Diva by night, dirtbag by day. Mariah Carey ditched her diamonds for distressed denim on a New York City outing Thursday, smiling for photographers as she left the Peninsula hotel's rooftop bar.
The "Honey" hitmaker, 57, styled Acne Studios' $850 baggy jeans - "finished with hand-applied paint and stain marks for an authentic dirty effect" - with the Swedish brand's layered mesh tee ($580), its front scrawled with Sharpie-like doodles.
The accessories were more familiar territory for the queen of glam: Gucci oval-frame sunglasses ($430) and Hermès platform slip-on sandals ($1,000). Waist-length honey-colored curls, glossy lips and a metallic manicure and pedicure rounded out the ensemble.
Carey isn't the only songstress to try the scruffy jeans on for size. Jennifer Lopez wore an identical pair during an April 2024 walk around New York, back when they cost $620.
