Re: Mariah's next look (83,613) (83,620) by Tijl from Belgium The type of makeup you are referring to is designed for the stage and always looks harsh in pictures but is completely appropriate under the heavy lighting of a stage. Every person going on television is heavily made up to obtain a natural effect yet looks ridiculous in natural light. When she is out and about, Mariah's makeup is always natural. I do agree on the flat hair though. She should get a nice bob. It would completely flatter the shape of her face and increase her sophistication tremendously. At a certain age the long tresses are just a no-go. She does need a new stylist. I don't mind a glamorous gown once and again but the short dresses are so '90s and often not very flattering. Who was her stylist during the AI era? She looked incredible in the live shows. (Saturday 8 September 2018; 11:16)

I checked Amazon.co.uk and indeed there is a new release planned for the end of October. The site mentions a special edition for the Japanese market. Let's not forget MC is still huge in Japan so it could be MC15 as a try-out but it just might be a(nother) compilation. We'll see. (Friday 7 September 2018; 10:52)

There are so many gems out there that occasionally even surpass the original songs. I still play the first remix album a lot especially the RnB disc. Isn't this the perfect moment to unlock the endeavours of the skipped "Angels Advocate" project if not the great remixes from TEOM and later eras? Bring it on MC. (Thursday 6 September 2018; 17:36)

Mariah may have issues and some skeletons in the closet - just like everybody else - but she is definitely not a fool. "I am a press conference, you're a conversation." It still blows my mind that a creature with the likes of Kim Kardashian, basically a non-talent, has managed to become a superstar. We are lucky to have experienced an era of great singers. An epic diva duet like "When You Believe" is unimaginable these days. I really enjoyed her first endeavours in music but of late her songs have become incredibly tawdry especially since she jumped on the EDM bandwagon. Mariah takes more effort to appreciate if not understand as an artist. J-Lo being the more respected and popular version of Mariah? More like the-cheaper-to-get-Aldi version of Mariah. I have never been a fan of that kind of headshaking-amipossessedbydemons-twerking extravaganza. All I noticed was her mimicking MC's NYE look with that white fur coat and embellished ensemble. Furthermore I believe it simply surpasses a matter of double standards but a major shift in moral that has occurred over the last decade. Whereas beforehand substance abuse if not the regular use of cocaine was considered something belonging to the world of rock stars and Hollywood. These days whenever you hit a nightclub or whichever other venue there is a blatant omnipresent acceptance of drug use. The taboo no longer exists and the "redemption" of silly starlets such as Lovato, Lohan or any other star of that caliber in the media creates further excess among the public that perceives that kind of behavior as glamorous if not the standard.
