Cruise Control is a song I'm just now falling in love with. When the album was released I was too stuck on Love Story, For the Record, Last Kiss (my favorite), Thanx for Nothing, and I Wish You Well to give Cruise Control a fair shot. What she does is her business, but when you pull attention seeking stunts and broadcasts these stunts for the whole world to see you kind of make it everybody else's business. Furthermore Mariah is too old to be "acting out" and I doubt this behavior comes from a break up with a man I honestly don't feel she really cared about. I'm still bitter about that switch. I like Boy, but it wasn't single worthy. I appreciate Irresistible because of the sample and the ad libs from Ice Cube and the Westside Connection, but I would definitely choose You Had Your Chance over that one. I just see two school age children playing kissy face with the cameras for attention. I find it funny how most of these same lambs are now saying how much happier Mariah is with Brian like they did when she got with JP. At first JP was the perfect man for her because he's mature and a billionaire, but now he's no longer any good. Brian is perfect for her now. At least he's perfect until they fake break up. I didn't really get her and Nick together, but she was happy and he seemed to have kept her grounded. My issue is that I don't believe she is really with this man and that they are playing with the press and the general public for ratings.
