You call this song a "poor man's Over and Over" and forgettable, you call Lil Nas X a "one-hit wonder". Is it because Old Town Road broke Mariah's record? How can you call Lil Nas X a one-hit wonder if this is his first single? And if there's one song in Mariah's catalogue that is forgettable, than it is One Sweet Day. I really like Old Town Road and I think the song is better than anything on Caution. (But then again, I think Rainbow is Mariah's best album and I think Did I Do That is the best song on that album.) Recently, you said that Everything is Love was underwhelming. Now you say it sold 5.5 times more albums than Caution in the USA and 8 times more worldwide. In 22 years, Butterfly has sold 3,807,000 copies in the USA (according to Wikipedia). That's only 14,420 copies per month. Caution has sold 18,600 copies per month. So Caution is doing way better than Butterfly. B, I love your attempts in trying to look for reasons why Caution is not the flop everybody else knows it is. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 23:32)

I thought it would sell way over 100k. I think the album and singles underperformed. I compared Caution to Charmbracelet and here are the results: 1) Charmbracelet sold over 3 million copies worldwide, Caution less than 200.000. 2) Charmbracelet had two (minor) hit singles: "Through The Rain" (a top 10 hit in 7 countries) and "Boy (I Need You)" (no. 17 in the UK). Caution had zero hit singles. According to Wikipedia, "With You" and "A No No" did not chart anywhere in the world ("With You" only reached top 10 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, it did not enter the Hop 100). So in comparison, Charmbracelet performed 15x better than Caution. (Sunday 17 March 2019; 15:44)

It never entered Billboard's Hot 100, and the only country where it entered the regular charts is Hungary. No 8 on Billboard's Adult R&B Songs is not impressive, nor 12 weeks on that chart (Queen Naija is 19 weeks on the chart and is currently at No 1; H.E.R. is 38 weeks on the chart and is currently at No 5). Billboard 200 album chart (86,976) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands Finally Billboard published the album chart for the week of 8 December. There is good news and bad news. The good news is that Merry Christmas is at No 19 (up 31). The bad news is that Caution is at No 55 (down 50!) in its second week. (Tuesday 11 December 2018; 09:59)
