I'm glad another artist defended her and explained it. Why she couldn't just wing it was definately one of my questions. Now though this whole discussion is like beating a dead horse. Everybody should just move on. It happened. Even if Mariah finally gives a great explanation and does it humbly it won't matter because the general public has already made up their mind that Mariah is a lazy diva who can't sing anymore and she got the humiliation that she deserved. Like you said because of her bad reputation people will always come at her negatively. It also doesn't help that her manager won't shut the h*ll up and continues to add more fuel to the fire with her interviews. Hopefully when Mariah comes out of hiding they will focus on moving forward and not moving backwards by continuing to drag this out.

There are some parts that were lipped. I probably ignore it because the parts she did sing she sounded great. I absolutely love this particular special. Yes those ending whistles were awesome. I'm still pretty bitter that they didn't release The One as a single.

It's not a matter of whether or not she wanted to perform there and that's no excuse. If they hadn't received payment by the time allotted then they should have cancelled way before two days of the concert supposedly happening. That's not fair to the fans. If this was in fact a non-payment issue for Mariah, her team should have handled the situation in more of a timely manner. My gripe is not with Mariah. My issue is with the people on her team who are paid to handle things like this and they dropped ball.

As another poster asked on this subject (sorry I forgot who asked) why did team Mariah wait until a day or two before the concerts were to start to pull out? Seems like they had a plan for payment and it was to be paid way before and it seems like they had more than enough time to cancel. It's baffling to me as to why they waited. Now once again Mariah is in a position where her name and brand are being drug through the mud all because her team didn't do their job.

The show you described sounds great, but that will never happen because the general public wouldn't like it. They want mess so that's what Blusharella gave them. What you described is what I wanted to see and is just awesome.

Miguel's biggest hit was not Beautiful. Lol. Anyway you could read the board and other social media platforms to understand why many fans are not supporting her as vigorously as they used to. It's not all hate and alot of us have valid reasons not to support alot of her ventures as of late.

I know music isn't Blusharella's main concern. If she keeps blocking we may never get it, but I can't put all that on Blushy though because Mariah has been allowing it. Whether it could flop or not I'd still like new music. After reading the article I definitely don't want it in three weeks or a rush job.

If this is true Stella is going to have Mariah without a label. Why would you block someone who's technically Mariah's boss and a really good friend of hers?

I just want to know what made her or them choose Banaka Tanaka as the fake boyfriend? He's not even cute in my opinion and he seems like he's goofy and would get on her nerves. Anthony on the other hand is a beautiful man and I would have preferred that he got the part, but from the way y'all say he acts like a diva on the show that might not have worked. He's still pretty though. Lol.

Seriously though whatever is going on I hope she's just really taking a break to get away from all the bad press. I don't even want to think it's another Glitter situation. I refuse to believe that's what it has come to. I honestly don't think she's firing Stella. If she's reevaluating her team I doubt Stella is one of the people who's going. As always I wish her the best and I hope this hiatus gives her peace and clarity.

Mariah left Twitter message (70,994)

So from this message she will really address the NYE mess when she's ready. She feels that DCP were trying to embarrass her and she's taking a social media break, but will still be fulfilling her contractual obligations and she looks forward to starting the tour in March. She also thanked all her industry friends and the real fans who have supported her.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's manager sounds off (70,966) (70,971)
by Licia from USA

Right. Half the country already had seen it. It wouldn't have mattered if they reshoot it. The damage was done. I'm laughing so hard at her response to Tommy because she sounds like a prepubescent teenager having a tantrum because she doesn't like what the older, wiser, and more experienced adult had to say. Lol. I'm not a Tommy fan, but his advice was solid. Stella may need to shut her enhanced lips because he has a long history with Mariah. If he really wanted to he could potentially do some damage to Mariah and her brand. Stella needs to think about that while she's pissing off people with maybe more money and greater connections.

I was actually going to try to watch at least one episode of the show, but once those pictures of her and Banaka Tanaka and their fake romance got leaked I changed my mind. I knew then that the show wasn't going to go in the direction I thought it would. Alpha-Tella is a winner. Lol.

You all are really making me glad that I decided not to watch MW. In the beginning I felt like an unsupportive fan, but now not so much. Just reading your summaries make me cringe. It turned into the type of show I didn't want for Mariah. More about the drama and less about the artist.

Yes what Tommy said was very respect to Mariah. Stella being the great intellectual person she is responded as we all knew she would. Lol. Although Tommy gave Mariah some sound advice, because of their personal history I fear that his words will only push Mariah further into the hands of her new team. She may not be willing to listen to anything that's being said because it comes from him. On the one hand I understand why she wouldn't listen to him because of the personal history, but on the other hand she should push that aside and think of how well her business was managed during that time and take heed to what he's saying.

Special K I was thinking about how cool it would be for her to do a parody of the situation after I watched Colbert do it. The added acapella would definitely silence alot of naysayers. Team Mariah has an opportunity to turn this whole debacle around. Stella is too busy cursing people and accusing networks of sabotage to see this.

I agree with alot of what Wendy said. I just didn't get what Nick getting someone else pregnant has to do with any of this. This is not a team Nick post so don't anybody get their panties in a bunch. Both he and Mariah moved a while ago. Mariah was almost married again and allegedly has a new man. She doesn't seem to be worried about or care about anything Nick is doing. Anyway she's performed a few times since she found out about the new baby. Why would that information all of a sudden affect this particular performance? Wendy was just being petty by bringing that up.

Didn't he get fired once before on the second leg of the Vegas shows when Banaka (I know that's not his name, he just reminds me of that funky breathe spray Binaca from back in the day lol) took over and got promoted to creative director/fake boyfriend?

I actually agree. I know she has wanted to do things beyond music. Logically I understand her need to branch out, but the illogical fan in me just wants her to stick to what I've always known her for. I posted the article for the people who thinks that Stella getting the boot soon. This is the direction Mariah wants to go in and Stella is helping her so she's going to be around for awhile was my point.

She isn't going anywhere and I don't see any new music in the future. There's this article about how she and Mariah are partners and started a production company called Magic Carpet Productions. I see Mariah moving further and further away from music. Here's the article if anyone wants to read.

Thanks for the explanation. I've been trying to understand how the ear piece and monitors could effect the performance and how them not working prevented her from continuing. I want to understand what happened. Not just throw sand in her face.
