About Mara from United States: I'm a Mariah fan since the debut. Been through her entire career with her and may not always agree with every single thing she does, But i will always come to her defense when she gets attacked for being misunderstood. I am not a blind fan and relate Mariah to a sister who I would tell in a minute if something seems wrong or something of that nature. I come to this board to discuss her with people who I feel are true fans and yes, some don't always praise her to the heavens every single moment but we all are here for the same reason and we do adore her.

Clear up rumors (67,882) by Mara from United States So the 50 million story, is that true or not or do we not know? The reason I'm asking is because it is out there on every news source and she is literally being dragged for it. People are calling her a gold digger and that is a nice word compared to some. I really feel if it is untrue that her "people" or person need to address this and right away. Enough with the getting people talking mind frame. This is not good for Mariah as people are unhappy with her diva like over the top behavior to begin with. A simple official statement from even Mariah herself or her spokesperson to finally address it and it will go forth to the other outlets. She needs to dispell this story if it is false, unless it's true. If it's true, then that is that. I just hate that this is overshadowing so much right now. Tomorrow she will be in Toronto and supposedly performing too so I'm excited about that. I just wish someone would clean up all this dirty laundry that has been coming out on a daily basis. Emotionally invested (67,802) by Mara from United States At this point, cutting ties with Stella even if Mariah wanted to, will probably be on the level of Tommy Mottola minus the marriage. If you think about it, Stella is not only her manager but family, friend and every member of her family is related to something of Mariah's brand. Stella basically pushed out any and all of Mariah's other people and family/friends it seems. With how public Mariah's life has been and on display it seems, we haven't seen old friends all that much or family. I do understand that maybe it is done privately but I don't even know anymore. We know how smothered Mariah felt with Tommy running everything, well insert Stella to that old picture. It would take a whole hell of a lot to change things in MC's life right now even if she wanted to. Maybe that is a battle she isn't ready to deal with. While Stella seems to be truly friends with Mariah, is it really healthy to mix this strong of a friendship with management duties? I think she should find a way to maybe stay in her zone with Stella but find someone new to do the big time jobs. I don't think I would put family or friends in that job. How can that be healthy? I really feel having Stella's sister' cousin, brother in law, father, daughters whoever in such control of Mariah is unhealthy. Why is there nothing ever said about Miska being out with a 46 year old woman holding on to her like she is 30 years old at 2 am in clubs or wherever? Mayer she just really like MC and is a night owl like her too. Does anyone know if MC knew Stella and if so how well before she became this string of a force in her life and the role of her manager and family all in one? Like, we know Nick knew Stella but how well did MC know her? It's all so odd and quite sad really. Mariah surrounds herself with Stella and her family and only Stella and her family all the time. I guess some of us do invest too much emotionally in MC, but really, honesty it's only because we really do care about Mariah Carey the person after all these years and have seen her burnt too many times, so when we see "red flags" we do tend to make a fuss over it. Her style however, ehh, why so much black all the time. It's almost witchy. And Stella's style really seems to be rubbing off on MC, especially the face they even have the same nail polish color, blood red. At least she has those sexy pumps on as opposed to those chunky black things. I love these shoes she has on in these pics. She always rocks this style the best. Bryan looks all too happy to be photographed in these shots I must say. And as far as the ring goes, I do believe it is a diss to James, it's like she is showing him she is not being very careful with it for all it is worth and also placing it on her "middle finger" like a big **** you. Macy's / MAC (67,669) by Mara from United States So to change the vibe, I went to Macy's today and they had a big sign saying MAC cosmetics now here. Immediately I thought about Mariah's line that is due to come out soon. So as I walk through the store and approach the cosmetic area they have a big MAC cosmetic section with holiday themed make up and such. As I am looking I notice a familiar sound and it was our Mariah YDKWTD. Wow, what a nice moment to be in the mall/Macy's and hear the beautiful sound of a Mariah song. That song should have been a hit. It was played in the MAC section. I wonder if since they are putting out her line soon that's the reason a song less familiar to the GP as YDKWTD came on. It was such a great surprise. It sounded so good, my husband is saying "come on" and of course I said, I'll catch up, I have to listen the rest of Mariah. (Saturday 29 October 2016; 23:40)

Re: Packer (67,643) (67,650) by Mara from United States Man, with all this talk about this "something terrible that happened to Mariah's assistant on the boat" so bad that is traumatized Mariah enough to cancel her SA tour. Makes you wonder what really happened on that yacht. Maybe James threw Stella in the ocean. I can imagine it must have been pretty tempting with how in your face she was at all times. Ok, I'm kidding obviously but it really does make you wonder. They keep saying terrible but the add "not violent". This has been one of the strangest weeks in Mariah news I think ever. It's up there with Glitter. I got my tickets to the December 14th Beacon show. I wish that was what we were talking about. Doesn't seem like she will add the extra shows like she has in the past two years this time. It's a shame this is what we are talking about instead of the fact that November is quickly approaching and it's her time. The Tanaka one came out later last night. Must have been what they discussed at their table at Nobu. On a side note, what is Mariah's fascination with these Herman Munster looking shoes? If they came out and said "manager" we would all know exactly who they were talking about, hence the word assistant is a bit more vague. We also know Stella's personality is pretty confrontational, unless the assistant was Bryan but he was not in Greece at the time in September. What a mess this is. This has Stella's name all over it. Why feed the fire? Just say they are working things out behind closed doors and trying to resolve some issues or please respect our privacy as we take a break. Anything is better than what is going on. Why try to discredit a persons character? Do they have to state mentally unstable? If Packers team wanted, there are plenty of things they can come back at Mariah with as we have seen from the partying pictures all summer and throughout the tour. Stella needs to stop this and If Mariah ever needed to clean house, now is the time. She should enjoy her Christmas era and Beacon shows and focus on her kids and music. Maybe in the spring go over to South American and do a free public show or two for those fans who are so loyal to her but now very angry. I have to say that indeed maybe James really just found out about the Bryan footage. James doesn't seem to me to come off as a social media type as he seems to important and busy to care, therefore didn't see the pics we all saw during the tour. A lot of MW includes Bryan and Anthony going to zoos with MC and visiting landmarks in those countries so maybe it was too much for him to bear. Who knows? It would explain the abrupt exit of Bryan from Vegas though and maybe why and I hate to say this, maybe why Mariah added Hawaii shows around Thanksgiving. Since James doesn't usually tour with her, she would be able to spend time with Tanaka if he was visiting family over there. Listen to me with my adding fuel to the fire. Whatever you want to call it, and adding the dahhlings in there was not warm enough. A front page statement on her horribly updated website and a post to her Facebook page would be a start if she can't record a personal message. It really seems like perfect timing for this breakup news if you ask me. Also why they added they are broken up "for now". Take the focus off of this disaster until it dies down. This woman is toxic and I would like to see the Stella defenders come to her defense now. How totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Unless this is aimed at Mariah, she is supposed to be the manager of a woman, the legend, the brand Mariah Carey. This is not Tiny we are talking about here, no offense to Tiny. But come on. This is how you behave? This is classless behavior, especially when she knows all eyes are on MC right now with all these stories. TMZ / James and Mariah (67,560) by Mara from United States Ok so apparently this story keeps on growing. Now TMZ states that something big happened in Greece when they were all vacationing and James did something "bad" to Mariah's assistant, hence Stella, and Mariah left and went back to LA. Ok now I vaguely remember a tabloid story that Maraiah and James went to Greece to try and salvage their relationship. Makes me wonder who is feeding these stories to the tabloids and TMZ. They always say according to this inside source. I don't know about you, but if I were Mariah I would really start to think long and hard as to where all this so called inside info is coming from. She needs to look at her inner circle a little closer unless she is in on it as well. Makes you wonder if James was the one funding and behind the promoters for the South American tour and that is why it had to be pulled. Would make sense as why Mariah was quoted onTwitter saying she was very disappointed in the promoters and how her fans deserved better than that. It almost had a personal message to it to the promoters. But then it states that James and Mariah are done "for now" all very odd to me. Well now Mariah is free to spend Thanksgiving in Hawaii with BT. Still hoping this is not reality TV drama. (Thursday 27 October 2016; 21:03)

Re: TMZ is reporting the split (67,543) (67,546) by Mara from United States Wow. I seriously hope this is not some kind of warped way of gaining viewers for MW. I mean, I love how it eludes to the fact that Packer was not happy with Mariah's relationship or whatever you want to call it with "one of her dancers" (Bryan) and that it was captured on video and will be seen on the E show. So it's like they are trying to spark interest in seeing the way Mariah interacts with BT. Then you have the fact that Tanaka was promoted to Mariah's "new Creative Director" in the June leg of the Vegas shows, even having his formal announcement on social media and Mariah's shout out mentions and thank you's to him at the closing of her shows, and then abruptly sometime in August we have Anthony Burrell back at the job with no public mention. Then the Twitter/Instagram pics of the Halloween party with Tanaka tagging everyone but Stella in the pic and then later the day Stella posts the same pic and crops Brian out. (Yeah I had too much time on my hands that day, lol, home sick with flu.) But all I'm saying is this really seems like Kardashian type hype for stories on their show. I really hope I am wrong. SA tour (67,513) by Mara from United States Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I remember reading the fans in Brazile saying how bad the ticket situation was and they were desperately trying to get Stella's attention throughout social media. The economic situation is very bad there now and apparently the tickets were bought by those ticket companies and they raked up all the ticket costs or something like that. The fans were having a hard time affording the ticket costs therefore they were not selling that well. Now I don't know in terms of numbers how many actually sold but do you think as she stated it was a promotional thing? Low ticket sales? It's all just so weird sounding. We know she planned on flying out early and that is why she had her Halloween party early. It just doesn't sound right, only three days away. I hope she makes it up to those fans who were looking forward to seeing her for so very long. (Wednesday 26 October 2016; 15:29)

She invites him on tour and out of the three Hawaii dates will get a decent Mariah approved performance of the song with Jussie that they can put on the show. Makes me very excited for Wednesday's show. "Kitty" is basically Mariah without all the over the top diva talk. People are saying she should have just played Mariah, but I think that's what makes it more interesting, almost. Mariah without all the "Dahhlings" and Divaisms almost makes a good change in her persona. Just to see Mariah be "Mariah" just toned down. (Tuesday 4 October 2016; 2:28)

Infamous (66,822) by Mara from United States Ok so I actually like it. I wasn't really expecting anything big with this song and after listening on repeat I do feel it's a grower. I think it fits with the show after seeing the upcoming scenes with the song used. I can very much do without all the snaps in the song and the auto tune. I like the darker feel, and the way Mariah places those whistles is something I have missed. I also liked the fast piano singing moments, almost classical operatic feel that I would love her to dip into more. One thing I do wonder though, why do we have TAOLG type vocals on this when she sounded so amazing live recently? She does not sound bad on this song, But she sounds tired and her voice sounds dry. She sounded so clear on the Vegas "My All" vocals. Maybe she recorded this when she was on vacation and having all those "splashes" ala "I Will Survive" karaoke. (Thursday 29 September 2016; 16:14)

Rainbow Mariah (66,528) by Mara from United States Came across this video of Mariah in Vegas for a stop during Rainbow and just wanted to share. I guess she indeed made it big. (66,508) (66,509) by Mara from United States So Mariah is enjoying some "down time" before she starts up the next shows of the SSFT and then of course hopefully the Beacon Shows. She travels with all of these people now? All these women from Stella's family? I'm assuming it's Mariah that is paying for all of this. Now in this video along with especially that one of her eating at the table with James, Stella and two other men. The video is only two minutes long but she just looks a little sad. Still not sure about the whole James situation. You hardly see her look or talk to him. It's almost like if James marries Mariah, he gets two brides. Mariah and Stella too. I still don't understand how any man can be satisfied with spending time with his fiancé along with an entire entourage all the time. Maybe they do have time away privately but it just doesn't seem it. I do hope Mariah finds time to reflect and write some of her signature type deep songs like each of her albums always have.
