earlier this year (to help me lose a few pounds) and I was so tired. When I wasn't at work I just wanted to be at home laying down. I wasn't getting good sleep so I was always tired anyway, even though I was "resting" so much. A lot of celebrities are using weight loss injections right now so it could be that. I didn't even want to clean. My one meal a day was take-out so I wouldn't have to clean the kitchen, it was that bad. (Sunday 24 August 2025; 13:22)

What's wrong with MC (110,684) by Dove from United States I kind of wish she would be open and transparent about what's going on with her so we would know she's not being drugged against her will like Brian Wilson and Britney Spears were. It could be nothing but it could be something. My ADHD got a lot worse when I hit perimenopause. Maybe something like that happened with her too. I haven't seen her with a champagne glass in her hand all the time like during the Infinity era. A lot of people with mental health issues (I guess, I don't know what to call it) self-diagnose with alcohol, and sometimes other drugs, so this is not me blaming her for liking her splashes or anything. I want to mind my own business but (almost) everyone minded their business with Brian Wilson and Britney Spears for so many years and look what that did to their brains. I hope she's just tired because she hit menopause, or some medication she's taking (with good benefits that outweigh the bad) is making her lethargic. If she came out and said it, we wouldn't need to be worried. And yes, I know she's a celebrity but some of us have been following her since childhood and she feels more like a family member than a stranger. She's given a lot to the world. I'm glad Brian Wilson found a sweet partner to take care of him in the 90's up until he died this year. I wish Nick would have been that for Mariah instead of the self-serving narcissist he turned out to be. How disappointing. Selena Gomez came out and talked about the changes in her weight and demeanor being caused by medication she needed. I don't follow her super closely or anything but I remember seeing her talking about it and it made me feel more at ease about the changes in her personality. Like, at least there's a legit reason. The video for With You should have been her performance at the 2018 VMA's in the gorgeous pink dress and the men dancing. (In my opinion, of course.) I would have loved if they would have made a MV of her performance of The Distance on the Tonight Show with the sparkly pink dress. They don't all need to be high budget. Music video idea (110,661) by Dove from United States I just came up with a video idea. Not saying it's award worthy or anything - just an idea. It's for Betcha 'Gon Know. They could hire an actress that looks like a young her. But a lot like her, like Blake Lively and Isabela Ferrer in It Ends With Us. So the younger actress could be acting out the scene in the song while Mariah does her glamour pose/singing scenes. I know that album was ages ago, and this is not going to happen, but I come here because MC reality is suspended for me and I can share my dreams and creative visions freely. She tried to threaten Taylor Swift by saying, "I'm going to leak ten years of your messages if you don't stand up for me." Taylor is going to flex her empire hard. I've also been following the lawsuit, so knowing that she's preparing to clap back is exciting. I also became a fan of Scott Swift, her dad, in the process. When he heard about the threats, he immediately gave the information to the opposing team, so now they have evidence of Blake Lively's extortion attempt. I love it. It made me wish Mariah had a protective father figure like that throughout her life. Maybe she wouldn't be so damaged and wouldn't be the blow-up doll she is today, if she had consistently felt deeply loved by a father since she was a child. (Thursday 14 August 2025; 15:03)

Wicked for Good (110,487) by Dove from United States A lot of people will probably watch Wicked for Good. It's too bad filming already wrapped or MC could have made a cameo. They could use one of her songs at the end, while the credits are running, like they did with Oz the Great and Powerful. Anytime You Need a Friend - C&C Club Version. Or the version that sounds super jazzy... is it the string-a-pella one? That one is super long so it would need to be cut down a bit. I bet everyone would want their project associated with a living legend if asked. They could do the video with scenes from the movie like they did with Almost Home and have MC dripped in jewels like a fictional/alternative good witch who doesn't appear in the movie. She could lip-sync some parts of the song like she did in the Almost Home video. (Everyone lip-syncs in music videos so haters can't hate.) I don't think this song would be a #1 but it would garner attention. People would remember, or be introduced to, one of the reasons Mariah is a legend. Her voice. For a #1 we need another "Fantasy" type song, though. (Thursday 14 August 2025; 14:19)

Another #1 (110,481) by Dove from United States I think MC can still have another #1. She doesn't need it, but she's so close to tying The Beatles. Why not at least try? It's going to take something big, though. A really, really catchy song that you'd want to play on repeat. They need to play it somewhere everyone will hear it. Remember when Don't Stop Believing became super popular again after playing over the last montage on Laguna Beach? It didn't reach #1, but still, it made a resurgence. And not everyone watched Laguna Beach. It would need to be a movie or show that appealed to everyone. I don't think people mind seeing Mariah blinged up. I love it. I live my royal gemstone dreams through her. She worked hard for that mess. But we need to see another "human" side to her too. Some ideas I have off the top of my head. When I was young the super talented music icon, Juan Gabriel, would have other singers sing his already super popular musical masterpieces. He sang them too, but the new singer gave it new dimension and life. All versions are still classics to this day. Nobody can sing Mariah songs better than Mariah. The cheap route would be to cover a Taylor Swift song. I know she's younger and has been in the game less time but she really is very talented. That's a big part of why people love her so much. Her songs are really heartfelt. When she was younger, her songs were younger. She sang about "young" things and the songs did come off sophomoric to a more mature audience. But her songs have matured and grown with her. How Did It End? The Prophecy, My Tears Ricochet, Would've, Could've, Should've... I could hear Mariah singing all of these. As long as she says nice things about Taylor her fans would at least listen to it. Taylor's fans are pretty nice IMO. I don't think a duet would sound good between those two, though. MC might be too proud to do this. I think it would make her appear humble. Some haters might say she's only doing it to ride on Taylor's success train right now but haters will always have something negative to say. I think people would listen to it. It would be magical if she had Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift covers on her album. The past and the future. Also, she needs another "Fantasy" with the "boom" for the show/movie I mentioned earlier. Angels Cry and With You should not have been released as singles over other more radio (or playlist) friendly songs on their albums. They're great songs but they're the type of songs you discover when listening to a whole album. For singles that are going to get airplay you need something that will grab and keep people's attention. When you're on a high point of your career, people will buy whatever you're putting out, it doesn't matter. But after hearing the new singles, it seems like the quality of songwriting went down with Mariah's choice of co-writers. It's not bad, still solid by normal standards but Mariah is just held to a whole different level. She's literally never made one bad studio album. Ever. This is actually the first time she's dropped weak lead singles. It landed me to a hopeless point. I still want her to come through and prove me wrong though. Shut me up. I'm rooting for that. I think your assessment might be correct. This could be the Charmbracelet to the Emancipation. Only time will tell. But like you said, it is great quality music no matter what. I would like if she wrote more verses (to give it more meat) and sung it all herself in one mix. The mix with Kehlani and Shenseea is cool and will still exist. The video could even be home videos of her with her kids. I like seeing Mariah in "mom" mode sometimes. That song feels like being a kid in the summertime to me, eating popsicles and watermelon on the Fourth of July while watching the fireworks. I started noticing the same negative comments on every single post or article about Mariah. I think it's called astroturfing. We all know what people who are drunk or high really sound/act like. I think a lot of it is she has to speak carefully because everything can be taken out of context and made into a sound bite these days. To me she just seems super chill. It's interesting to see how the general public perceives Mariah. The comments range from: "Is she high?" "Is she drunk?" "Sedated Mariah is forever a mood," to "She sounds like she's had a few." What's crazy is, I actually thought her recent interviews were decent, definitely better than the ones in Australia. But to the average viewer who isn't a lamb, there's no mercy; they'll just call it like they see it. I really hope she eases up on the meds.
