About Mara from United States: I'm a Mariah fan since the debut. Been through her entire career with her and may not always agree with every single thing she does, But i will always come to her defense when she gets attacked for being misunderstood. I am not a blind fan and relate Mariah to a sister who I would tell in a minute if something seems wrong or something of that nature. I come to this board to discuss her with people who I feel are true fans and yes, some don't always praise her to the heavens every single moment but we all are here for the same reason and we do adore her.

Reality/doc-u-series (60,386) by Mara from United States I wasn't sure how to feel at first but I think it may be a good way to let the public in on MC and see she has so much more to offer than what their perception is of her. The serious side of her, the mother, the professional singer and especially songwriter side. The woman who can go in a studio with one song, get creative and create a complete new amazingly hot track. How that process comes to her. Not to mention how many life changes she is going through right now. Being engaged to a billionaire, combining families, co parenting, her children turning 5, her vocal maintenance, wedding preparations. There are so many interesting things in her life. I love that it is on E too, as E has a larger audience. I hope she takes advantage of this opportunity and gets the public interested again and releases new music. I say good job Stella, unless otherwise. I think she meant to privately respond to that gossip site and they publicly released her response. I hope she learns from it but I think she may be starstruck at the same time but does want to bring MC back where she should be. (Sunday 13 March 2016; 0:26)

I always said it seemed Mariah was the only big name female singer George hasn't sung a duet with and that always bothered me because we know she always liked GM and while there were some issues early on with his LWOP album and the Sony days with TM, George realized it was not MC's doing. I think it would be a great way for George to be introduced back into the public as well. He has been very low key and out of the public eye for quite some time now. I heard there were some things he was going through and there were also rumors of him becoming a judge on some talent show as well. This would work perfectly and I along with so many other fans of both would live to see that. (Wednesday 10 February 2016; 18:10)

The blonde is ok, but it's repetitive and we have seen this in so many eras so far. It's a new time in her life and a new era, a new time she should want to let stand out in photos. I love that she is looking so much like TEOM era, but she should want to be different now and be able to look at a photo and say this is my Engagement Era. She is beyond beautiful and can pull anything off, her face is ageless and now of all times she should change it up a little. She looks so exotic and beautiful with darker hair, and I wish they would fill her brows in a little more too. It brings out her beauty. Ok, I'm done with my tangent now, said in MC's voice. Re: Toni Braxton / Mariah Carey mini series (59,594) (59,608) by Mara from United States I saw the Toni Braxton movie and I thought it was nicely done. I thought they got Babyface down almost more than Toni. Her story was interesting as I have similar health issues and have been a fan of hers since The Boomerang soundtrack. However I don't see Mariah doing it although it would be one way for her to get her story out there straight from the source. I always wished she would. I feel like I have followed this woman since day one and almost feel like she is a sister I never see so to speak, and yet we really don't know all that much about her life in a way. Mariah always puts more in her songs. In the Toni Braxton movie, she was right there behind the scenes and it was so nice to watch something that the star was 100% behind. I would settle for a nice either documentary or sit down interview though. It feels like we as fans got more behind the scenes of Mariah years ago. I miss those sort of things. I think with this day in age celebrities use social media almost like a crutch and I don't mean any disrespect in saying that. I just mean like, before a fan of Mariah's in the 90's didn't have this social media frenzy to stay connected with her so we saw her more. I agree with you too that MC's people should focus and stress her genius songwriting ability now more and I do feel that would be positive for her. She has such an amazing ability to craft beautiful songs on so many different levels and it would be awesome if she shared more of that side as well. (Friday 5 February 2016; 19:15)

I think when I wrote this whole post it was late at night and I literally was beyond sick of seeing Lopez everywhere and had enough. I woke up to her in an interview with Ryan Seacrest and of course the gushing over her, then open magazines and see her all in the reviews of award show gowns, to online and the rage of her Vegas show to AI and her new show on TV all in one day. She even had to tell Brenda K how they went "back in the day". I don't think this will be the same message that I deleted by mistake but it just irritates me and I wanted to vent, that this woman is looked at like she is everything and she blatantly came out with her singing career off of someone else's. Her whole look. The whole Jennifer Lopez I remembered didn't have that long blond "Rainbow MC" straight hair. She was morphed into it. But whatever, that is done. What gets me though is that the MC we know as fans, the one that is humble, real, insecure and shy, the general public don't know. Yet that see JLo as this girl next door you can hang with and I have heard otherwise on her but it's never out there. You never see Miss Lopez photographed on every vacation in every country with her kids, it's Mariah who you see. She is an amazing mother to those babies. Perhaps if she just was more relaxed like she is at her shows when she knows she is surrounded by fans, she would come across the real way. What is it about Mariah that when she is interviewed sometimes she comes across as stiff? I would love if MC did a real "sit down" 20/20 Oprah type interview and opened up or let her guard down. I think it would help. Where as people like JLo come across so wonderful and relatable in interviews and I'm sorry I don't think that's the case in real life. I don't think I ever told this story after the Beaconc concert but I will if my post allows. OK, so I felt I probably should continue my message in a part two. My husband got me and my sister the VIP package to the December 17th Beacon show concert for my birthday. It was the same show that MC made up the Christmas in NY song. My 8 year old daughter was with us along with my husband. My daughter is a huge MC fan, and always mentions maybe Roc and Roe will be here mommy. Anyhow, when Mariah had the part where Santa comes out he usually throws out some presents. Now remember we were 4th row and we could see her and she could see us. When Santa started throwing things Mariah herself grabbed a teddy bear and aimed for my daughter and it literally landed on our seat cushion and this older woman with adult daughters grabbed the bear and held on for dear life. Well, Mariah tried again, even as much to say "how about this one it's pink and should go to a child" she tried again and threw as I was screaming again "over here" now maybe I am crazy, but I believe Mariah saw us and that she was a child and did try to get it to us. I even read the review from Billboard of that particular show and it mentions how she personally wanted a child to get the bear. Well like I said I could be totally off, but I know she saw us and that is what I believe in my heart. My husband went online looking for a bear just like it but was unsuccessful. The second persona that caught the second bear was an older woman too and held on to it for dear life. So the next time something was thrown, the very nice tall gentleman in front of us caught it and turned around and gave it to my daughter. He made her day and she got herself a nice pair of red MC socks with a butterfly on them. There are some nice people out there too, since he had no idea what he was giving away. On a side note while we were in the lobby of the Beacon before they let the general public inside Mr. Big Jim came into the theater and stopped at the will call window and then into the lobby, so I managed to meet and get a picture with him. It was such a memorable night, and he is such a lovely person and big kind personality. (Thursday 4 February 2016; 18:35)

I mean no disrespect to Stella and in fact love what she has done for MC during this entire mess after MIAM. I love how she turned it around for her. Only thing I am saying is how MC and JP travel everywhere with Stella and the girls. But hey, if it's by MC's request who are we to judge I suppose. Stella (59,453) by Mara from United States I have been getting a kick out of reading the posts regarding Stella and her kids. I brought this up back in July when MC was going all over with JP on his super yacht including Israel. I wondered how he put up, with not only having Stella, but two other kids being carted everywhere he and his date went. It just seemed odd to me back then. Now, forget it. It just is a little off. I mean, I get that she may be Mariah's friend now, in addition to manager, but, when your kids are literally at every date with Mariah and her boyfriend it seems odd to me. I said back then, that he must be a very patient man or an understanding man. I also agree that we don't see enough of Mariah and Patricia together and I wonder why that is. True, we don't know what happens begins what Mariah/Stella allow us or want us to see, but it would be refreshing to see MC and her mom out and about or photographed together or caught out together as apposed to Stella's daughters. No disrespect to them at all, I do believe Stella paid a teemed our old in doing major public relations damage control to Mariah's image and that is to be recognized. What I don't understand is why she is literally every place MC is at every moment. I guess whoever originally posted it was right, it must be at the request of MC. Stella must somewhat enjoy it though, because she has no other life either, other than what she puts out there with her sisters wedding and whatnot. Mariah and James (59,452) by Mara from United States I just wanted to say congratulations to Mariah and James. They deserve nothing but happiness and I hope they enjoy every moment of their life together. I can tell you it is so beautiful to see Mariah as happy as she is, from seeing her at the Beacon show last year when you can see the sadness on her face and all the pain she was going through, to seeing her at the Beacon this year and how she was beaming. How her life has changed. It is truly a beautiful thing and we know that James is a fan of her music and I'm sure he wants some MC songs written for him, so I can't wait for the post Packer album material as we all are craving some new Mariah music. We all know Mariah writes some of her best material when she is in love. I can't wait for this new year, she looks the best she has looked in years and we know the inspiration is there. 2016 is going to be such a phenomenal near for our girl. It's also amazing to me how miniscule Nick has become. He really is irrelevant unless he mentions MC in an interview. Just goes to show how much she has made him. The ring is absolutely beautiful and fit for a classic queen. Millionaire or not, the fact that James Packer wanted to spend that much money on a ring for Mariah says something. He wants to treat her like royalty and she deserves it. I'm glad she gets to show Nick what he lost and Luis too, along with Tommy. I'm sure TM always thought he was the best she ever had. I say go MC. Have a beautiful wedding, put Miss Monroe is a stunning dress and Roc is an adorable ensemble along with JP's kids and enjoy the moment and enjoy the love and happiness. Beacon (58,302) by Mara from United States So does anyone have a setlist of last nights show? It seems like it's a lot of the same as last year. Which is fine, I really enjoyed it and she looked and sounded amazing. My only disappointment is that she didn't do Miss You Most. She sang Hero but not Miss You Most. I wish she replaced Hero with that. How amazing would it be if she gave us a snippet of Where Are You Christmas? Ugh, I would give anything to hear what Mariah sounds like singing that song, other than what I imagine it to be. (Wednesday 9 December 2015; 19:06)

Come on Mariah you always loved George from years ago and you both can hit long beautiful notes with two of the most angelic vocal instruments I can think of. I would literally be in heaven if they did something together. Even if it was a Christmas song. The most recent Christmas classic songs are of course AIWFCIY and Last Christmas. Beacon Theatre (57,270) by Mara from United States Well I got my tickets, I purchased the Gold VIP package. I am really looking forward to seeing the show again and hope she adds some new classic Christmas songs in there too. I wonder if she will sing the same non Christmas songs too. Would be amazing if she did a meet and greet. How did the lucky few get to do that in Vegas? I am going to gift a ticket to my sister and my 7 year old who was mesmerized by Mariah last year and of course my husband. I picked the 17th since it is a Thursday and since we will be traveling late to drive home, at least it's a Friday and not the middle of the week the next day. I bet she will release some more shows the closer we get. Beacon Theatre is such a beauty in itself, add MC the queen of Christmas and NYC and how festive it is, it makes for such a magical night. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (57,159) by Mara from United States Well the new inductees were announced today and while I'm happy for Janet and how it seems to be her year with the great album and everything else, I am disappointed that Mariah wasn't one of them. Mariah is so underrated and is beyond one of the most talented artists out there. Her song writing, composure and delivery is what sets her apart and above the rest. Oh well... maybe next year.
