I think she looked absolutely gorgeous in that video although I never liked the concept. The leather outfit and the setting was odd if not ridiculous. Loved the chandeliers in the barn though. And the original version of the song is one of her best over the last years. Should have been a massive hit. Everytime one of my friends hear it they mention just how beautiful (pun intended) the two voices go together and how they love the sexy vibe of the song. A missed opportunity. I found her to be very bitchy and unlikeable in interviews. God knows the drugs turned her into a walking nightmare but even during her early days she never came across as a warm person. She lost all credit with me when she tried to upstage Mariah during their live rendition of "When You Believe" at the Academy Awards. Throughout the entire performance there is a clear tension between the two of them and a certain moment Mariah even glances at her like "Come on, really?" Whitney was a good if not a great songstress but she comes nowhere near Mariah's versatile artistry. Okay... they both suck at acting. (Sunday 27 May 2018; 13:11)

This has nothing to do with style but is merely focused on making headlines while wearing the most bizar creations. Mariah looks her best when she plays the Old Hollywood card like at this years Golden Globes. As you mentioned... better appreciated elsewhere than to be tolerated at this "circus of the egos". Paying 1500 dollars to have a very brief photo opp (one can hardly refer to the situation as a meet & greet) is a bit out there and all but democratic. On the other hand if they would charge a more friendly amount it would become an overtly time consuming and difficult affair as hundreds of people would buy those tickets. I do like Andrew's suggestion of a lottery but I doubt if this is doable from a safety point of view. I have no doubt that the meet and greet ticket buyers are screened by Mariah's security team beforehand. Nobody wants to take the risk of letting some lunatic close to Mariah (albeit that her team over the past years consisted of many a crazy bugger). Anyway if a fan is willing to pay those prices, let them be. Honestly I wouldn't hesitate a moment but my bank manager begs to differ. (Tuesday 8 May 2018; 14:06)

People magazine article (81,743) by Tijl from Belgium In the newest issue of People Mariah opens up about one of her darkest secrets namely suffering from bipolar disorder. This clearly means she has entered a very important transitional phase of her life. I am really glad she decided to give the public a glimpse of the person behind the diva. Re: "Rainbow" era (81,543) (81,552) by Tijl from Belgium The album cover of 'Rainbow' is by David LaChapelle who is notorious for extreme use of airbrushing and manipulated imagery. At the time his work was very much en vogue. Many pop artists and celebrities have worked with him over the years. His photography is considered art by some and gets scrutiny from others. Mariah most likely chose him to further infuriate the suits at Sony. LaChapelle is also the one responsible for the mess that was the "Loverboy" video. His work is worth to have a look into... although many consider it too kitsch and very pastiche-like. I don't mind the cover, it is very camp but than again the album is called "Rainbow". Happy anniversary to "The Roof" (81,455) by Tijl from Belgium Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary since "The Roof" was launched as a single in Europe. This song remains my all time favourite Mariah track. The mood, composition and lyrics paint such a sensual and striking picture. The video was great with Mariah looking sexy yet demure. The fact that it reminds me of a sultry romance from my past that occured very much the same way (it was November, it was raining and there was Moet&Chandon) as described in the song only intensifies its appeal.
