About Lainsky from Philippines: A Mariah Carey fan since "Love Takes Time." However, "Butterfly" remains my favorite album of all time. Timeless!

Mariah, who was caught on camera, appeared to be disapproving but maintained a neutral expression out of respect. The only rendition that I did not particularly like was Maggie Rogers' soulful version of Honey. She made Honey too soulful for me. MTV Unplugged and Glitter significance (113,095) by Lainsky from Philippines While MTV Unplugged proved the critics wrong and helped Mariah Carey recognize her ability to connect with her fans, the Glitter era and its associated controversies significantly changed her as both a person and an artist. Primarily, it humbled her in profound ways, deepening her connection with her true fans. As an artist, this experience strengthened her and gave her sound a more mature quality while still reflecting her authentic persona. Both MTV Unplugged and the Glitter era hold their own significance; I believe these experiences were necessary for her growth into the person she is today. Regardless, I still love the Glitter album, which she has described as a soundtrack. It is my favorite next to Butterfly. MTV Unplugged and Glitter significance (113,094) by Bobby A from United States I watched the MTV Unplugged concert yesterday after thinking about one of MC's most famous phrases. MC said, "You know I am not used to doing this." MC finally received a breakthrough moment when she realized that she could connect with her audience. And yes, she did connect with her audience in such a huge way after all of her nervousness, hesitation, and lack of performance experience. MTV Unplugged proved all of her critics wrong that she was just a manufactured studio artist. I believe after the MTV Unplugged concert, MC began to really overwork herself to the point it caught up with her during the Glitter era. The JD bounce (113,050) by Bobby A from United States It would be smart of MC to plan a JD ballad as the lead single for the deluxe edition of HFIA instead of a new remix version of one of the album tracks. IYF making it to the top of the R&B chart shows that people have missed hearing a Mariah Carey ballad on the radio. Releasing a JD ballad with that famous JD bounce could propel MC back to the top 10 or higher on the Hot 100 during the second quarter. I feel something big is on the way this March. I envision a sound reminiscent of her earlier work, similar to her first albums up to "Daydream". It would have a pop vibe with a touch of R&B, featuring elements like those found in "Fantasy" or "Dreamlover", as well as "Love Takes Time" or "Without You", and songs akin to "Underneath the Stars" or "Can't Let Go" Additionally, it would be great to hear another remake or duet, which has become a tradition on her albums. I hope she titles the album something like "Nostalgia", "Old School", "Back Then", or "Classic", something that fits the overall theme. Otherwise, it may be a surprise. And if they release a new song, I hope they are also planning to release "My Love". It could be a potential hit in the UK, and yes, I associated it with Paul McCartney, that's why I assumed that. Her cover songs sound like her own songs. Again, I wish they would. I somehow can't link the screen grabs here but it's on X and Instagram. He posted some pics of her in a pink dress that were in the album sleeve I think, looked very familiar. I saw someone mention that it might seem desperate if it's recorded with Bruno Mars. That could be the case, or it might not. He has a new single out now that sounds like it's going to be a hit. I believe that their vocal ranges and qualities blend well together, and it could work out. If this collaboration leads to a hit for both of them, why not, right? I just think there's an opportunity for Mariah and her team to seize at this moment. Great news (112,924) by Lambi from USA Last October, I stopped by Gamma Headquarters in LA in search of work and was fortunate enough to make a somewhat direct link towards Mariah's team. Long story short, I've recently been brought on in a new capacity. Of course, for contractual reasons, I'm not able to share in-depth behind the scenes. What I can say is that I'll now be part of a new, real-life Mariah community, which likely means stepping away from this board, not for good but at least for a very long while. It's truly been a wonderful experience here. Dove, Giovanni, Mimi L, MusicFanJ, Terna, Lainsky, Randy, Joachim, Lara, Rashidi, and TJ, I've loved reading your stories, ideas, and reviews. I'm hopeful I'll continue to work my way closer to MC, and I'll absolutely try to relay your ideas and perspectives. That's when I found "My Prayer" by Mariah Carey, featuring the Music Box 30th Anniversary cover. I clicked on it, listened, and was blown away. What a beautiful gospel song from that era. Now, I'm feeling conflicted. Should I be upset that this song has been around for over 30 years and I'm only hearing it now? Or should I feel thrilled about discovering it? And then, I was also expecting "Breakdown" only to find out they were released for airplay only. I remember I was so sad and only recovered when "My All" hit the top spot. It could become another No. 1 after the Christmas season. Mariah and her team should capitalize on her Christmas hits by promoting "HFIA". The album and singles are too good to be overlooked by the general public. She could even release a deluxe edition with a few new songs, similar to what she has done in the past. I know that streaming plays a significant role in today’s charts, so she might want to consider how this strategy could help "IYF" and other singles from the album become hits. It's disappointing that "HFIA" seems to be struggling right now, as I had hoped it could provide her with another No. 1 song or at least a few top ten hits. Only fans from the '90s, who remember her long-standing success on the Billboard charts, can truly resonate with my feelings about this.
