I've been a Mariah fan since Charmbraclet, there was something about that album that connects on a deep level. Other favourite albums are Glitter, Daydream, The Emancipation of Mimi, and Me. I Am Mariah. My Favourite Mariah Songs are: The Art of Letting Go, Fantasy & Shake It Off. My Least Favourite album is Music Box. My most start-to-finish listened album (don't-skip-a-track albums): Emotions, Butterfly, The Emancipation of Mimi and Me. I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse.

(99,064) (99,075) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Mariah has literally been singing this tune and rolling her eyes at the Grammy's for a decade and a half (a female who was at the top of her game), knowing they are so inconsistent and it's all opinion and music politics based. Now that The Weekend and Drake are getting vocal about the same issue (males currently at the top of their game), the public seem to be all ears and listening and questioning. There's no rhyme or reason for nominations or wins; if it was only what's popular, The Weekend would be nominated in every category that pertained to him in 2020 (rather then a fat snub). If it was all a deep scientific research based deep dive into quality music (whatever that would look like) Milli Vanilli never would have won even if they actually song on their album. Whether it was Emotions (song), the entire Daydream era fiasco, the entire Butterfly album, or even Caution album, the random snubs and dismissal is clear as day that it's an inside hateration job. Is Beyoncé really worth half a million Grammy's? Is U2, seriously? I wish Mariah's intro at talk shows and award shows would stop saying "5 time Grammy winner..." as the lead. Drop that and say "19 World Music Awards; 15 Billboard music Awards, the legend and Songbird Supreme Mariah Carey". (Wednesday 8 December 2021; 19:15)

Two questions (99,024) by Matty from Vancouver Canada First, has anyone tried Mariah's cookies and are the delish? (This is a commercial endeavour that I find fun, smart and relevant to the queen of Christmas brand that makes a lot of sense to me, so I'm not at all hating they simply aren't available in Canada and I'd love to know how good they taste.) Second, what are these cards from her wallet where she's wearing a Christmas marvel mask costume on the cover? I don't understand what they are or why one might purchase them? I used to look every year for a Mariah calendar or note book at the book stores when I was younger and could never find one. I'd buy those to this day, I just don't understand these drivers license things and what you do with them. (Thursday 2 December 2021; 19:19)

One minute everyone's worried Mariah is irrelevant, the next is that she's signed a deal with the largest food chain in the world, who would only do a deal that they know will make money (this isn't Arby's, Wendy's or KFC, it's McD's). BTS fans flipped out and loved when they did it, why are we gonna hate on MC for the same? Is it in contrast to her campaign for Jenny Craig after the twins were born. Yes. But, we can acknowledge she's not getting paid millions for this deal by being "irrelevant". I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but in Canada she's still getting lots of play with her non-Christmas music (Obsessed, ABMB, Fantasy, #Beautiful, WBT). I don't think Mariah is unhealthy at all (she won't glow the way she does atm, and we've seen her rough in the past, at a much younger age). McDick's is a nice treat. No one is forcing anyone to do all 12 days of cheap food. If you do, that's up to you to reflect on. (Thursday 11 November 2021; 15:27)

Re: Aaliyah 20 - August 25th (98,535) (98,537) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Absolutely; apparently Aaliyah really believed in Rock the Boat as a single and really pushed hard to get it released before MTAW because she thought it communicated more of the vibe of the red album, it was unique and it would be a great end of summer jam; where as MTAW was musically more similar to the first single We Need a Resolution. The label gave it to her because of how impressed they were with that final album, and trusted her judgement when it came to the single choices (something few have trusted Mariah with for some reason). Aaliyah 20 - August 25th (98,528) by Matty from Vancouver Canada 20 years since BabyGirl passed. I can't even fathom the heights that beautiful soul would have reached. I've always believed MC wished she had the freedom to explore R&B the way Aaliyah did in the '90s. What albums do you think are Mariah's "most Aaliyah" albums? My vote is Butterfly and Caution. Re: Mariah hits number one in Germany (96,972) (96,974) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Amazing. According to Billboard-Canada AIWFC is at number 2 (behind Mood by 24kGoldn). Last year AIWFC hit number one for the first time on Billboard-Canada charts. Music Canada Charts has AIWFC at Number 1 and Oh Santa! at number 4. (You have to pay to see the full Billboard-Canada chart which I ain't got money or priority for, so I don't kow where Oh Santa! is on Billboard-Canada.) (Friday 18 December 2020; 02:11)

A brunette Christmas (96,900) by Matty from Vancouver Canada For the next Christmas spectacular era that MC treats us too, I hope she gives us a brunette Christmas, like she did in Christmas era number one, 1994. I feel like her brunette locks are more inviting and beautiful then her blond-caramel, and I've personally always loved the debut, debut Christmas album and Imperfect Angel (ah la Oprah) moments she's give us the most the most, out of all her hair moments. Rarities package from MariahCarey.com? (96,663) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Does anyone know when "The Rarities" package from MariahCarey.com with the vinyl, CD nd book are going to get shipped? Are all three items supposed to be shipped together? I've messaged LiveNation customer service a number of times over the weeks (via the website and directly via the customer service email) and haven't gotten a response. Millennials and Gen Y are the same generation. Virgo.miss, the mistake you made is the exact correction I was making. It’s so frustrating as a Millennial that people think we are people born during Y2K. The oldest millennials were approaching 20 by the time they year 2000 came around. Millennials (91,595) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Kaj Mandalia, aren't millennials a huge huge bulk of Mariah's fanbase? (Those born between 1981-1996.) As a millennial born in 1985, I was coming into my musical own during Mariah's massive Butterfly and Rainbow moment, then hitting the club during her Emancipation through to Obsessed Jump Smokers remix eras. Everyone my age grew up listening to Mariah everywhere, singing into their hair brushes while dancing in the mirrors as lip syncing children, and then listening to her bangers in the club. I think you're referring to Gen Z (1997-2012, so roughly 22-7 years old now). (Wednesday 11 December 2019; 22:12)

I am a massive Charmbraclet [sic] fan, and it's absolutely my favourite off the album. That belt, that's whistle, that sunflower/Dave Navarro video. It's her best cover ever. You're so correct; she never squashes the originals thunder, she Mariah-fies it. You know when she covers a song, it's always done with respect and admiration for the original. My top covers of Mimi in a very particular Order are BOTH; Beautiful Ones, IWTKWLI, AAO (featuring Westlife version; ya know, the one that would've been a stone cold global hit if the label even dared to release that version in the US), Without You, Open Arms, One More Try. Nick definitely was not coming for Wendy’s gig, he was creating his own gig and Wendy allowed him to use her platform to show his skills as a talk show host rather then a game show host. People vandalize stars on the Walk of Fame all the time. Not sure what you're digging for tbh Wendy and Mariah used each other for the PR game the same way Nicki and Mariah used each other for the PR game. Re: Happy 24th anniversary Daydream (90,972) (90,978) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Two weeks ago, I revived my gold vinyl-press of Daydream from "Vinyl Me Please" and I forgot how flawless this album is. Fantasy is my life anthem (favourite song of alllll time), but my goodness does Long Ago, Underneath the Stars, Melt Away and When I Saw You, blow my mind on Vinyl. I remember this album was the exact moment Mariah transitioned from my mom's favourite artist (in the adult contemporary vain of Celine, Vanessa Williams etc.) to my absolute queen. Every summer we would do a road trip as a family from Guelph, Ontario to the Atlantic Maritimes (Halifax, PEI, Moncton, St. John's etc) and Daydream was one album the family could all get on board with blasting on cassette, in our '93 Mazda MPV (even my Nirvana-fan-bro of a brother was down). I also love after hearing this album in vinyl, I could identify what she did on Daydream was a foreshadowing of what she did on "Caution". Long Ago and Melt Away could fit beautifully on Caution, right after "With You". (Friday 4 October 2019; 03:45)

Re: Celine Dion (90,962) (90,965) by Matty from Vancouver Canada I never thought I'd hear anyone describe Celine as soulless. She's dripping with soul and emotion when she sings. It's funny that when Celine and Mariah first signed with Sony, their stories were so similar (power house vocal, older men steering their careers and personal lives, even their Sony debut album covers look identical). The difference is I can't name a single scandal Celine has every been the centre of during her career. Mariah has had scandals, feuds and a public followed life from the start. Celine doesn't care the weight of all the drama. Plus she's given that breathing room to let the public miss her. (Wednesday 2 October 2019; 03:40)

Mariah's given it so much love over the years, and she did such an amazing rendition when she performed it for the Obama's, they could have used that live version. I also hear it on the radio all the time during the holiday season. Wonder if it wasn't included because someone involved in making the track wouldn't sign off on its inclusion?
