This could be added to the list of things that I don't need or want, but I definitely understand why she's doing it. Christmas and that song have become one of her biggest and easiest ways to earn and although I don't want it, I can't really hate on her capitalizing from it. Hopefully the children will enjoy it. I agree that was a missed opportunity. I expected so much more from both of those tracks because I've wanted those R. Kelly and Mary J collaborations for years. I want to believe that if she ever worked with Babyface again that he would motivate her to do better than what she has been. I just refuse to believe that she'd half ass anything with him. My favorites from him are I'm Ready, Shh,Tell Me What You Want Me to Do, Can We Talk, Tomorrow, Round and Round, and Always In My Heart. There's another song he's on from the Jason's Lyric soundtrack called You Will Know, but he's not singing by himself. It's a group song with a whole bunch of male R&B singers. Her and Babyface writing together is a magical thing and they constructed Never Forget You beautifully. They made my life when they sang together on her Christmas special. I've always wanted them to sing together. Not just her on background vocals or him on background vocals. Of course on any given day I'd choose Mariah's catalog over Celine, but I'll never diminish Celine's achievements or act like she's not one of the greats despite her not being the songwriter that Mariah is. I was happy pretending she wasn't somewhere lurking in the building. Lol. I agree that Mariah looked so at ease. Nothing looked forced. She was just having a good time.
