About ADAM from USA: I love MC music

Re: American Idol dresses (64,788) (64,797) by ADAM from USA
I agree. Mariah never looked better in her life than when she was on Idol. Her hair, makeup, nails, and wardrobe were a 10 everytime. However I think Mariah hated her outfits. Do you remember he Jimmy Fallon performance where she ad-libbed TAOLG and mentioned American Idol? She sang a line where she said she hated going to that place everyday and making her wear those dresses. So it seems like while we all loved her image during that time, she clearly didn't and I guess was upset she couldn't go on live TV with a bra and panties lol.

Re: Weightloss? What weightloss? (64,514) (64,533) by ADAM from USA
Lol. I live for your posts Andrew. Mariah needs to just accept her physical features for what they are because she has made and continues to make herself a laughing stock. The delusion she must be under to photoshop her images to death. That what really kills it for me. Anyone with a half of brain can see that she's not near what she puts out. It's really a shame. Imagine how her children will grow up and adopt the same unhealthy body dismorphia?

Broken engagement? (64,490) by ADAM from USA
Does anyone think Mariah is hitting the bottle too hard? She looks lately in several appearances like she has a glazed over look and I haven't seen her engagement ring on. Does anyone think there's trouble in paradise?

Re: The weird weight loss (64,477) (64,479) by ADAM from USA
I didn't think that. I think she's just aging. Her muscle are losing definition and she always had a pudgy face. I just think now that's she's 47 she's not able to conceal these factors. If she worked out to build muscle vs tone, she'd look better but the weight on her face she's stuck with. That's why she contours her makeup and always angles her face in public to accentuate her jaw line and reduce face bloating. I think she doesn't have a healthy relationship about being a woman in the spotlight and aging. What makes it worse is not that people don't expect her to age but that she dresses cheap in ill fitting clothes which bring on riducule. She's hasn't let go in her head she's no longer the sex kitten.

Re: Bruises? (64,475) (64,478) by ADAM from USA
Normally I'd be concerned but she does have 2 children at home. It's more uncommon for a parent to not have any bruises or cuts if there's children around with toys, erratic behavior and little Jack Russell Terriers involved. Mariah doesn't seem like the type to stick around for any type of domestic abuse that were physical.

Re: What's with the stockings? (64,442) (64,453) by ADAM from USA
There's something that's consistent in every set of pics between James and Mariah - they look like associates. She's doesn't look engaged and doesn't touch his arm. She always looks as if she's disconnected or disinterested. She looks like his paid company. Mariah looks more interested and excited whenever she's around Bryan Tanaka or DJ Suss One. Is it weird during this era? I'm just waiting for her to snap out of it.

Re: A question for all (64,359) (64,373) by ADAM from USA
Haha. Aside from living as well I'd say the best thing from this last year has been her working the intro for Emotions and singing the climax for WBT.

Re: Poor Mariah (64,347) (64,357) by ADAM from USA
Wow. Spot on. As a fan of MC, I see her choices that's she's made professionally and personally as all her own. I think some people take Mariah's lyrics or confessionals during interviews a little too personal and feel like Mariah isn't accountable for her own behavior and choices. Nick was someone who she fell in love with and is the father of her kids and not the "villain". When they were together she genuinely looked the most in love and it produced the first and only set of children she's ever had. That's no small feat. When two people get together it takes the love and commitment from both ends to make a relationship work and when it no longer works out anymore, it's okay. When two people break up it's because they feel that point, they'll both be happier apart. Why does Mariah have to be taken advantage of? It's so silly. To me, whether it's Tommy, Nick, Stella or James. These are all people who had/have relationships with Mariah and at one point or another were close with MC. We'll never know both sides to anyone's relationship so why do we feel the need to destroy or victimize the other person? We all have been kind, loving, and at times with other people mean, unkind, and drift apart. This includes Mariah Carey. Let's just vote on whether the content she creates is good or not and remember that we are all human even the ones we consider to be supernatural lol. Thanks for reading. No ill-intentions from this post.

Re: Tragedy in France (64,323) (64,329) by ADAM from USA
I think your criticism of me was fair. I was being a bit harsh in tone and expectations of her. I feel guilty about what I said but know that I can't be so stringent in my opinion of her that when someone is making amends to not forgive them. There's so many frequent violent acts of hate going on in the world this past year that I think we could all learn to love one another and just support each other. Mariah if your reading this (I know she's not lol) I'm sorry for anytime I've hurt your feelings. It's not my intent. The source of my frustration has only been out of love for your talent and because of that, I always hold you in such high regard with high expectations. In summation, I'm glad she's aware of what's is going on in the world and has responded in some fashion of her remorse.

Re: Tragedy in France (64,306) (64,319) by ADAM from USA
Or maybe she just cares to speak up when it affects white people. I don't know how else to interpret it when she completely ignores the tragedies that have affected gay people in Orlando or the Black Lives Movement. I'm not suggesting she has to speak up for every movement but when you cherry pick what you support like she does it leaves you open to every opinion. Here comes all the dissenting opinions now and all the comments about how Fly Like A Bird and Outside and tokens of her appreciation for these minority groups. No thank you. It's not good enough. Flaunt your diamonds and endless self promotion of your body somewhere else.

Re: When is enough really enough? (64,211) (64,213) by ADAM from USA
While I'm a fan of her music from the 90's still, I find that her public image and way she's distanced herself from her fans and music in recent years has made me grow apart from Mariah. I think her music was honest and introspective when she worked with 2 or 3 other writers/producers at most. Post Glitter, her credits are filled with anyone and everyone and she doesn't seem to have to heart in her in music like she used to and seems to have a plastered smile on in everything she does. I feel she's decaying inside for many years now and uses her money and image to drown her sorrows. Whatever the case may be, I find I don't like the person she has become and see her becoming like Prince or Whitney if she doesn't change the course of her life. I don't blame the entourage or Stella or find that there's any one specific person or entity influencing her. I believe in life one surrounds themselves with the message they want to hear. And in Mariah's case it's truly Mariah's World. I'm just not buying into anything half baked that she's pushing. The wool over my eyes has been lifted.

Re: JP (64,048) (64,049) by ADAM from USA
Whenever I see pictures of JP and MC together she looks dead behind the eyes and has a smile that looks uncomfortable and fake. I feel like she looks in love and lustful whenever she photographed with Bryan Tanaka vs her own fiancee. I think she's with James for similar reasons to probably why she went with Tommy. Security and a older mature figure. I think Mariah is obsessed with status and wealth and will go to the lengths of even marrying this dude because it makes her look good. She's jet setting so much that she never seems to be alone enough times that she has to worry about being so intimate with James.

Re: ADAM from USA (63,880) (63,890) by ADAM from USA
My point wasn't about her weight at all. My side comment was a footnote on the bigger issue which was her behavior degrading her talent and legacy. Very similar to what you were feeling. Her weight was never an issue with me. Her weight gain always seems to be an issue with herself judging by the awkward angles ill fitting clothing she chooses to wear. I wasn't fat shaming her. I think when she's heavier she look good and seems to wear more flattering prints and silhouettes IMO. In closing, I feel bad when Mariah comes in public looking trashy because inevitably people always blame her stylists at the moment. But the truth is stylist are paid to buy fashions for their client that the client personally wants. At the end of the day Mariah is going to walk out the house and choose whatever pieces she wants in the order she sees fit. This is not one bad outfit Mariah wears. She is habitually known to wear this cheap trashy Jersey-esque atheistic that she likes. And if she likes it, so be it. Doesn't mean that I have to like it.

Re: TMZ (63,860) (63,868) by ADAM from USA
It's incredible how trashy she's developed her career into. All the tax leaks with gossip and photos from her team. To her showing up in a bra and panties in public. Who is this chick? Where is the respected musician? Mother of 2? Fiancée? She really is lost in her own hype. It's amazing how warped she is to get anyone to talk about her and still see her as a sex icon. I guess when you can't see relevant music anymore and lose the weight off your face and body like your 25 yo you just give zero xxx and walk outside naked nowadays. Interesting. She just keeps digging herself deeper and deeper. There's no conspiracy out to get her or Tommy or JLo. Have several seats MC.

Re: Stop drinking the Kool Aid (63,865) (63,867) by ADAM from USA
I agree. While she sounds amazing on this last leg of the Vegas shows, personally she seems out of it. Her flaunting her T&A to the most to her flaunting her diamonds to whoever will listen. She is not fooling anyone with her phony fiancé and her "see me like I'm 12" facade. She is certainly spiraling out of control. I'm just glad that the children have Nick as a stable secure father who has a extended family that loves them.

Re: Mariah's Orlando tweet (63,349) (63,352) by ADAM from USA
Exactly. This tragedy in Orlando has been a global event and yet not a peep from her. Could her recent interview with Pride magazine be anymore generic? I thought her answers were so canned and overarching that it could be applied to any sub group or audience. She once again has proven that she will say anything to not alienate one group over another when in actuality gays have been keeping her relevant and rich for all these years when the general public has written her off as a joke and has-been who lost her voice.

Randy I really appreciate your insight and agree with your previous statements about her live performances. I don't consider it bashing or mean spirited. This is a fan-site and I visit this site regularly to engage and read about multiple viewpoints about Mariah Carey. She is not perfect and certainly does things that warrant criticism. I think it's healthy to debate topics like these and hope that you don't become swayed to no longer be honest on this forum because some people think this should be a pep rally for all things wonderful about Mariah who does everything perfect and 100%.

Re: Repetitive Vegas show (63,321) (63,324) by ADAM from USA
I don't know why she couldn't sing acapella after each era of #1s. She couldn't sing some of her favorite non single songs? She's just so lazy. I love how the premise of SSFT was that she's change up her songs based on each city and yet she never did outside of Fly Like A Bird. It's funny because as much as she complains about singing the same ballads all the time, she does nothing to change it when she can.

Re: Repetitive Vegas show (63,298) (63,316) by ADAM from USA
I know. I feel like she hyped up so much that she was going to make small changes to the show for repeat visitors and yet its always the same hack. Same thing for SSFT. She's lazy. She has such a big catalog of songs to sing and could take 10 minutes in a 1.5 hour show so sing acapella some obscure cuts for fans and yet always does not. It really bothers me. This is not something the band has to rehearse or needs an additional costume change. I keep thinking what she did during Jimmy Kimmel's outdoor show where she sang The Roof was clever and appropriate to sing whatever fans requested in the room. How amazing would it have been to go to Vegas and hear her sing Breakdown, Sllpping Away, Prisoner, or Do You Think Of Me?

Mariah on IG/Snap Chat with Bryan and DJ Suss One (63,236) by ADAM from USA
Has anyone seen the recent vids from last night posted on IG/Snapchat where MC is exhibiting THOT-like behavior? Theres 4 clips of Bryan and DJ drinking hard liquor while Mariah is posing awkwardly in the background with a tight slip dress pushing up her boobs up and is very tight all around. At the same time she blows air kisses to DJ Suss and sticks out her T&A towards the camera. All this from someone whose engaged and a mother of 2. Very interesting to say the least. I guess she would be ok if Nick Cannon did the same thing while they were married or James? Yeah right. She doesn't even like other females on the same stage as her. I get Mariah likes to have fun I would not be surprised the James Packer thing was just a cover up and her feelings were not invested into it. His status is what's keeping her attached. Does anyone else agree or disagree?

Re: Article: Gaga fans start petition to stop Madonna and Mariah (63,004) (63,005) by ADAM from USA
I think you're misinformed. Just because Mariah has gay people in her entourage and personal friends she has not made overt strides within the gay community to warrant an award from GLAAD. I agree with Gaga's fans that she is more deserving of that award. Gaga explicity supported the gay community before she became a star and still does in no unclear terms like Mariah does. Mariah has always generalized any statements about her music for all fans and not made any specific statements or overtures addresses the gay community or our struggles. She's never performed at Pride events or denounced any public figures who spoke of any anti gay rhetoric. Just because she allowed her image to be used on the cover of several gay magazines and referenced 2 gay men during her childhood who helped her mom does not make her a gay ally. With someone of Mariah's stature and influence among spiritual/black community, Mariah had the potential to become a real icon for the gay movement if she wanted to but she has not. I'm not saying she should. I'm just stating facts and correcting any false pretense that Mariah is a gay ally or rightful recipient of a GLAAD award.

Re: Mariah fabulous life (62,997) (62,998) by ADAM from USA
I just wish that interviewers wouldn't play into her tangents or diva antics. Why won't interviewers just re-direct her to answer questions like a normal guest and not give the same canned responses she always gives? I think Mariah is given too much control during interviews. Just sit down and talk about the product you're here to promote. It's incredible how all her appearances in the media are always about her lifestyle and not about any substance. She has such a long career and so many topics ones could possibly ask her about and yet Mariah's team consistently approves each media outlet to ask the same questions about her wedding, children, and jewelry. Such a shame. They could ask her about recording new music, changing her sound, working with new producers, her ideas about recording a covers album, changing her hair color, anything else. Is anyone else just as frustrated by the missed opportunities? At least up until 2002 Mariah would answer fan questions about her career using Twitter and her website. Nowadays she's not involved in any form of contact with her fans. Not including the staged "Mariah World" scenes with her fans backstage.

Re: The Lopez resolution (62,989) (62,993) by ADAM from USA
I agree with your statement. This is such a divisive topic on this board. So much time has passed and yet Mariah is still catty and mean spirited about this woman. Mariah has said so many passive aggressive comments about JLo from her not producing or writing her own music to her "being just a dancer" so her IDK shade in many interviews (Allure magazine, Mirabella magazine, Hot97 interview with Star). It just all is bitter. I am a fan of both woman and feel that if Mariah were to put her ego to the side that they actually have the potential to become friends as they have a lot in common. However I just think that Mariah and many fans are way too insecure and invested in drama to really have that happen. While I agree that Tommy Mottola used JLo's record to swap music samples, I don't believe that JLo was even aware of such a thing nor should be blamed as a result for some personal vendetta that Tommy had against Mariah. It's clear that they were romantically involved and Tommy used his influence in music to try and sabotage her upcoming projects. And before I get torn to shreds let's not forget how Mariah was romantically involved with a married Tommy Mottola with who had 2 kids at the time. I'm not judging Mariah for what she "knew" for didn't want to know, I'm just proving a point that anyone could be kept in the dark about a situation. Mariah needs to stop trying to create gossip and drama and start remembering how humble she used to be when she had no fame, fortune, nor food on her table.

Re: Gwen (62,965) (62,969) by ADAM from USA
Maybe I also need to let go or adjustment my expectations of Mariah. I guess I'm in disbelieve still that everything Mariah is public or interviewed she continues to convey this uber-wealthy diva gimmick and is all about the lighting and angles vs the musician who is here to promote music made from her soul. The truth is she's been like this for many years and I just think I haven't let go of what she used to be. I'm not referring to her singing ballads but to the musician who was serious about her craft and image. I just feel like she's a joke and a caricature of what she probably thought she'd never be when she started in the game. I feel like she's cementing her legacy not as an artist but as a Marilyn Monroe wannabe diva who sometimes sings. I think she really emulates her life to be like Marilyn and is lost excess and her own fame. Does anyone else feel the same way? I can't remember the last time she gave a serious interview or answered questions without sounding like an airhead or showed off her wealth in some kind of way. You would think that as time goes on she would be the most secure in front of the camera but instead she is incapable of being recorded on camera without pulling, tugging, or directing some sort of lighting. Who is this person anymore?

Re: The blame game (62,656) (62,657) by ADAM from USA
Lol. Thanks Andrew for your commentary. I could not agree more. It amazes me how some people still can't grasp the concept that a grown 46 year old woman who has achieved fame and fortune simply put is just not as invested in her career or fans as she once was. For many years now, Mariah has distanced herself away from communicating directly with her fans and has alienated any opinions from friends or family member who try to give her real talk. She has created this bubble she's orbiting in and likes it that way. I just find it scary how so many people still find blame in every other person that's not Mariah for her mistakes.
