Choices (63,906) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) People life is about making choices and with those choices others can accept them or not. At this point Mariah is a grown woman and can do whatever she chooses as long as she is not breaking any laws or hurting anyone in the process. Do I agree with everything Mariah does? Absolutely not but I can either support it or not. As far as fashion goes, Mariah has never been considered a fashion icon. Does she have some great moments? Yes but her fashion has always been hit or miss even during her hay day. Honestly for me it's all about the music and live performances, everything else I can take it or leave it. Who wears lingerie on a red carpet, and to a club? This Stella lady situation is kinda 50/50. Yes she helped in the damage control post Chanteuse era and cleaning up the negativity, but with her also came the ratchetness, unusually thick aging makeup, cursing, and all that which wasn't there before. Mariah Carey Brazil (63,903) by TRAVON AUSTIN from United States Those of you that don't know the links to the Brazilian information for the Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, go to UKMIX. There is a lot of information there pertaining to the venues as well as the promoters. There has been no official announcement by Mariah Carey or her team but the promoters are the ones who are promoting these venues for the tour. As previously noted, the promoters have already begun selling tickets. I have information that may change the tone of this message board. "Mariah is trending on Twitter (Brazil) right now because she sold out all the R$2500 tickets (premium) in less than 48 minutes." They are expecting over 25,000 people for the first show due to the high demand. I'm surprised of how popular she is in Brazil in South America. That makes me so angry. Mariah is a Christian which not may people know and I do feel she is fluttering away from her spirituality and what kept her tamed and grounded and respectful because of her faith. A lot of her songs she has written and sang are a result of her deep rooted Christian faith and now the way she is conducting herself and musically it shows she is not reflecting her inner spiritual Christian self. I do not want to offend anyone and this is my opinion and I do hope Mariah reads this forum as I really want her to go back to her roots so badly. I really dont want people to know her for her crazy clothes and airy fairy Mariah and her legacy will be tarnished as a result if she continues. I think we all need to do something positive to let her know Mariah this is not cool. Most definitely that Stella woman is a disaster to Mariah's image. Just pure trashy. Look at Mariah in 1997-2000 she was so demure, graceful and elegant and super sexy yet tamed. And now we are going down this trashy looking route and Mariah still looks so young and can pull off Butterfly era look. Oh how I wish she would change her hair colour to brunette honey days. She uploaded a video of Mariah posing on the red carpet wearing lingerie and captioned it "slay Mimi". If she didn't support Mariah's decision to wear that, the post wouldn't have been up on her Instagram. And I know what you mean about the blank look. Plus in the footage I posted, you can see Mariah instructing Suss One to pick up his phone camera and point it at her, so maybe she is the one asking for the snap chats. It's sad really that she feels the need to do these to get attention. When in reality she can get all the attention just by being a classy woman and releasing a great new song. How can she be engaged to somebody she barely sees? Half of her last album it's about abandonment and solitude because Nick left her alone during and after the pregnancy. She needed and missed Nick because she loved him, so that means she doesn't love James? Are we missing the 24/7 facetime calls between them? 3. Where are they going to live once they get married? Is she going to have a long distance marriage too? 4. What's with the vulgarity and where are the good manners? Wearing underwear in public, nip slips, fishnet dresses. Cursing any giving time. Getting drunk in public places and let the paparazzi see you like that. 5. Why is Stella's family living with her? 6. Where is Mariah's mom? We see the twins hanging with Nick's mom, we even see Mariah with her ex mother-in-law. After she and Nick separated, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Mother's Day happened and no sign of Patricia. 7. Why is a 13 year old in charge of her social media? Did Mariah get tired or she is just too busy? 8. Why is she dedicating her time to do movies instead of music? 9. Does she plan to look like Joan Rivers? Does she want to have an emotionless face? It's evident she has done some work in her body, and that's ok, but her face is different. That's why she looks puffy. (I have a very good friend that's an expert in these things.) 10. Is Stella a bad influence for MC or is Mariah just being her not caring anymore about what others might think of her. Pay attention, Zarina, Lianna and Stella dress in the same tacky and cheap way, plus the surgery in their faces and bodies. Is it because of them or is it all Mariah? I don't care anymore if it's staged or gimmick or whatever reasons that they will make just to say that it ain't her true self, she is a mother of 2 and if it's not enough for her to act respectable, I don't know anymore. Donnie Simpson even said in that interview that she is so mature for her age, she's now 46 and I don't know what to say. You know everyone is tagging Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani, Halle Berry as few of the celebrities who ages backwards, well Mariah is like that but in a bizarre and cringing way. Being a legend, paving the way for a lot of artists, sold millions of records is not right to validate her to act like this and this comes from a frustrated fan who wants the best for her and for other people to not only see what she have achieved or her as this shady diva but to see how genuine she is as a person and to respect her as a human being. Yeah, your performances have improved and actually felt fun and confident, but stop with all these ratchetness. You're worth more than half a billion dollars dammit, and showing up with lingerie and suspenders on a red carpet is not a good way of showing it. Not even Kim Kardashian have showed up in a red carpet with such cheap looking outfit. Ring up Donatella Versace or smth and get a really good, classy, sexy outfit to go on the red carpet. I would have thought her breakdown would have came during her Chanteuse tour, she was in the worse physical state I'd ever seen her in. She made it through that. I believe what we are seeing is Mariah's not so secret, secret that she likes to get lit play out on social media. Before, they only caught her drunk once at that awards show. She was always very careful about being seen in that state. She doesn't seem to care now and doesn't care being filmed while inebriated. I don't know if this is calculated or if she is just throwing "caution to the wind". I don't like her being filmed in this state. The outfit was very current day Madonna. Wearing next to nothing even though we have seen it a million times in a desperate attempt for attention. Mariah forgets she actually has a God given gift sometimes or just prefers that men lust after her and women envy her good looks. She's got most of her voice back, stand there flat footed and sing. She needs a stylist asap that will give her sexy looks that are still classy. Stella, you cannot have your client out there like that. There needs to be rules. No interviews if you had something to drink. Her kids could be taken away if someone tries to claim she is unfit to raise them. These clips are more than enough to make that claim believable. I'm not judging her not am I saying to dress and act like a nun, but these moments should be private. The kids love it, they all want to get "lit" with Mariah because she seems like fun. But she looks like the easy drunk girl at the club you know you can take home. I'm not mad at her for celebrating by drinking and feeling confident to wear that outfit, but there is nothing wrong with a little discretion in a highly public setting. Its sucks that she worked her butt off this month by giving great performances with great vocals and it all goes down the drain for an hour of fun. (Tuesday 28 June 2016; 4:27)

My side comment was a footnote on the bigger issue which was her behavior degrading her talent and legacy. Very similar to what you were feeling. Her weight was never an issue with me. Her weight gain always seems to be an issue with herself judging by the awkward angles ill fitting clothing she chooses to wear. I wasn't fat shaming her. I think when she's heavier she look good and seems to wear more flattering prints and silhouettes IMO. In closing, I feel bad when Mariah comes in public looking trashy because inevitably people always blame her stylists at the moment. But the truth is stylist are paid to buy fashions for their client that the client personally wants. At the end of the day Mariah is going to walk out the house and choose whatever pieces she wants in the order she sees fit. This is not one bad outfit Mariah wears. She is habitually known to wear this cheap trashy Jersey-esque atheistic that she likes. And if she likes it, so be it. Doesn't mean that I have to like it. (Tuesday 28 June 2016; 3:31)

Oh Mariah (63,884) by Mara from United States I have been reading everyone's posts and I agree with all of them. What gets me is where are the people around her? Do they really say "Yes Mariah that looks hot"? It gets me that they have to know she is making a classless mistake and nobody stops her. Maybe they do and she just doesn't care, but somehow I doubt that. Just like some of the people that look at her and say she looks amazing, why not flaunt it. Flaunt what? I'm sorry, but she looks like a Frederick's of Hollywood model, not the megastar talented legend that she is. What is going on? I was embarrassed when I had the MCA news up on my phone when someone borrowed my phone. It looked like I was searching some x-rated thing. What worries me is this blank look that MC has been having lately. Especially when she is with Sussone. The same look she had when she was in the studio with him. She looks to be on something and it's worrying me. It's giving me Anna Nicole vibes and I really don't know what is going on right now. How can she go from being on stage and composed to this where she looks totally out of it and this hair flipping that she has been doing lately? As much as I love Mariah (been there since day 1) I am finding it more and more difficult to watch these videos and images of a beautiful and extremely talented woman become a sad parody of herself. She is really living in a fantasy world and at a time when she is not releasing new music she is coming across as a thirsty, tacky woman with lots of money and no taste and not much else. Most of us have already noticed that Mariah can't seem to lose the weight from her face. I'm sure even she knows it too. So why bring it up? I feel your frustration about her faulting herself in lingerie. But that's no need to insult her weight. It's okay to call her out when she's in the wrong. But it's another thing to call her out on how big she looks. You can do it in a more respectful manner. We all want Mariah to look her best and be the best shape possible. My problem with Mariah isn't really her weight. It's how she dresses. One day she can look so classy and like a star. And the next she looks cheap and in desperate need of a stylist. I think it's really hard for Mariah to except the fact that she's aging. So she doesn't want to limit her sexiness or what is suitable for her age. I say cover up and dress more classy. Stop trying so hard to be a sex doll because you're not. She didn't need to be this way when she first came out. Say what you want about Tommy Mottola, he dressed her like a lady and made her look classy. It's so sad that with all the talent Mariah has she's taking the sex sells route.
