Former "American Idol" judge Mariah Carey may be a beloved singer; however, she isn't a stranger to showing off her fashionable ways. That's just what she did in a recent social media post that showed her wearing a chic sheer dress.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, February 14, the music industry superstar shared a photo of herself in a sandy location with the evening (or early morning?) sun giving her a golden glow. Along with slipping on sleek sunglasses and a few pieces of jewelry, Carey wore a form-fitting, full-length black dress that featured a see-through section around her thighs.
Fans loved Carey's look and left plenty of comments on her post to let her know what they though of her sheer style. While a fair share of people were clearly into the dress, some might also have found it familiar. That's because another iconic figure just wore a gown that was strikingly similar if not the exact same one.

If you follow both Carey and Vera Wang on Instagram, then you might have noticed that they appear to be fond of a specific style. While the singer wore a black sheer dress in the post that she shared on Valentine's Day, the fashion designer popped up a photo on the same day that showed her wearing a red version of what looks to be the same gown.
Wang also wore a white version of the style when she attended the TAAF Heritage Month Awards Dinner in New York City on May 2, 2024.
