Mariah and Thalia
Mariah met ex-husband Tommy Mottola and his new wife Thalia at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame festivities in March. Mariah said the moment wasn't exactly comfortable but she planned to make a brief appearance at the request of Antonio "L.A." Reid. To her surprise, she was seated at the same table as Mottola and his new wife. When the pair saw each other, they exchanged kisses and pleasantries, but Carey said the meeting was "just weird". This is what Thalia said on meeting Mariah on the Spanish TV show "Salsa Rosa". I met Mariah at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Tommy and I had just arrived and I saw her, so I said "Tommy, look who's here. Introduce me, introduce me." So we met and I said "Finally!" and she said, "Finally!" She has a voice that started a new era in music in the 90s. I used to listen to her songs. She's accomplished so much in her career with her numerous number one songs. And who would've believed destiny would bring me with a part of her past.
