Re: New song in March (73,246) (73,255)

The Billboard La Reid interview was just his thoughts. It was not like I demand she goes all AC or do a cover album. He said in one interview I'll just let her decide what she wants and when she wants to record an album. He's very open minded and fair towards Mariah. I'm sure La Reid would be totally open for another TEOM type of album. Mature, fresh and playful and focused on her talent.

The more people keep talking about it, good or bad, the more they will keep doing it. "We know she is happy, paparazzi snapping." Lol. I'm waiting for Stella to hire a stunt dummy so she can be in "love" and busy herself. They can double date, but that would be too hard for Stella to oversee her commodity. The kicker is neither will be a factor when this era ends. Tonka may get invited to Dancing With the Stars and Crustella will go back to reality show D listers. She was probably drooling over all the talent at the Mayweather party hoping they didn't notice those Mariah's World ratings.

I think it's the first, she's stuck in a publicity stunt that she doesn't know how to end. It's like even if it's not taped, we're still getting Mariah's World Season 2.

If I was a PR person I would say there's only one option to save your career and image. Leave Stella, Bryan and all of them in LA and go home to NY with your children. Delete everything on Twitter and Instagram and leave the entertainment business for a while. Sit down and talk to people like La Reid and Lee Daniels. Re-hire Michael Richardson. No concerts, no interviews, no gigs. Relax with your children, stop drinking and start working on an album. Meanwhile let Michael, La Reid form a team that is qualified. And stop being a diva and grow the hell up.

Mimi L you know that picture ticked me off. I hurried up and closed my IG. lol If she's really in love with that fool, I wish her the best and I always want her to be happy, but this situation and him irks my soul. I think if those videos of her flirting and stuff while she's about to get married never would have came out or been posted I'd be a little bit better with it.

"She don't" (73,249)
by Edward from USA

While I think releasing a series of 3 or 4 singles before a project is OK, these singles should be intended as part of unit, cohesively that is, not just thrown in there for the sake of having them all as a unit for people to purchase. Mariah greatest songs are usually not singles, so having many half-cooked singles out leading up to a project when they are all flopping is not a good idea. If Mariah is not going to put the effort, I don't see the need of being part of a label. If she produced a series of singles leading up to an album like E=MC2, that would definitely be a different scenario. I hope that by shielding herself too much she's not detaching herself from reality. She should know by now that "I Don't" is not going happen.

Of course I want an album, but if all she's going to put out is singles, at least make sure it's quality singles. Make sure it's singles that she's put some effort into making. I've never cared about number ones. I just want great music.

Control (73,247)
by G.G. from USA

Based on the showbiz411 article, people, other than us fans, see who and what Stella really is. My thing is, if Mariah is ok with being controlled, then why not let someone control your career who knows what the hell they're doing? Not some failed reality tv trash looking hooker like Stella? The longer all of this goes on, the more I "check out" from Mariah' s career.

New song in March (73,246)
by T from USA
| |
|
|
I really now believe that the song coming in March was the one Epic wanted to "rush out" in the new year. It must have something to do with the tour she was going to go on with Lionel. LA Reid's plan is to make Mariah a more legacy act (he even suggested a covers album at one point). Mariah doesn't want to go that route and hence sidelined him with releasing "I Don't". But now with the tour coming she was going to release the song the label wanted all along I do believe. It will be interesting to see if it ever does get to see the light of day because now Mariah can argue there is not more tour, at least not yet. PS. People think Pharrell is the mystery collaborator. But that article clearly states that they talked about their kids. And by the way they were talking about them it seemed like Mariah and Pharrell haven't spoken in quite some time.

Wait until this ends and we get "leaks from sources" that Tanaka used Mariah and Mariah was head over heels in love. We'll probably also get a little diss moment during a live concert like Nick did and all the good stuff. Zero sympathies will be offered at least from me. She gets herself in these situations. How a grown woman can be so naive to let a circus basically isolate her from the rest of the world is weird. By the time Stella is gone (and she will be gone), Mariah's image would be ruined beyond repair.

This picture probably wouldn't annoy me as much had we not known how staged this shit is. Either Mariah is stuck in a publicity stunt that she started off but now can't figure out how to end it or the woman actually thinks this Tanaka person actually is in love with her and not just using her for exposure.

I would've preferred the other way around. Yes, the industry has become more single-driven, but singles tend to be dumbed down (especially in mainstream pop music) and only making singles would waste Mariah's talent. Albums allow Mariah to explore more of her music, experiment with new sounds, and make music she truly loves. Not saying that singles can't be a way to explore new sounds, but it's harder to do so with singles. At this point I don't have any hope left for another hit and I'm fine with it. All I want is for Mariah to regain respect from the public and make critically acclaimed music. If Beyonce can do it, Mariah can absolutely do it too.

There are so many (fake) stories floating around that it's hard to know what's real and who to believe. So was that Stella who leaked the rumors that LA Reid wanted to rush a single out after NYE, but really it was Mariah/Stella who wanted it released? And did she just use LA's name to gain more credibility? Or is the song she's putting out in March the one he was championing? Or maybe he didn't want to rush a song out at all, and it's all lies.

Epic/Sony would be the only label to push her to make another album. But she knows the industry isn't album driven but single driven these days. Unfortunately it's bad timing for us the fans who would want an album because as time goes by and she becomes less and less in demand the chance of getting an album is going to be lower and lower. I have a feeling that MIAMTEC will be her last full studio album. But maybe it's a good thing to only release songs for the fans now as there is a lot less pressure (from the industry) and maybe just maybe one will become a decent hit. And if not she can always just release another one. She's earned the right to do whatever she wants now. She's not a 20 year old up and coming artist.

I doubt La Reid will drop her because that's what Stella wants. I don't think he'll let her release another song under Stella. He's probably waiting for Mariah to wake up and drop Stella.

She said: "I just don’t feel comfortable talking about my personal life." Take a look at her latest IG picture. Why can't she accept that she's not a private person and she is a fame whore. Just admit it and don't act like you're a classy, private person.

If they drop her then it is what it is. I just don't want their friendship to suffer because he's doing what any business man would do. If you aren't bringing in any money then you have to go. It was business when she let Randy and JD go. She should understand LA's position if he does have to drop her. I honestly don't think Mariah cares about being dropped or the music right now. She's happy getting millions just singing the same songs at weddings and parties. She's doing the movie things and seems to be making side money. She's ok with it.

No you're not the only one. I didn't like it at all. I mean the dress would be nice if the breasts would be covered "normal" and not so squeezed. It looks uncomfortable. I prefer the old fashion style with class.

Isn't this the same guy some people on this board we're saying is always writing negative stuff about Mariah? Anyways regardless of the article, I won't be surprised if this happens. Mariah seems to be in no mood to make albums, she is releasing singles at random, which wouldn't have been bad had she actually tried to push them and promote them. Then there were the stories of her not picking calls from the label and all. LA is a friend but he is also a businessman, if Mariah doesn't bring in the money he'll have to do what he'll have to do, plus I'm sure she has some contractual obligations of releasing a certain number of albums within a certain time period. This is again starting to look like "Glitter" era with the label wanting to drop her but is there another label who'll come to get her like how Island did back in the day? She has been burning bridges with so many big companies. When she moved from Island to Sony she talked about how Island didn't promote her and stuff but they did give her a chance with #Beautiful, with the airplay deals and all. She dropped the ball when she kept delaying the project multiple times and by then interest in the album waned down and I think Kanye was ready to release his album so resources were focused on him. While she was in the MIAM era, I remember her jokingly tweeting something to LA with a play on the label name "Epic" hinting that she is moving there. So then obviously Island wouldn't want anything more to do with her project. Anyways if this is true and she gets dropped, I hope she finally fires Stella when Stella can't get her another deal.
