2014 wasn't that great folks (81,927) by T from USA Everyone saying Stella ruined Mariah's career has to take a second look. I'm in no way shape or form a Stella fan but if I remember correctly the three biggest moments of Mariah's career the year before Stella (2014) was her riding on the New York subway in an evening gown, getting booed in Japan, and the Tree Lighting disaster. Those three being her biggest highlights is saying a lot considering it was also a year she released an album. (Tuesday 17 April 2018; 15:03)

What goes around comes around (81,926) by T from USA I've been a big Mariah fan like forever. I see all the good she has done and the amount of talent she has. But illness or no illness, she let Stella influence her take advantage of James Paker's money and status. And we can always justify it as Mariah being under Stella's control. But it is not the first time Mariah has dated/married someone (see Damizza, Tommy Motolla) for a leg up. She has a history of using people and then dropping them. Now I know this post is going to get a lot of hate, but common sense says a twenty-one year old that starts dating a forty year old married man with kids who runs the label might be after something more than just his good looks. Damizza made a lot of allegations but the one that rung most true was when he said she used him to get on radio. He had that power and she was doing through a moment where her songs were charting because of sales not radio airplay (like Mary J Blige for example). So she smartly (or not smartly) brought him into her inner circle. Now like attracts like and I do believe Stella came into Mariah's life and did the exact same thing to Mariah. And not MC is going to have to pay the piper. Maybe she can sell that ring that she still holds onto from James Paker to pay Stella off. (Tuesday 17 April 2018; 14:57)

Butterfly part 2 with Walter Afanasieff (81,845) by T from USA With her new found truth and freedom I would love to see how deep they could go now. I think Butterfly was just the tip of the iceberg. I know a few years ago Walter said Mariah needs help. I wonder if he suspected that she was going through these kind of problems all the way back from 1997. The industry is small and people talk so from what he witnessed being around her plus the gossip he must've heard after 2001 I think he suspected something was wrong. I do think he really cared about her at one time and maybe still does. Mariah's trust issues may never allow them to reunite however. (Saturday 14 April 2018; 14:35)

Re: New memoirs (81,829) (81,831) by T from USA The only way the memoirs will be of true value is if Mariah goes into that rated R dark place she's eluded too in the past. A true honest account. However as long as she wants a career in the pop world she probably can't write that kind of book. That's why I would hope she just starts the writing of the book but doesn't actually release it until she's well into her sixties and has no more industry ties or pressures to appear a certain way. For now just give us honest and open music that can act as a therapeutic outlet in the same way. (Friday 13 April 2018; 15:54)

Re: The chasm (81,800) (81,827) by T from USA Well in the latest pictures she's still wearing the "engagement ring". I'm not sure anything will really change. I hope I'm wrong because if she still acts the same way she has in the last few years (illness or no illness) people are going to give up on her once and for all. She has to basically go back to her Musicbox, Daydream personality, which was heavily contrived and controlled but it was very acceptable in the public eye. Hopefully the truth she's bared will give her the comfort to just be humble and nice again. On the other hand if she's not sticking with her treatment in the future she may accidentally slip back into her erratic behavior. It explains Daydream's Grammy fight night and the wild bursts with Tommy. I'm sure Tommy's control and stressful behavior didn't help and probably set off her condition but if she wasn't prone to Bipolar in the first place there may be a chance the two of them would still be married to this day. She fled to save her sanity. But was it her sanity that was getting in the way in the first place? She hasn't been able to have long lasting relationships at all. Be it family or friends. I remember when it was said she kicked her long serving manager out of a moving car. The longest relationship I can gather is her and Trey Lorenz. I would love to hear what he has to say and how he has maintained himself on Mariah's good side. (Friday 13 April 2018; 13:44)

Walter A reunion (81,700) by T from USA I think it's time Mariah connect with Walter A. I know we always say this with every new album but it just feels right now. Her first album back with Sony and her Insta posts about Daydream, Butterfly etc. I don't need half the album but if there were a couple (or 3 out of 12 tracks) I think we could really get that next Mariah masterpiece. Obsessed on EMC2 (80,941) by T from USA I wish she came up with Obsessed during the E=MC2 sessions with the Dream. I think it fits that album much better. Skydiving could've taken its place on Memoirs. (Thursday 15 February 2018; 14:31)

(80,557) (80,558) by T from USA I think what may have happened is Mariah was looking for happiness after a sad lonely childhood and she thought music and success would give her the relief of all the pain she was feeling inside. The Butterfly album with all its themes and sadness is a person coming to the realization that none of it made her happy on the inside. And at some point during that era she stopped being so intense about using music and success as a remedy to the pain. At that point she found alcohol (and maybe drugs) to let her distract from her inner pain. Tommy kept her hidden from the industry parties as long as he could but she was increasingly becoming more unhappy. I remember the time in her life that she was in therapy and reunited with her father is a time I saw more genuine content within her. She was also treating her voice better (Charmbracelet world tour to TEOM). Unfortunately, it came after she hit rock bottom first. Then after all the success of TEOM she still wasn't at peace. Can you imagine being so successful and yet still looking outward for happiness? I really believed her kids would finally bring her inner peace but then we got the Stella era where she seemed the most disconnected and false ever. Right now she seems better and motivated but I just hope she's not just banking on new success to give her happiness, because once again she is going to be severely disappointed. Timbaland (80,547) by T from USA Timbaland is the only producer I am dying for MC to work with at this point. He can simultaneously tap into that late '90s R&B and still it sound fresh for 2018. I think his work would please both the people who want a modern day Butterfly, a throwback to the Golden age and something she's never done before, all at the same time. I would take a twelve song album where Timbo produces half and Marc Shaiman does the other half (Walter Afanasieff would be asking too much). Now I know there are some who think she should go with all new people for a totally new sound but didn't she try that with MIAM? Hitboy, Mike Will, Miguel, Darkchild... and none of them could score a hit with Mimi. I think she should bring it back to basics. (Monday 22 January 2018; 01:14)

Re: Studio pic (80,517) (80,518) by T from USA Part of the big problem is she has nothing else to say. She's not as socially conscious or outspoken as Madonna. Mariah's songs are mostly about love and her life and quite frankly nobody is going to care about a 48 year old's love life, especially because she's probably not going to be honest about it anyway (see "I Don't"). The reason the Butterfly album worked so well and is still regarded as the best is because she was really honest in every song. It cost her though and "I don't" think she has ever been as honest to that degree again. Now if she pulls an Adele and tells everybody honestly what it's like to be in or out of love as a 48 year old mother of two, then maybe people will listen and actually care. Studio pic (80,513) by T from USA I think she did it because Madonna Instagram'd a pic and it got people excited. I think if there is anyone MC views as competition it is Madonna. And I don't think she wanted Madonna to get all the hype. But what Mariah doesn't realize is that when Madonna makes a music announcement the whole world takes notice. There is no point following the same route. Mariah should stay quiet until she is ready to release it. I think MC's career works best with a shroud of mystery. (Saturday 20 January 2018; 17:53)

Can you imagine how thight MIAM would've been as 12 tracks and released right after American Idol? Sure we wouldn't have gotten "Money", "One More Try" or "Heavenly" but the album as a whole would've been better and sold better. (Wednesday 17 January 2018; 14:23)

New album (80,434) by T from USA Now that she's back with Sony I hope she goes back to having her 12 track albums. To me it was the perfect number of songs (not too short, not too many fillers). If Mariah has one problem (compared to Celine or Madonna) it is her inability to stay in one place very long, even if things are going well. Roc Nation (79,503) by T from USA I think this is the best possible news. It's a management company that's in line with the image of music Mariah wants to create. My only concern is that every manager Mariah has ever had has ended with a bad break up. I wouldn't want her to loose her friendship with Jay Z or worse, make enemies behind the scenes with people that could make her career missarable (she already did that once with Tommy). Still, I'm excited that a legend finally hires professionals to handle her stuff. (Tuesday 21 November 2017; 14:09)

Walter A (79,267) by T from USA With Big Jim out I would love Mariah and Walter to give it one more chance. I really think he genuinely loved her but was also manipulated by Tommy as everyone else was. I think they were all working with a level of fear. I would like to hear what they come up with now that they both have a new found freedom. Also ultimately what better revenge to Tommy Motolla than to have the two people he originally set up with great success to come back together and do it again without him. Stella wasted her last good years (79,246) by T from USA Mariah had the chance to release one album under LA Reid's watch at Sony. As the Showbiz article states, Stella wasted Mariah's best chance as Reid is one of the last big supporters of Mariah. I know it was important to re-establish her #1's in 2015 but he exited Sony in May 2017 so even if she had been focused and got out an album by Octpber/November 2016 or even March 2017 the latest then at least she would have label support.
