It was super crappy for him to say it so publicly. If this article is real, he has a lot of nerve. I normally don't mind other artists saying things about the state of her voice if they are trying to help her and want her to do better, but he was trying to be funny and embarrass her. Re: Memoirs (62,024) (62,031) by Licia from USA I actually thought I disliked Memoirs until another fan asked me what songs I listened to from the album and I named dang near the whole album. Lol. I think the remix album that got shelved made me give Memoirs another shot. I already loved HATEU and Impossible, but when the remixed songs got leaked I started to enjoy it more and I went back and listened to the original songs. I was so ready for that remix album though. This is the only regular Mariah album that I didn't buy and I really regret it because I didn't give the album a fair chance for some unknown reason. I love HATEU, The Impossible, Ribbon, Candy Bling, Up Out My Face remix, Angels Cry remix, Inseparable, I Want to Know What Love Is, and Obsessed. I try to be respectful to everyone here regardless of whether I agree with them or not. I just felt that some of the things you said were uncalled for even if it was a joke. Ok so moving on. Yes that fishnet outfit was a mess and I'd like to burn it. If she could always wear that red gown she wore at that Paris party I'd be happy. Depending on the type of dress less is definitely more. It was a good ten years before I knew JD helped write the song. I knew he helped with the remix (which I love to infinity and beyond lol), but I was really impressed with him more finding out he was a creative mind behind the original song. Like everyone else has said she keeps saying she wants respect, but she's doing things that are causing people to not respect her. I've been a fan since the beginning. I know what this woman is capable of. She's better than what she's doing. If you agree with what she's doing then continue to do so, but we shouldn't have to accept things we don't like just because we're fans. The funny thing is most of the critical posts are coming from people who I know have always defended Mariah whether she was wrong or right in this forum. Re: Beyonce (61,732) (61,737) by Licia from USA I think the reason Beyonce sold as much as she did was because of how they rolled out the album. That HBO movie was a stinking genius idea. I have to give her props on that. I'm not a huge Beyonce fan, but I do like a few of her songs. I try to be fair when she releases something and at least give it a listen. IMO this album is not what it was hyped to be. That movie helped to sell an otherwise lackluster album. I didn't care for the album before this one, but IMO that one was way better to me. If the rumors about Bey and Mariah working together are true, all I want is a great song. This is not my dream duet, but if it gets me new music I'll deal with it. Lol. (Friday 29 April 2016; 15:52)

Essence Festival (61,464) by Licia from USA I'm so mad at the people that are performing the night that Mariah is performing. Of 12 acts I only know and want to see Mariah, Charlie Wilson, and Lalah Hathaway. All of the good people are on the Friday show like New Edition, Faith Evans, Maxwell, Babyface, Tyrese, and V. Bozeman. I was only going because of Mariah, but I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money for the whole weekend to see other acts. I was hoping most of the good acts would be on Mariah's night.
