About Licia from USA: I think I'm Mariah's oldest fan lol.

Re: Artists you love that may surprise others (76,008) (76,011) by Licia from USA
Five Star and The Jets? I haven't listened to either one in ages. Now I need to see if they are on my iPod. That's good music right there.

Re: Fickle lambs (76,003) (76,010) by Licia from USA
Nothing about her behavior as of late is or ever will be iconic. Believe it or not since she's been losing big part of her fan base she actually needs the general public. The few fans she has that are willing to support her won't always be enough.

Re: Janet Netflix series (75,978) (75,993) by Licia from USA
I'm a reality tv junkie. I love the mess, but there are certain people who's personal business I don't need to see aired out and Mariah is number one on that list. I honestly didn't expect Toni B and crew to be so open and honest about some of the the things that they did. I just knew we'd only see or hear about things that were already public knowledge like her divorce, her lupus, and her financial issues. Already knew there were certain things that Mariah would never openly discuss, but I didn't expect to get the fairytale mess that we got.

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,973) (75,975) by Licia from USA
Exactly. That's why I want her to stop putting out these half baked singles. With the exception of a few songs, MIAM proves that she has so much more in her, but if her head is not in it right now then just stop. I don't want the music to stop, but I also don't want these children that she's trying to impress to believe that songs like Crapfinity are the best she has to offer.

Re: Janet Netflix series (75,948) (75,953) by Licia from USA
I don't know if I want to watch a whole show about Janet's divorce, but I am interested in her touring, music process, and of course her being a new mommy. I just recently watched the finale of Braxton Family Values and although it could be a mess fess, I love how they touched on many relatable and hard to talk about subjects such as Toni's vocal issues, her lupus, their dad's infidelity, Tamar's husband and his supposed infidelity, each sister's divorce or marriage issues, their everyday problems, and their children. Although many of the scenarios may have been manufactured and Tamar's meltdowns and shenanigans really annoy me at times, they still managed to created a good show with spots of messiness for ratings. It seemed more real than not. I wished Mariah's World would have focused on the music and talked about real issues like her vocals and her divorce. Not the made up for TV moments I've read about. I wanted her to be relatable to the general public, but all they did was turn her image into this two timing, man crazed diva.

Re: Mariah Carey/Bruno Mars - Someday/Treasure (75,932) (75,933) by Licia from USA
Thank you. Those mixes are awesome. My favorites would have to be Someday and the Emotions ones. The Versace on the Floor beat made You're Mine enjoyable. Never thought I'd say You're Mine was enjoyable. Lol.

Is this mix on YouTube? [Webmaster: Yes it is, I've added the link to the original message.]

I'm just shocked that Shawn is even talking about his family. I unfollowed him a while ago because I thought he was rude. Does his Twitter bio still say that he doesn't talk about his family? If so he needs to go back to that and just hush.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm not disappointed in her not being involved, but what can you do?

I rolled my eyes so hard when I saw that on Ig. Promoting everything, but music. Not even really promoting the dang tour.

Re: Merry Christmas II You (75,896) (75,898) by Licia from USA
I agree. One child and When Christmas Comes are beautiful songs and the vocals were top notch. This era showed that she could still put together great music. I don't know whether it was the pregnancy that motivated her, but I'd like her to get back into that space.

Re: Mariah Carey, debut album (75,808) (75,814) by Licia from USA
LTT is a number one isn't it? Lol. That really shows how much I care about her number ones. When I talk about certain songs I don't love or hate it because it was a hit or not. It was just either a great song or horrible. LTT is just a great [censored] song with the added bonus of being a hit.

Re: Battle of the albums round 1 (75,811) (75,813) by Licia from USA
Can I choose both? I can't pick one between these two. My love for the Mariah Carey album is the obvious answer of this was the album that made me pay attention and love Mariah's music. I was 12 when this album came out, but I didn't fully appreciate this album until I got older because then I actually understood what she saying in each song. Emotions is just great. A very cohesive album. Not a bad song on it in my opinion (not even the one song I skip). I'm refusing to just pick one. Lol.

Special K she sang Love Takes Time during one of the Vegas shows. I believe it was the second leg of it. I have the audio from when she performed it because she sounded so good. I agree she doesn't do the song often though. I think that's the first time I've heard her sing it in years.

I'm glad she posted something as well. It was really sweet. It probably meant a lot to his family and friends that she acknowledged him.

Re: Why do we die hards stick around? (75,553) (75,558) by Licia from USA
I really can't answer this question. It's never been so hard for me to stop supporting an artist as it has been with Mariah. I guess I just hold on to the hope that eventually get her crap together. I know she can do better.

Re: Breakdown (75,505) (75,516) by Licia from USA
It's so crazy because Butterfly has never been a top album for me even though I listen to six out of twelve of the tracks. I'm compelled to sit and really listen to the other six songs that I never gave a chance so I can get a better understanding of why the Butterfly album is considered a fan favorite.

Breakdown (75,493) by Licia from USA
Last night I developed a new appreciation for Breakdown. The song doesn't pop up on my playlist that often and when it does pop up I usually just skip it because I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. It popped up last night and I decided to let it play. I listened to it three times in a row like I had never heard the song before. This song has to be one of her smoothest Rnb /Hip Hop infused songs imo. Everything just meshed together so well. The vocals and the raps are perfect. Anybody else have moments like this on any of her songs? Like you didn't fully appreciate a song until you heard it years later. I'm trying to steer my mind away from the mess and focus on what's most important so indulge me please. Lol.
