About ADAM from USA: I love MC music

PJW - Mariah vocal condition (44,808) by ADAM from USA I think Mariah wouldn't risk the danger of not being able to sing again with surgery, especially considering the fact she learned how to sing with the nodules intact and what if they're removed and she can never sing again? Julie Andrews is the best example of someone popular who regrets the surgery. Maybe Mariah has consulted with her privately about it. Who knows? However IMO as a fan, I think she should consider some medical procedure to repair her voice because it's clear even from her speaking voice, how hoarse she has become over the years. At this point I think her usual remedies of a steam room and vocal rest aren't enough to regain the condition of her voice to what it was. I think there are enough professional opera singers, musicians, and doctors to consult with that can attest to the fact that maybe surgery is the way to go because as time goes on her voice is "vanishing". BTW does anyone think that maybe she drinks excessively because she's sad about the deteriorating state of her voice and maybe that's her biggest insecurity? (Monday 16 June 2014; 15:48)

Will the real MC stand up for us? (44,721) by ADAM from USA I wish Mariah would speak directly to the fans and address the lack of promotion and going on with her bad press as of lately. It's not JD's fault or Def Jam's. She is clearly very hard to manage and wants to do things her way. It's just hard to defend her behavior from a fans perspective anymore, it's like she's not the same person she was in the past about her fans. What I mean specifically is remember during the Glitter era where she would leave messages on her website and play NTT on Twitter and created Lambily Day to answer random questions from fans or when HoneyBFly was actually a real club and had events to go to with exclusive access? That girl doesn't exist anymore, it just seems like she's ploying all of us like she cares anymore about her music or fans. If she's over the game then just be honest and sign off otherwise don't play both sides of the game and be disrespectful to your most loyal fans and still expect them to support your endeavors. Exclusive Chanteuse - review (43,917) by ADAM from USA I love the new album. I will admit I was skeptical based on hearing YME and TAOLG however I feel the best tracks have not been released as singles yet and agree with MC that when heard as a whole the album cuts are beautiful and hypnotic. IMO, Your Mine Eternal should have been left off the album, its completely boring - dumb lyrics and melody, we didn't need WBT Part 5. Also TAOLG doesn't belong on the album - its lyrics are too verbose and don't make sense in a melodic form, it's also boring and not add anything to the album. My only fault with the album is that she should have dropped these 2 songs and added the Beautiful (re-sung vocal mix) dance mix from the 7/23 voice message and another unheard song from her archives. Aside from that, the album showcases her voice's complete versatility - from the soft whispers, mid-voice, high-pitches and some new tones and textures we haven't heard before. It's truly amazing. I also think the sounds and producers she choose were very complementary to her voice. Hope you guys like as well. My fingers are crossed we'll be able to get her to #1 for any one of these singles. Mariah on tour for the Exclusive Chanteuse album (43,728) by ADAM from USA I would love Mariah to do a tour in the vein of the Charmbracelet album, which was in smaller venues and labeled "intimate" for her lambily. Personally seeing her at Radio City was the highlight out of the many times I've seen her live. I think we can all agree that she would have a tough time selling arenas as a whole throughout the country, therefore the intimacy of smaller venues where there's no one but her most die hard fans would be awesome. She hasn't toured in a long time, therefore I think if she were really sincere about her devotion to her fans and absence from the music scene, she'd go hard for all of us around the world who support this woman in good times and bad. I mean, what legend do you know whose been around as long or longer than MC is still relevant after many years? Even with the criticism us fans can dish at times at her, I'll admit, it's solely us to always makes sure even her lowest charting songs reach #1 on a dance or RnB chart somewhere. I think its amazing the devotion of us lambs. Kudos to everyone. Let's keep our fingers crossed for another amazing era of MC (love the long title). (Saturday 17 May 2014; 0:16)

Mariah on the Today Show review (part 2) (43,713) by ADAM from USA Its so obvious MC was lipping YDK. First clue what that she moves throughout the song and dances a bit. We know from history that MC never dances and sings with a full on voice like that since her Honey days. Second, MC is not a good mimer. She always has at least 3 times in performance that her mouth misses an ad-lib that she should be singing otherwise. And lastly, when she lip-synces the sound of her voice is always the same tone even when the mic is away from her mouth, there's no breathiness or hoarseness. BTW the rapper also was bad and forgot a portion of his rap that was still playing while he didn't move his mouth. If she were really singing live, her vocals would be mixed of full voice, hoarse voice, and whispery voice - which were all evident during ABMB and TMB (mostly hoarse). I just wish fans would stop always creating excuses for her lackluster performances - she has more than enough time to rest her voice, maintain it, release quality music, and at least appear "interested" during interviews and speak on different topics. I've accepted the fact MC is embarassed by her earlier work, Someday, Emotions, I Don't Wanna Cry therefore she won't make songs like that again and also she won't sound like that ever again. This is MC in 2014 - RNB, Hip Hop, thin voiced diva - the way she likes it. I think it would be a more interesting forum if fans would stop being blinded by their devotion and act more as a realist to share our thoughts on our favorite singer. (Friday 16 May 2014; 22:12)

Mariah on the Today Show review (43,692) by ADAM from USA I think she lip synced YDK the new song because new songs should be heard as the record and are a tough sell if sung live because fans can't sing along and the audio is not clear. However, her live version of TMB was embarrassing. As a fan even I couldn't lie about how thin her vocals were for such an easy song to sing. I really think it's true what people have said throughout the years about Mariah's voice suffering vocal nodules and the damaging way she sings through them ultimetly resulting in her losing her range and texture. This has been said many times over by vocal speciallists and doctors so please don't bring on the hate. ABMB was good and sounded great. I think she was better this time around with the live performance vs on GMA last year. BTW does anyone else feel during her interviews she sounds so disinterested in her answers and always uses the same sound bites about her babies and Nick? You aren't the first nor last person to have twins, please move onto a new subject and stop expecting the world to throw you a parade because you gave birth. She's fully exposed again wearing lingerie and panty hose with an open trench coat and gloves. This sex kitten look is so played and tired, I'm mean come on now you are over the hill and someone's mom now. Move on. I'm not saying she needs to be dressed like a nun, but I think we can all agree that no one needs to see all that anymore at the age of 44. (Tuesday 29 April 2014; 23:52)

Album title prediction, farewell or retirement related (42,712) by ADAM from USA I think the reason is she purposely not revealing the album title yet is because it's going to signal that this is her last album. She said on ET Canada that she has a title and that she wouldn't disclose it yet. That's because when promo time comes the 1st week it's out all the questions will pertain to the name and as MC said earlier, the songs should be listened to in sequence and thus will all make sense in the total bigger picture. This would make sense if this were a grand farewell album. Think about it - The Art of Letting Go is so vague without having the context of the rest of the songs on the LP. This is my opinion. Mariah's new album (42,581) by ADAM from USA Well said Mus from UK. I cannot wait for the new album and despite the little to no press regarding it, I think she's going to come hard this time. There's no other artist that has ever had me in such anticipation before a album release like MC. She always delivers a loaded package. There's the vocals, background vocals, lyrics, innuendoes, beautiful photos for whichever era we're in, etc. Mariah is the whole package and we're all so blessed that we have been able to follow her career for so long and been able to say that our girl always delivers. Let's hope she has a strong promo delivery scheduled and hopefully a world tour that she's been promising for many, many years. I don't care if she lip syncs, I just want to my my Mariah moment. Prediction, Mariah's farewell album (42,556) by ADAM from USA Nikki from the USA, I think you may be onto something. I also think this may be her last album. I started thinking that based on her comment on WWHL with Andy Cohen when she mentioned that "if this were her last album" the arc she would want to convey is a complete message and that rushing the album would be a disservice. I think the length of time from her last CD and preoccupation with her personal life over making substantial music just helps support my theory. I think she's done with the music business and wants to live her life. She'll most likely keep producing music for her own purposes and other people. If you don't agree with me just keep in mind two factors - her deteriorating vocal cords and disinteresting music. When can anyone truly say they heard her not dub a performance in the last 10 years? The magic of her voice seems to only be present when she releases a studio cleaned up version of what she wants the public to hear. It's tough to acknowledge but it's true and really I'm ok with it. Mariah's for St Patrick's Day IG pics (42,202) by ADAM from USA Has anyone else noticed how Mariah posted to IG a bikini pic on a yacht with a tinted green filter passing it off as new when it's from 1999? I think she wants the unassuming public to see the side by side comparison to the pics from yesterday with the shamrock tattoo. You can't fool us lambs MC. Stop lying and accept your 44 year old body for what it is today, move on girl. Anyways it's always funny to see her photoshopped album covers and carefully orchestrated social media pics against her candid pics because it's literally like smoke and mirror effects. Mariah's management and voice (42,163) by ADAM from USA I really miss the days when MC's was armed with a solid team who made sure she was scheduled heavily for radio and TV performances, not this sloppy hit and miss team she's had for years. Ever since she let Rachel join her professional team and JD, Randy and other non managerial experienced members of her friends track her career, it's been hell. I don't know why she let Benny Medina go, when he was the best thing that's happened to her career in a long time. I also wish she would stop lip syncing performances and get her reputation back to good standing. Although she's made an impressive career for herself, I'm afraid her misfires of the 2000's will make people forget about her genuine talents. Here's hoping the album is a amazing. I do hope promotion for the CD goes much better than YME and includes a live performance with real vocals for GMA or NBC. (Sunday 16 March 2014; 23:59)

Mariah's new album prediction (42,098) by ADAM from USA Thank you Marissa. That's exactly my feelings about MC. I really hope she brings it this time around, however so far I'm a bit skeptical based on the several singles we've heard thus far. On Triumphant, I couldn't believe how her vocals were downed played and acted as a feature on her own song. Her vocals were so thin and a shadow of what they used to sound like even comparing it against anything on the Rainbow album. I hope we'll be pleasantly surprised with this record. When Nick said awhile ago MC was listening to all her older work getting inspired again, I thought great, maybe she is getting the message loud and clear from what we love and miss from her - assertive vocals, belting, introspective lyrics you name it. I hope I'm wrong, I would like to be. I just think she's acting erratic to detract from the fact her voice is in irreparable shape. Think about it, MC doesn't tour anymore and she has been hibernating for years now so ideally her voice should be rested and in great condition - however she never sings live. Last time she did sing live was for Memoirs album in 2008. If anyone wants to hear the condition of how thin her voice is just YouTube Today Show and listen to anyone of the songs and tell me it's not scary how very voice is worn. BTW don't use the same tired excuse that's its a morning show. Fact is MC knows what's up, that's why she prerecords all performances. A response to all the hostile lambs who don't know how to share opinions about MC (42,093) by ADAM from USA I really can't stand how some fans on here cannot accept whenever other fans who are unbiased express opinions that are not completely "everything MC does is #1 and great". I believe real fans are the ones who can objectively look at someone's track record of material and be able to critique it for what it is (all the while having love for the artist). Just because we say the truth about MC's increasingly annoying mannerisms and sub-par songs and live performances, doesn't mean that will not listen to her music or support it. That is the difference. Haters would just not support the artist and continue to trash talk them while having no history of their work or context. We on the other hand love MC and critique her based on the potential we have witnessed from her. Instead of bashing fans like myself, why not interject reasons why we may feel vindicated for what were saying or provide proof otherwise? I like this message board because of the exchange of ideas between lambs from around the globe. Let's keep up the lively debates on her work. I really appreciate everyone's candor and perspective. Mariah's attitude about younger female singers (42,064) by ADAM from USA I totally agree with J from the USA about Mariah's attitude. It's really unbecoming of someone her stature and just illustrates her insecurity about her own talents and looks. I state my observation about MC with love as a real fan and not some fan that just accepts everything she does as gold. I wish she would be gracious towards the younger generation of singers and not just towards gracious towards young RnB male singers who can highlight that MC is a cougar. The act always comes across as desperate and someone that's trying to hold onto the past that's clearly behind her. I think she's let her insecurities about her deteriorating voice and fading looks influence her behavior too much becaue she doesn't have to shade other females in order to elevate herself to diva status. For example, Whitney, JLo, Patti, Aretha and Beyonce to name a few are always complimentary about other female singers and give lively opinions about their peer's work. MC never does and always throw mad shade. I'm sorry but bad behavior needs to be called out for what it is. It doesn't matter how many octaves one has or hits, no one is above the fray, and there will eventually be someone is comes along who is a better singer than MC. It's like that ya'll. Mariah and Walter Afanasieff for new album (41,320) by ADAM from USA Does anyone know if it's really true that MC and Walter are back together again? This is the wish all her die hards have been waiting for. I absolutely love all the records they created together and feel they produced her best work in my opinion. This is based off the recent track listing that's been circulating the web lately. However also keep in mind that MC was quoted recently as saying she's recorded 2 covers for this record, which I don't think are included in the track listings. (Friday 14 February 2014; 22:43)

Will the real MC come back? drop the diva-tude schtick (41,295) by ADAM from USA This diva attitude as of lately is not cute or endearing to anyone other than herself - who obviously thinks she's the real life Regina George. I am her biggest fan but I can look at her music and behavior objectively unlike a lot of her fans on here. It's really sad that she is so insecure that she cannot age gracefully and behave like other icons. Patti, Aretha, and even Whitney in regards to ushering new talents in the industry and basking in your former glory. Whenever these legends are asked about other female singers they always give some sort of feedback. Mariah can never acknowledge another female star without some catty comment or side eye. Even JLo whose the same age as Mariah and has similar fame in her own right is positive about MC and is not shaken about other females. The Ariana Grande shade was very mean spirited because you know she's heard her music before and especially since Nick is a DJ there's no excuse that she doesnt know todays modern music. I just think that it must have hurt a lot to have MC not even acknowledge Ariana as a person when in the past she's always been so nice about MC in interviews. Its ashame because Ariana is so young and you would think that having a daughter would have made her softer to accept young girls in the game.
